The Young master's fake bride and her lucky system-Chapter 275: If I go, you go.
He didn’t know why she was hugging him but he didn’t push her away. Rather, he pulled her deeper into his arms as he patted her back lightly.
His immediate assumption was that she was happy to meet the psychologist. In his mind, Caishen congratulated himself on a job well done.
He was still congratulating himself when he heard her say something.
"You are such a dummy...a fool."
His hand went still and she retracted herself from his embrace. Looking into his lost eyes, she raised a hand and pinched his cheek softly.
"Hey, do you know how much you scared me for a minute there? You don’t tell somebody that you need to talk with such a serious face and in such a grave voice unless its bad news. One cant help imagining the worst possible scenarios otherwise."
"But this is a serious matter, I couldn’t very well introduce it with a smile on my face. Not many people want to hear that you think they should see a doctor for mental health related issues. One can easily perceive it as an accusation that something is wrong with them. That you are calling them crazy." Slowly and calmly, he explained himself.
She thought about it for a few seconds and nodded. She could easily have reacted in a manner completely opposite to this. But, he had told her why he thought she needed the psychologist. That’s why she was calm maybe or because it came off more like a caring gesture from a loved one that was worried after he explained a little. But, what had driven him to make this decision, she wondered.
"You have given me your reasons already for why you want me to see one, my childhood. What made you think I need to speak to a psychologist specifically?"
At no point in her life so far did she ever think that she would need to see one.
He looked down, avoiding her gaze. Then he said, "Sometimes when I hold you to sleep, you wake up in a full blown panic and shove me away. I don’t know what that’s about but I can tell that something is off.
And then, there is the anger you have towards your family. Justified anger but still anger which I think is unhealthy and you need to purge it from your system. Not even revenge will take away the pain they caused you.
Along with the anger are other emotions like self blame for your father not loving you and many things you don’t tell me about but I know you are carrying around.
Last is the piano...."
"Oooh." Alix said slowly and she twisted her mouth with her brows raised. His mention of the piano struck a chord within her mind.
"What?" He was a bit confused. That oooh which she had just made was the sound of someone that had one to a realization.
"What did Holea tell you?"
This time around, she was the one with the serious expression on her face.
His eyes widened, he tensed up and he turned his face away from her. His mind raced at the speed of a race car driver on a track in a competition as he analyzed all that he had said and what made her jump to the conclusion that her friend had said something.
"Relax, you are not in trouble but don’t even bother lying, the piano gave you away. The only person that has ever thought that I have issues with the piano is Holea. We had a fight once when she said...., never mind what she said. Anyway, I would rather not make a big deal out of this.
I will see your psychologist because it’s a thoughtful gesture and hey, who knows maybe it will do wonders for me." She shrugged.
Maybe it could help her work out her fear of suffocation or was it being buried alive. Either way, if she was shoving her husband away in bed, she needed help before things escalated and she ended up unintentionally breaking another part of his body.
"Couple’s therapy could help your relationship develop much quicker in a positive direction." The system suggested.
A little smirk formed on her face and then she smiled. "But, if I have to see one then you should do the same. I am not the only one in this marriage with issues. I have mine, you have yours.
I think it will be good for both of us to work out the things in our past."
"My past is okay." He blurted out. frёewebηovel.cѳm
"Your dead father came back alive, you have a step...a Na Na and a brother that may or may not have tried to kill you.
I hate to be the one to say this hubby but you need a place to vent and it can’t always be work, friends and wine.
I don’t want you to hit the bottle as constantly as your friend Rongyan. I have heard all about him from Zhang An."
"He doesn’t drink anymore." Caishen mumbled.
"Because he is seeing a psychologist and he joined AA." She told him.
Caishen was a bit perturbed. The information concerning Rongyan’s newly found sobriety and AA meetings was supposed to be private. Only his closest friends and family knew about it. From what his wife was sharing, she had heard this Information from Zhang An.
Where did Zhang An get it from? It wasn’t him, so who in his group of friends was chatting about personal matters with his sister?
He tapped the space next him, inviting Alix to sit over. When she did, he poured her a glass of wine and handed it to her with a smile on his face.
She smiled too and happily took a sip of the red wine.
A satisfied look came over his face as he presumed that the wine would loosen her up and get her talking.
"So, what else has my sister been telling you?"
"That your third brother has been visiting the elders regularly."
Alix did not hold back from sharing as she got a slice of pizza and took a large bite.
He got a slice of pizza but unlike her big bite, he took a small one and chewed slowly. Before he took a bite, he had a frown on his face.
Alix turned to him like an excited puppy with a wagging tail. "How is it? It’s amazing, right?"
He sort of shrugged and tilted his head to the right with a frown which showed he was not impressed.
Her face fell in disappointment. It had been her hope that the pizza would stimulate his appetite. The pizza had not worked the same wonders as aunt Sen’s place however.
"I have a plan B, luckily." She jumped up and run off to the kitchen then returned with a green bowl and oven mittens. "I prepared this as back up in case the pizza didn’t work out."
She set the bowl down in front of him and opened it with a big smile on her face.
"Tada, brown rice risotto with mushrooms."
She took off the mittens and handed him a fork. "This one will please your tongue for sure. If it doesn’t then I will stop making food recommendations for you."
