The next thing I had to do now was evolve a Skill.

Could it be any Skill or did I had to choose a specific one?

I asked this to Oten.

"It can be absolutely any skill no matter their level or type of skill," she explained. "Yes, even your strongest or weirdest skills can evolve even further. This is only a one-time reward as well, so you can only choose and evolve a single skill. You have many after all, so this might not be too easy for you."

"It indeed isn't…" I sighed. "Wait a minute, I just have to see everything I have for a moment."

I quickly opened my Status through the Grimoire and looked at the entire thing.

Surprisingly, aside from a few new additions, it hasn't changed since I entered the Trial that much.

Well, the changes will happen once I step out and choose new Talents to Rank Up to.

All of this will change once I'm done with all of it, so I might see it again by then.

But for now, which Skill?

Among these skills, there's… just too many.

But which one is the most important?

Which one is the one I use the most and that decides every battle?

That's hard to say because I use a variety of Skills all the time.

But which one would help me right now even more, and perhaps in the future as well?

Transformation skills?

The spear skill?

Perhaps a powerful title skill?

My dragon heart or other dragon-related skills?

Perhaps one of my many Magic Skills?

Or… a Summoner Skill?

I had already evolved the basic Summoning Skill into a "Divine Skill" so I don't know if I should count that one into the considered skills.

But what else could I choose?

Perhaps…

"Hmmm…"

I was left thinking for a short while, until I realized that the best ones could be.

Abyssal Vampiric Undead Creation.

Umbral Crimson Arts.

And…

Divine Dragon Heart.

These three all are almost equally valuable and the strongest Skills that have changed the tide of battle since I obtained them.

Abyssal Vampiric Undead Creation, if evolved, could unleash even more of its terrifying powers, and it might create even stronger Undead Familiars to destroy everything on my path even more.

Umbral Crimson Arts is the pillar of my fighting techniques right now, alongside movement, and even magic itself, an evolved version could expand into that and go even further beyond.

And lastly, my Dragon Heart, or well, the Divine Dragon Heart.

I have no idea what else could it become beyond Divine Dragon Hearts.

After all, that's the upper limit, right? There were Dragons and Divine Dragons, nothing above them.

So what would I obtain from this? What would be beyond a Divine Dragon that didn't exist in this world?

A powerful heart that went beyond this world's rules and anything established.

Yeah, I am quite torn between all three…

Dammit.

Personal strength?

Stronger army?

More versatility for everything?

My current predicament could be resumed like this.

But with the new Virtual Familiar Summon Skill, and with the many new Summoner Skills I might get next…

Shouldn't I prioritize personal strength? After all, whatever I rank Up later will help me out at the end in the army-building part of my strength.

"Very well… A rare skill to choose, but I can understand why you did it. Upgrading it would also enhance your power and physical and magical strength greatly. Good choice."

"Of course, I wouldn't have accepted if that wasn't the case. Now relax, it might hurt a little, because you're about to step beyond this world's dragons, and reach the levels that dragons can only reach in the cosmos beyond."

And before I could say another word, an explosion of blinding divine light erupted from my heart.

As I felt my Divine Dragon explode and burn.

And I was engulfed by its flames.
