When Love Turns the Tables: The Mysterious Husband's Chase
Chapter 1035: All Lus Are Divine Assists (5)
"Also, the response to your long-form serial is pretty good. Sort out the outline. I remember you used to have Weibo, right? You had quite a lot of followers. Start using it again so I can negotiate the IP for you. There’s a film company very interested in this work of yours, wants to make it into an anime. Put some effort into it."
"Okay, got it."
The whole weekend, Su Weiyi was busy organizing everything related to her comic. As for the Weibo that Si Xia mentioned, Su Weiyi hadn’t logged in for a long time. She’d thought her followers had probably all dropped off, but after she fiddled around and finally logged in, she found that while she had lost some, the number was still impressive.
Her private messages had exploded, most of them asking her why she hadn’t updated, whether she’d abandoned the series.
Some of the ones who were really anxious had started saying nasty things. Su Weiyi didn’t care much about that. She just scrolled through those little comics she’d drawn before, and even she got absorbed in them.
They were all the sweetness she’d once shared with Sheng Yanxiao. In Su Weiyi’s memory, those things had happened a long, long time ago, yet now, looking at those little comics, she suddenly felt as if it had all happened just yesterday.
So... they really had been that good back then.
During that period, her happiness was practically off the charts.
Without realizing it, she’d been reading for a long time. Her eyes started to ache. She flopped down on the sofa, closed her eyes, and her mind involuntarily replayed the memories of Him taking her to see the aurora, of how He always liked to pin her against the door, on the sofa, kissing her with a forceful yet gentle touch.
And those beautiful nights when they shared a bed, under the quilt, just talking.
A salty wetness stung the corners of her eyes. Su Weiyi snapped her eyes open, grabbed her phone, and posted her first text-only Weibo: I’m back.

In another apartment, Sheng Yanxiao was sitting in a chair typing on his keyboard when his phone chimed. It was a notification from the only account he followed on Weibo.
He had registered this account three years ago and had only followed one person.
Sheng Yanxiao glanced at the screen, and his hands, which had been flying over the keys, suddenly stopped. 𝐟𝐫𝕖𝗲𝘄𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝕧𝐞𝚕.𝕔𝕠𝐦
His gaze stayed fixed on it for a long time. Just as he was about to pick up the phone and open it, it rang again. This time it was a call from Lu Yuewei.
"Hey, my flight is today. Aren’t you going to take me to the airport?"
Sheng Yanxiao replied with absolute calm, "No."
"Ungrateful much? After I went out of my way to help you over here."
That made Sheng Yanxiao frown. "What do you mean?"
"It has to do with your Weiwei. If you want to know, come over and be my driver."
With that, Lu Yuewei hung up without a shred of hesitation.
Frowning, Sheng Yanxiao stared at his phone. After a two-second pause, he grabbed the car keys beside him and headed out.
He lived quite close to Su Weiyi’s complex, so he arrived quickly. After he waited downstairs for twenty minutes, Lu Yuewei finally strolled out unhurriedly. She set her suitcase down by the trunk. "I can’t lift it. You put it in yourself."
Sheng Yanxiao efficiently loaded it into the trunk and got in the car. "What did you say to her?"
"Nothing much. If I hadn’t said that, would you have come be my driver?"
Sheng Yanxiao slammed the brake and brought the car to a stop, his gaze turning dark as he stared at Lu Yuewei.
Lu Yuewei shivered but showed not a hint of fear in her words. "What are you doing? Planning to kill the donkey after it’s done grinding your grain?"
Lips pressed tight, Sheng Yanxiao said nothing. Lu Yuewei waved a hand. "Fine, you win, I’ll talk. Actually I didn’t say much. I just told her that you can’t live without sleeping pills now, that you basically treat them like meals."
Deep furrows formed between Sheng Yanxiao’s brows. "What nonsense are you talking about?"
