Trapped In A Novel As The Breeding Mate For Four Powerful Alphas-Chapter 32: Can’t sleep?
Chapter 32 - Can't sleep?
I was able to get through that dinner without having indigestion and expected that both Ki-hoon and Min-Cheol would leave but they did not.
There were over 7 bedrooms in the mansion and yet... Those two decided that they would like to use mine.
Like literally, what happened to their own rooms? It wasn't as if they planned to have sex with me or anything, they just wanted to inconvenience me in my small space.
Ki-hoon started it. He said it was late and he didn't need to go on a one-hour drive back to his own house, so he was staying in the mansion.
'Fine, you can stay. What do I care?' that was my thought while politely saying, "Of course, ma- Hyung, you can stay."

But then, I had no idea he was going to be staying in my room. I watched him through the corner of my eyes as he followed me towards my room.
I thought that it was simply the direction of his room, but as I stopped in front of my door, he stopped as well.
Slowly, I turned my head and looked at me, waiting for me to go in.
"Um, Hyung, what are you doing?" I asked, feeling sweat roll down my neck already.
"I'm going to your room," he said and I nodded.
"I see, but... Why?" I asked but then frantically waved my hand. "It's not like I'm trying to keep you out of it. I'm definitely not doing that," that was exactly what I was doing. "But I thought you would spend the night in your own room. I mean, you have your own room you accommodate here, am I right?"
Ki-hoon went silent. I think I saw him twist his lips a bit as he darted his eyes away and then back to me.
"Since you suffered a fever the whole day, I think it'll be best if someone going to stay by your side." He said and I smiled while inwardly screaming why he had to be such a busybody.
Unfortunately for me, Min-Cheol overhead it and came forward,
"I'm going to be spending the night with Hyung too," he said, looking excited but Ki-hoon growled at him.
"Wait your turn." He said.
"What do you mean by that? It's not like you're planning to do 'that' with a sick person, are you?" Min-Cheol asked.
"Of course not,"
"Then why do I need to wait. Since nothing is going on, I think this would be perfect," he said, clasping his hands together.
I have a feeling he was just trying to screw Ki-hoon up and not let him have a single 'bonding' time with me.
"Hah," Whatever, so long they didn't try to pull any stunt while we were in bed. "The bed is big enough for all three of us so I think it should be fine," I said, acting as a mediator to break the ice. "So, shall we get to bed?"
I think it was because I slept almost the entire day and that was why I couldn't fall asleep easily.
Well, it was either that or thanks to the two who were each lying by my side.
It didn't feel so bad. In fact, after having Ki-hoon stay by my side while I slept in the afternoon, I've come to like having company in bed.
I was always alone, you see. The only time I remember sleeping in bed with someone else was during my military service. I had to share a bed with one other recruit for a few days because of an accident that occurred in the accommodation room.
It felt rather uncomfortable because the bed was small but that was not the only reason. I wasn't comfortable with sharing my body heat with someone else, not to mention sharing someone else's body heat. It was simply disturbing.
But right at that moment, in between Ki-hoon and Min-Cheol, I did not feel uncomfortable in the slightest. It was warm and rather comforting.
Have I been lonely for too long? I don't know cause I've always been lonely.
"Can't sleep?" I heard Ki-hoon's voice and raised my gaze to meet his.
"No," I answered and my eyes fell on his gloved hand. Even when going to sleep, he did not take off his glove.
"Do you want me to read to you then?" He asked and I nearly laughed.
What was I? A child?
He picked up the book I had been reading, the same book he also started reading.
"If you read me that, I don't think I'll fall asleep." I said.
"Are you sure?" He asked. "You might just get lost in it and fall asleep."
"Ah, maybe." I wanted to turn around but I noticed Min-Cheol was holding on to my arm. If I tried to take it out of his hold, he would definitely wake up.
I was surprised he was sleeping so comfortably and peacefully, though. I expected him to have a spat with Ki-hoon or be a little more alert since he was lying next to someone he just met a day ago.
He was such a mystery that even I was starting to wonder.
"Do you know where I stopped?" I asked and he nodded.
The book was a revised version of 'Pride and Prejudice'. Since this was a different world, I wanted to know if there were differences, and sure enough, there were.
The world was made into an Omegaverse as well so it was quite intriguing seeing some of the supposed female characters as male Omegas or female Omegas.
"Without thinking highly, either of Alphas or of matrimony, marriage had always been an object; it was the honorable provision for well-educated Omegas of small fortune." Ki-hoon read and then paused.
In that context, 'men' were changed to Alphas, and 'women' was changed to Omegas.
But why did Ki-hoon stop? I looked up and found him staring at me.
"Jo-Pil," he called.
"Yes, ma- Hyung?" Gosh, the habit of calling him master was just too hard to discard.
"What do you think about marriage?"
Huh?
