Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 856: A Rarely Seen Match
Chapter 856: Chapter 856: A Rarely Seen Match
Wang Hongbin wasn’t a reckless brute. When he saw the two men collapse backward on the track, he immediately knew what was happening.
"Useless, all of you are useless," Wang Hongbin shouted furiously.
There were tens of thousands of spectators onsite, along with hundreds of media outlets covering the event live. If word of this got out, what face would Wang Hongbin have left to save in society?
"Big brother, don’t worry," He Guisheng said, his face drenched in cold sweat.
The two men were sent by him. While their skills weren’t the best, they were known for being ruthless and vicious.
He Guisheng’s plan was for the two of them to teach Su Yongzhen a harsh lesson on the track. Winning wasn’t their goal—crippling Su Yongzhen was the best possible outcome.
But instead of targeting Su Yongzhen, the two men went after someone else. And to make matters worse, this unfolded in front of a massive, scrutinizing audience, a blatant slap in Wang Hongbin’s face.
"Tell them to get the hell out of here, now!" Wang Hongbin shouted from his vantage point above.
He Guisheng, sweating profusely, tried to call the two drivers, but their phones were already turned off, leaving him unable to reach them.
Meanwhile, the two drivers had positioned themselves in front of Little Wang’s car.
Before Little Wang could comprehend what was happening, Su Yongzhen’s voice came through urgently.
"Little Wang, dodge them quickly! They’re trying to harm you," Su Yongzhen yelled in desperation.
Little Wang was bewildered. What was going on? He had no past grievances with these men, nor any recent conflicts. Why would they be after him?
Unable to make sense of it, Little Wang reacted instinctively when the two cars flanked him, approaching from both sides.
Little Wang wasn’t foolish; despite not understanding the circumstances, he instinctively reversed backward to avoid confrontation.
"Captain, what’s going on? Are they crazy?" Little Wang asked while reversing his car.
He referred to Su Yongzhen as "Captain." Seeing Little Wang evade the attack, Su Yongzhen finally relaxed a bit and responded, "They’re just here to cause trouble. Just focus on avoiding them; don’t get hurt."
Although Little Wang’s forward driving skills weren’t as good as the two opponents’, his reverse driving technique was exceptional. It wouldn’t be easy for them to catch up to him.
Being more familiar with the track, Little Wang skillfully maneuvered in reverse. Once he gained some distance from them, he swiftly turned his car around and accelerated forward to escape.
The two opponents, frustrated and humiliated, also turned their cars around and gave chase. What unfolded on the track was an unprecedented sight—midway through the race, three cars were driving backward.
The surrounding spectators stared in disbelief, and the hundreds of media personnel onsite were equally stunned. They all wondered whether their eyes were deceiving them. At this moment, everyone’s attention was focused on the three cars; Su Yongzhen was completely overlooked.
Su Yongzhen reached the finish line first. However, no one cheered for him, and there were no exclamations of excitement.
Su Yongzhen parked his car to the side and quickly called Xiang Yu.
"Brother Yu, what should I do?" Su Yongzhen asked anxiously.
Normally, Little Wang’s skills wouldn’t match those of the two opponents. Now, with panic settling in, he was even less of a match.
Meanwhile, the two opponents seemed to have lost their minds, relentlessly chasing after him as though they’d forgotten they were in a racecourse, driven solely by their desire to eliminate him.
"Don’t worry," Xiang Yu said calmly while keeping an eye on the situation. He had already sent Tie Zhuzi down to handle the matter.
Little Wang noticed the two pursuers gaining on him and began to panic.
"Captain, what do I do? They’re almost catching up!" Little Wang said nervously.
"Don’t be afraid, just keep driving forward," Su Yongzhen reassured him, not knowing what Xiang Yu had arranged but trying his best to console him.
Under immense tension, Little Wang drove as fast as he could, narrowly avoiding several accidents where he almost veered off the track.
The two opponents behind him had closed the gap significantly yet still didn’t make any aggressive move to attack, as if they were toying with him.
Sweat was streaming down Little Wang’s face. At these speeds, a rollover could mean catastrophic injury—likely fatal or leaving him gravely disabled.
All three drivers sped along the track, eventually returning to the starting point. But Little Wang couldn’t stop; stopping now would mean the end of him.
He drove onward, passing the starting line, when suddenly a large fire truck pulled out from the departure zone.
The fire truck narrowly avoided hitting the rear of Little Wang’s car, but the two cars behind him weren’t so fortunate.
When the pair saw the fire truck, it was already too late. The vehicle was directly in front of them.
They didn’t even have time to scream before crashing into the fire truck’s side. The massive fire truck flipped over in the collision, skidding across the track with a deafening screech.
Sparks flew everywhere as the truck dragged along, eventually plowing toward the audience stands.
Thankfully, the audience stands were elevated, ensuring no one was endangered.
The fire truck crashed into the spectator platform with a plume of black smoke rising from it. The two pursuing vehicles were reduced to unrecognizable shapes.
If someone unfamiliar with the situation were to see them, they’d never guess these mangled pieces were once cars.
As for the drivers inside—forget about questioning whether they survived—the real question was whether they’d been crushed flat.
Though race cars are equipped with safety belts and airbags, when the vehicles are smashed into pulp, safety measures become meaningless.
While the crowd was still stunned and unsure of what to do, the two cars suddenly exploded, sending flames high into the air.
The dual explosions from the cars triggered the fire truck to explode as well. Water began spilling out from the fire truck.
The flames caused by the blasts were instantly extinguished, leaving no smoke behind—only a mist of steam that gave the scene a surreal, dream-like effect.
"Big brother, quickly, detonate the bomb now!" He Guisheng, standing at the top of the spectator area, snapped back to his senses and urged Wang Hongbin.
Wang Hongbin, still shocked by the recent events, froze with the remote detonator in hand, unsure of what to do.
Prompted by He Guisheng’s reminder, Wang Hongbin finally regained some composure and asked, "Which button do I press?"
The sheer shock had left Wang Hongbin’s mind a blank slate.
Watching Wang Hongbin’s dazed reaction, He Guisheng despised the man even more.
Before taking his current position, he had always considered Wang Hongbin to be a big shot, a lofty and unreachable figure. He had never imagined he’d be working under someone like him.
But now he realized Wang Hongbin was nothing more than ****** a ****, and it annoyed him endlessly to be stuck under such a person’s leadership. ƒгeewebnovёl.com
"Those buttons right there," He Guisheng prompted Wang Hongbin.
Wang Hongbin, despite his usual appearance of refined composure, was an utter mess in critical moments.
Realizing how embarrassing his behavior had been, Wang Hongbin steadied himself, nodded, and said, "Of course, I know which buttons to press."
