Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 916 Xiang Yu with Serious Injuries
Chapter 916: Chapter 916 Xiang Yu with Serious Injuries
Since the fight had already erupted, there was no intention of holding back. Xiang Yu gripped his long blade and fought his way through, cutting down one enemy after another.
In the past, Xiang Yu had never used this type of blade before, and holding it still felt somewhat awkward in his hand. But with his solid foundation, even if the weapon wasn’t to his liking, he was still incredibly formidable.
Xiang Yu cut down five men in quick succession, his body now soaked in blood, giving onlookers a horrifying and chilling impression.
As he wielded the blade, it felt increasingly natural in his grip.
Those around him couldn’t help but shiver at the sight of him. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
Amid the chaotic melee, no one noticed Zhang Dongxu. Zhang was trapped in a spiral of guilt, convincing himself that he was the one who had harmed Xiang Yu. If it weren’t for him, Xiang Yu wouldn’t have come here or fallen into this ambush.
Holding his blade, Zhang Dongxu slowly raised it to his neck. If he were to die here, wouldn’t that save Xiang Yu and all the brothers?
"Zhang Dongxu, what the hell are you doing?" Xiang Yu kicked an opponent flying and suddenly shouted.
Zhang Dongxu froze as if struck by lightning, his entire body trembling. His vacant gaze sparked back to life.
He looked down at the blade in his hand and broke out in a cold sweat.
"Brother Yu, I..." Zhang Dongxu stammered with guilt.
"Enough with the ’you-you, me-me!’ Hurry up and help me out!" Xiang Yu bellowed.
Zhang Dongxu looked at the blade in his hand, then glanced at the crowd of over a hundred people surrounding them. Suddenly, courage surged within him, and with a loud shout, he charged forward.
Back in the day, Zhang Dongxu had made quite a name for himself. But now, he had gained weight, and his reflexes weren’t what they used to be.
"I’ll fight all of you, you bunch of ****!" Zhang Dongxu sprinted so quickly that he couldn’t stop in time and collided head-on with one opponent. The man was knocked to the ground and couldn’t get back up.
He exchanged a glance with Xiang Yu and murmured awkwardly, "Starting tomorrow, I’m going on a diet."
Xiang Yu only chuckled before charging ahead. His blade turned into streaks of crimson light, slicing into the enemies around him.
Though his opponents were strong, no amount of muscle could withstand the edge of a blade.
Xiang Yu had taken two hits himself by now, blood pouring from his wounds. Out of the twenty men in the Tianlong Squad, ten now lay on the ground.
Fortunately, none of them were fatally wounded—they were just injured.
"You guys okay, brothers?" Xiang Yu asked with a sinister grin, his bloodshot eyes gleaming.
"Don’t worry, boss, we’re fine!" one of his men responded, grinning grimly.
Xiang Yu was a madman, and the brothers he led were all madmen, too.
Zhang Dongxu had taken two hits on his back and suffered injuries to his leg. Limping and gritting his teeth, he’d put everything on the line today—even if it meant death. He only felt sorry for the little nurse waiting for him back at home.
"Xiang Yu, surrender now. If you give up, I promise I’ll spare your life," Zhuge Xiaoming shouted from the second floor.
Leaning casually against a railing, Zhuge Xiaoming watched the scene unfold like he was enjoying a spectacle. Although Xiang Yu’s initial ferocity had surprised him, everything was now under control—including Xiang Yu and his comrades’ fates.
With just a word, Xiang Yu’s life could be ended. Just as Zhuge was basking in his triumph, his phone rang—it was Lin Chong calling.
"How’s the progress? Everything proceeding smoothly?" Lin Chong asked directly.
Originally, Lin Chong had planned to come personally, but following Zhuge Xiaoming’s counsel, he decided against it.
Earlier, Zhuge Xiaoming had investigated Xiang Yu and deemed him a formidable figure, advising caution in all matters.
But after actually encountering Xiang Yu, Zhuge realized the rumors were exaggerated. Xiang Yu was nothing more than a reckless hothead, barging in without understanding the situation and dragging his brothers to their doom.
"Everything’s going smoothly. We’re nearly at the final stage—it’s time to capture them," Zhuge Xiaoming replied.
"Good. That’s military precision for you," Lin Chong chuckled before continuing, "I’ll head over now. I want to see what Xiang Yu intends to do."
The prospect of Xiang Yu’s imminent downfall filled Lin Chong with a thrill he couldn’t suppress.
"Boss, although they’re almost subdued, Xiang Yu is extraordinarily stubborn. He’s still holding out," Zhuge Xiaoming added.
By now, Xiang Yu’s entire body was drenched in blood—his own as well as his enemies’. He looked like a creature born out of slaughter.
Behind him stood several others equally bloodied, mirroring Xiang Yu’s ferocity.
The Tianlong Squad members were gravely wounded, but they refused to retreat. As long as they could stand, they would rise again.
Meanwhile, not far away, several vehicles were parked. Wu Jing and Xiao Xuan stood by the cars, gazing toward the distant battle.
"Something feels off. Should I charge in with some men?" Xiao Xuan asked nervously.
Though Wu Jing was anxious himself, he held Xiao Xuan back.
"If Brother Yu hasn’t given us a signal, it means he’s still capable of handling the situation," Wu Jing replied firmly, his gaze resolute.
"But what if things go south?" Xiao Xuan asked, his voice laced with worry.
"Relax. Brother Yu knows what he’s doing," Wu Jing reassured him, though his pounding heart betrayed his own jitters.
They weren’t far from Xiang Yu’s group, and the sounds of the carnage reached them even here.
Wu Jing and Xiang Yu had planned that Xiang Yu would signal them when the time was right. But the battle had dragged on, and Xiang Yu’s signal had yet to arrive.
Zhuge Xiaoming remained atop the second floor, calmly observing the scene. While Xiang Yu’s combat prowess was impressive, he was overwhelmed by sheer numbers. For every opponent he defeated, ten more rushed forward.
The battle raged on. Most of the Tianlong Squad members now lay on the ground.
Only Xiang Yu and one other fighter still stood, while the ground was littered with the bodies of their fallen foes.
The Tianlong Squad’s combat strength could not be denied—they’d taken out at least half of their enemies.
Propping himself up with his blade, Xiang Yu raised his head to glare at Zhuge Xiaoming on the second floor and sneered, "So, your boss is nothing but this kind of trash?"
Xiang Yu’s laughter boomed, filled with disdain, his gaze cold and predatory.
Incensed by Xiang Yu’s words, Zhuge Xiaoming shouted back, "Didn’t you want to meet our boss? You’ll see him soon enough. Just don’t piss yourself when you do."
Though Zhuge Xiaoming was Lin Chong’s subordinate, he operated with considerable freedom.
Within Wolf Eye’s ranks, Zhuge Xiaoming was essentially the unofficial second-in-command.
With a bitter smile, Xiang Yu used his blade to push himself upright. His gaze swept over his fallen brothers, and his heart wrenched with pain.
Not far away lay Zhang Dongxu, his face smeared with blood though his body seemed unharmed.
Earlier, when Zhang Dongxu realized he couldn’t match the enemy, he had seized the chance to play dead.
Seeing Xiang Yu struggling to stand, propping himself up with his blade, guilt swelled within Zhang Dongxu.
There were still around forty opponents remaining nearby. If they all attacked Xiang Yu together, he would be overwhelmed in an instant.
"Where’s Lin Chong? Get him out here. What, is he afraid of facing me now?" Xiang Yu bellowed with a roar of laughter...
