Chapter 407 - 407: Operation Tiger

[Chapter 407: Operation Tiger]

In the office of Coast Building, Campos pulled out a stack of photos and handed them to Hawke and Edward.

Hawke flipped through them quickly. In all the photos, the female figures changed several times, but the male lead was always the same -- golf superstar Tiger Woods.

When Twitter had just launched, Hawke had attracted users' attention with celebrity gossip scandals, naming several candidates.

On the sports star front, Kobe Bryant and David Beckham contributed to Twitter's growth, while cycling champion Armstrong had minimal influence and was not followed.

Of the four candidates listed, only Tiger Woods remained.

Hawke pondered a key question: "I remember this tiger got engaged -- did he get married?"

Campos replied, "Woods married Swedish model Elin Nordegren last year."

If Tiger Woods hadn't married, the matter wouldn't mean much -- at most, it would be a case of multiple affairs, common among stars, a small issue. But being married marked a critical point.

Although Twitter's growth had long been independent of such matters, they could still attract attention, Hawke thought and directly said, "Go ahead and shoot."

Campos nodded, still waiting.

Hawke understood, "You shoot as you please; I just want to see the results."

"Okay," Campos understood that he would take full responsibility for this matter.

As he left the office, Edward followed and said, "Get something explosive; the heat from the spy case has passed, and California's a bit quiet -- we need to keep the public's interest."

Campos thought to himself that the media frenzy from the spy case had quieted only for a few days, but having gotten used to the hustle and bustle, the sudden calm felt like something was missing. They needed to stir up the public interest again!

"Don't worry; there will definitely be some explosive photos and videos," Campos prepared to leave, but Edward grabbed him, "Is there anything else?"

Edward inquired, "Does Tiger Woods's wife have any children?"

Campos paused for a moment, then remembered, "I think she's pregnant."

In those photos, there were images of Elin Nordegren. This bastard Edward, with his old habits surfacing, said, "Brother, you must get this woman's contact details."

Campos patted his arm, "I'll get it for you later."

...

As Edward walked back, he took out a small notebook from his pocket to jot it down, but he didn't know where his pen had gone.

Grabbing a pen from Hawke's desk, he started scribbling in his notebook.

Hawke glanced at the familiar notebook and didn't bother to ask more. He was set to interview the investment manager chosen by Jett Brown and reminded Edward, "You and Campos handle this; once you get it, directly hand it to Sasha. The costs will go through the proper channels."

Edward replied, "Got it."

Hawke checked the time and said, "Let's go; we need to head to the foundation building; people should be arriving soon."

Twenty minutes later, they met Jett Brown in the investment foundation's office, along with the Irish investment manager Roger Keene who had come with him.

After Campos returned, he immediately called a meeting.

The news filming business had been handed over to Juan, with Lareya and Elena acting as assistants, along with several paparazzi and news informants.

Los Angeles had no shortage of Mexican-Americans.

Campos sat at the head of the conference table and said, "This matter is completely our responsibility, and we need to come up with a plan quickly that can capture explosive live footage while also uncovering hot news to ignite public opinion."

Lareya and Elena had been supervising the filming crews recently and understood the situation well.

Elena spoke up, "We have two people who have been following Tiger Woods for over a year, capturing a lot of news in the process. Some were sold to newspapers, but others were kept. Among the reserved ones, there is an important detail to note: before every professional competition, Woods would hold a lavish party. You know how those parties go."

Lareya added, "Woods currently lives in Montecito, north of Los Angeles. He goes to the country club daily to prepare for the upcoming Buick Challenge, and based on past experiences, he is expected to hold a party soon."

Juan interjected, "Doesn't his wife Elin live in Montecito? How can he still be messing around?"

Elena shrugged, "In reality, Woods's training timings are inconsistent. Sometimes he leaves early to sneak off to a nearby hotel to meet up with his mistress, Holly Sampson."

Campos asked, "Is Holly Sampson organizing Woods's parties in Los Angeles?"

"No, she doesn't know about it." Elena detailed, "The person organizing parties for Woods in Los Angeles is named Joslyn James, a star actress from the Valley, who is also a madam in the Los Angeles area. She's one of Woods's mistresses and often gathers a bunch of models and actresses for him during his competitions in Los Angeles."

Campos suddenly recalled a contact from Hawke's past -- someone who had become a Hollywood star after being a high-end escort.

He let everyone continue discussing while he stepped out of the meeting room to call Edward and inquire about the relevant details.

...

Edward immediately reached out to Jacqueline. Although Jacqueline had stepped away from the industry for a while, her best friend, Reni -- whose daughter had a congenital illness -- was still in the trade.

Reni had the looks and no other skills; with her daughter's long hospital stays, every month was a considerable expense, and a standard job wouldn't earn her enough.

She was still in that line of work.

"There are rumors going around the circles about a high-end party hosted by a generous African American, and I'm planning to attend," Reni told Jacqueline, providing detailed insight into the situation. "My agent referred me; since you left, I've been her best pick."

Jacqueline asked, "Do you know where the organizer is from?"

Reni thought for a moment, "I think I heard the agent mention that the organizer is from the Valley. Most agents or stars from the Valley dabble in such work, especially since that SugarBaby site opened up. It has made things easier for Valley stars."

Jacqueline replied, "Got it; send my regards to Lina. I'll visit her in the hospital after this film wraps up."

Reni laughed, "Lina really misses you; she keeps asking for your signed photo."

The success of Nightcrawler also gave Jacqueline some fame as a supporting actress, and she walked the red carpet at the Oscars.

Her past experiences were inevitably dug up by gossip media.

But like the lead actress in Starship Troopers, Denise Richards, the high-end escort past, under careful marketing, became a real-life American Dream.

Especially as Tom Cruise publicly praised Jacqueline several times, thanks to Hawke, she garnered much public support.

Jacqueline fed the original information back to Edward, who relayed it to Campos.

...

To facilitate communication, Edward promptly gathered the two of them into a group chat on Twitter.

Campos got the situation clear and returned to the conference room, where everyone looked toward him as he said, "I talked to the informant and can basically confirm that the party will be held three days before the competition."

He already had a plan: "This informant is a high-end escort who received an invitation from the agent and might participate in the gathering, but we can't guarantee that right now."

Juan added, "If she attends, we can cross-reference the information and gather the party's location in advance to set up some special equipment."

They were quite familiar with this kind of work; they had dealt with Kobe Bryant and the Catholic Church in suburban Los Angeles before.

Campos considered the newsworthiness and said, "Just having these isn't much different from the previous Kobe Eagle County incident or the Madrid Beckham affair. Given these two prior incidents, the newsworthiness would be diminished."

Elena reminded him, "Woods has always built his public image as a good man and a good husband, but in reality, he has multiple steady mistresses. The media could continuously expose this."

Juan thought of a plan, "Let's try to notify Woods's wife Elin to catch him red-handed on-site; that would definitely draw attention."

Campos inquired, "Does Elin know about these things with Woods?"

Lareya judged, "Based on our daily observations, Elin likely doesn't know."

Elena added, "Elin has focused on women's rights since moving to North America and has donated to two women's rights organizations in Los Angeles."

Campos sat back in his chair, integrating Hawke's past methods, and thought in line with Hawke's style.

He quickly came up with a suggestion, "Fiona has some sway in the FMF. Can we involve them to encourage Elin to catch him cheating and then get the divorce? This way, we can keep the news heating up and continually boost Twitter's traffic."

Juan agreed, "That sounds feasible. Those women's rights folks can stir up trouble without any wind. Elin has the upper hand, so they'll definitely torment the guy unmercifully."

Campos had another concern, "Woods isn't gay, is he?"

Currently, feminists and the LGBTQ+ community were bitter enemies, having clashed repeatedly and suffered major defeats.

"No," Lareya, a man, assured, "We can confirm that easily."

Campos felt relieved, "Then there's no problem. So, the plan is: figure out the party's location, persuade the informant to assist us, and somehow get Elin to catch him cheating, capturing as much as possible. Then... Juan, contact Fiona and prep her for some necessary preparations."

Elena reminded, "What's the situation with the informant?"

Campos checked his phone for the three-person chat and said, "I'll talk to the informant to finalize everything soon."
