" I am a huge fan, sir, of your work," Lukas said, then grabbed a bottle of water from the nearby person who was distributing it.

" Well, thank you for your promo, here is what I promised your chairman." Vince then pulled out his checkbook and wrote a check and gave it to Lukas.

Lukas took the check and saw it was a $30,000 check, and it was also a bearer check, so Lukas was happy to see unexpected rewards.

" This thing cost me 2 million dollars, so you better work hard as a heel." Vince then patted on Triple H’s shoulders.

[Clarification for those who don’t know about WWE: a heel is basically a villain, and a babyface/face is a good guy in the wrestling world.]

Vince was a huge businessman when he saw the viewership getting almost 9 million, he went for this directly, bought the Louisville Slugger ad slots, and also overpaid the marketing team to do the stunt.

Triple H nodded his head. Although Vince was very stingy with his money, he has never failed to invest in a good opportunity in his business.

Lukas folded the check and put it in his pocket, then saw the chairman of the Phillies entering the room. He nodded at Lukas happily, then gestured for Vince to go to the side because he wanted to talk with him.

Lukas then drank the water. He was not that tired, but Triple H was standing in front of him. He was not sure if he should start a conversation with this man.

" I mean, don’t take checks like that. Talk with your manager. He’ll tell you." Triple H said this, and then Lukas saw Vince and Triple H leaving the hall together.

Lukas pulled out his $30,000 check and showed it to Henry happily. Henry, looking at the check, snatched it from Lukas’s hand, and after staring at it for several minutes, he looked at Lukas.

"Did someone hand it to you?" Henry asked while returning the check.

" Yes, Mr. McMahon, is there something wrong?" Lukas asked, he was really confused about what was happening.

" Sigh! You dumb kid, he paid you way less. Do you even know how much the total deal was"? Henry asked, while shaking hisd, and sat down beside Lukas.

" Two million?" Lukas asked, he was not sure if it was the right amount.

" Around that, the deal was two million dollars for the Phillies and paying whatever they could make you happy with, like if you had asked for five hundred thousand, they had to pay you that," Henry explained. He knew the situation was not in his favor because he was outside and Vince was too shrewd.

" Aahaha, he really is a cheapskate, that’s why Triple H said that." Lukas laughed it off, he was not greedy for money now. After what happened with him, he was just shocked a little, and if the situation arises again, he would still do the same without any money.
