The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend
Chapter 846 - World Rank Divine Weapon
The valedictorian speeches passed without much incident. Next came the customary segment where graduating fourth-year students gave back to the college by donating to the younger students.
This year’s graduating students donated a pitiful amount. The donation list was so sparse that even Han Wu couldn’t bear to look at it.
The reason for this was the Saintess Club. Wei En and her members had squeezed the male students of the same year dry, leaving them nothing to offer.
While scraps were better than nothing, Han Wu couldn’t bring himself to compete with the juniors over them. Xia Tian and the others also skipped the charity event, choosing to organize expeditions to foreign civilizations for their classmates to secure resources instead.
Without big players like Han Wu and Xia Tian grabbing things up, the charity event was at least somewhat worthwhile for the first and second years.
Back in his divine realm, Han Wu continued working to increase his strength. He took out Peerless, the Divine Weapon he had obtained during the divine war. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂
This Divine Weapon also contained the Peerless Armament Spirit, which could subtly cause other Divine Weapons in its presence to develop Armament Spirits of their own, raising their potential.
Peerless had nine empty slots where nine evil eyes once lay. After the Butcher’s defeat, the Nine-Eyed Evil God withdrew its power, leaving the slots vacant. These slots weren’t useless, though. They could be fitted with treasures to enhance Peerless.
Han Wu was pondering possibilities when V proposed embedding the other nine Divine Weapons from the Divine Weapon Atlas into the slots.
Using Merge, Han Wu could then fuse all nine Divine Weapons with Peerless to create a truly unparalleled Divine Weapon! V was the soul of the ancient king, and Han Wu valued his advice, so he decided to try it.
After inserting the Small Locust Blade into the first slot, Peerless transformed. Its quality improved, its Armament Spirit grew stronger, and it awakened a powerful new technique called Stellar Rain Slash.
Han Wu found an open plain to test it. Given the destructive potential, he only used a tenth of his full power, but even then, the results were staggering.
Stellar Rain Slash condensed tens of millions of energy blades around Han Wu. When he swung, the blades surged forward like a river and riddled the ground with holes. Han Wu could only imagine its full power—hundreds of millions of energy blades unleashed at once.
Given their individual destructive force, even a Microcosm would probably be ground to dust. Peerless truly lived up to its name!
Han Wu continued fusing his remaining Divine Weapons into the empty slots. Soon, the final weapon, the Locust Dragon Seal, was merged in. Peerless rapidly grew, breaking through the boundaries of a standard Divine Weapon and entering an entirely new tier.
V informed Han Wu that Peerless had become a World rank Divine Weapon!
At that moment, a new Microcosm formed in Han Wu’s consciousness. It was the Divine Weapon Microcosm.
Han Wu’s Divine Weapon Atlas flew into the Divine Weapon Microcosm as a beam of light, transforming the space into a blessed land. Any Divine Weapon placed within the Divine Weapon Microcosm would develop an Armament Spirit over time. The longer it stayed, the stronger the spirit would become.
Shortly after, Han Wu received a message from Hammie, the chief of the Scorching Dwarf tribe, requesting to relocate his entire tribe into the Divine Weapon Microcosm. This was because their success rate and quality of forging would improve dramatically with the Microcosm’s assistance.
Blacksmiths from other races, such as the minotaurs and humans, expressed the same interest in living there as well.
Han Wu wasn’t about to dampen their enthusiasm, so he immediately ordered the construction of teleportation arrays that allowed any units to enter the new Divine Weapon Microcosm with ease.
They were welcome to settle permanently or stay temporarily. Han Wu would also build dedicated forging facilities within the Microcosm and deliver large quantities of mineral resources to support their work.
His actions increased the faith of his units towards him and produced a new wave of Zealots. Hammie himself broke past that to become Han Wu’s Saint.
The number of one’s Saints was a key measure of their success. Naturally, Han Wu was delighted to gain a new Saint and immediately used Life Infusion on Hammie to push him to become a World life form.
The Scorching Dwarf tribe erupted with excitement. They were one of Han Wu’s earliest units, and had finally produced a World life form. After breaking through, Hammie’s faith in Han Wu was absolute. He swore to forge a World rank Divine Weapon comparable to Peerless in his lifetime to repay Han Wu’s investment.
Han Wu was delighted. Forcing a life form to become a World life form using just Divine Points consumed several times more resources than natural cultivation, but a World rank Saint generated a substantial amount of faith daily. Over time, the returns would far exceed the cost.
At the same time, construction in the Soul Microcosm was nearing completion and would be done in another twenty days or so. Once finished, the Soul Microcosm would serve as Han Wu’s dedicated soul storage facility. A steady supply of souls meant Han Wu’s units would explode in number, and his pool of talented units would multiply.
With these tasks out of the way, it was time for the Grand War Games once more.
Han Wu readied himself and headed to the War Faction. Before long, the other contestants arrived as well. Scanning the field, Han Wu noticed that two-thirds of them wore badges of the same style.
After a quick check, he learned that these badges were symbols of the War Families. The insignia on each badge indicated which specific family the wearer belonged to. While Han Wu was observing the others, they were observing him too. Han Wu could hear the War Family members whispering among themselves when he listened closely.
“That’s Han Wu, the one who forced the Butcher to kill himself. Whoever draws him is out of luck.”
“Damn it. Wear him down. Whoever faces him, throw every last unit at him. Drain everything he has.”
“Understood. I’ll teach him that the War Families are not to be trifled with.”
“If we don’t put him in his place, he’ll start to think that the Three Armies seat is easy pickings!”
Han Wu narrowed his eyes and smiled as he overheard the War Family members plotting against him.
Wear me down? Let’s see who outlasts whom.
