A farm that breeds gods and demons-Chapter 36 - 34 Hunting Blood Monkey Dog
36: Chapter 34 Hunting Blood Monkey Dog
36 -34 Hunting Blood Monkey Dog
They didn’t say why the little girl was in the station, and Su Yu couldn’t guess either.
Of course, these matters were just trivial details in the grander scheme of things.
As Su Yu spoke, the policewoman’s expression changed several times.
Seeing this, Su Yu scoffed slightly and said, “Excuse us, take care of yourselves, we’re leaving,” then he walked out.
The policewoman watched his departing figure and just as he was about to leave, she couldn’t help but call out, “Wait…
wait a moment!”
Su Yu stopped, turned around, and flashed a smile.
It was so dazzling it left the policewoman slightly dazed.
That smile of Su Yu’s would remain etched in her memory forever.
Influenced by Su Yu, the policewoman finally let her guard down.
Zhang Zhongmou, Qin Jiagui, Ma Ziye, and others walked in.
Seeing other women in the group, the policewoman completely let go of her last bit of vigilance.
After introductions were made, they found out her name was Zhou Birong, a police officer at Jixian Police Station.
The little girl was Ding Shan, who got lost from her parents while playing and was brought to the station when Zhou Birong was preparing to send her home after confirming her address.
Suddenly, a muffled boom resounded, followed by the sky turning dark and their familiar surroundings suddenly vanishing.
Their police station appeared isolated in the middle of a terrifyingly dark forest.
What followed was pretty much as Su Yu had guessed.
The police station faced an attack from a swarm of Goblin Beasts.
Thankfully, these police officers were not defenseless civilians and, armed with their weapons, they were able to kill a good number of monsters.
But with the emergence of a Big Goblin beast and their ammunition swiftly running out, they finally succumbed to the monsters and fell apart.
Zhou Birong, seeing her comrades getting killed one by one, in her panic thought of the records room and carried Ding Shan into it during the chaos.
She locked the door tightly and with the help of that door, out of all the officers, only she and Ding Shan survived.
Su Yu took the initiative to mention Yu Guozhi and Sun Da.
As expected, Zhou Birong did recognize them, but she had no idea how they escaped.
The police station was quite expansive, so it was impossible for the Goblin Beasts to have enclosed it completely.
Su Yu reasoned, it wouldn’t be surprising if one or two people had managed to slip away.
When Zhou Birong heard Su Yu’s speculations about the current world, she couldn’t help but show a shocked and incredulous expression.
Meanwhile, Ding Shan, suddenly faced with so many people, was beginning to shake off her initial fear, and was asking Zhou Birong when they could go home.
Everyone looked at Ding Shan and silently sighed.
It was indeed easier to be a child who was oblivious to worries.
By the time they had figured all this out, it was already midnight.
They decided to rest safe and secure within the room instead of venturing out into the forest.
They also took turns keeping a watchful eye out just to be on the safe side.
Su Yu found a random spot and leaned against it.
Zhang Zhongmou lied down next to him and whispered, “Su Yu, what are you thinking about?
You seem deep in thought.”
Leaning against the wall and twirling his hair, Su Yu replied, “I’m thinking about how to become the hunter instead of the hunted.”
Zhang Zhongmou was stunned.
He asked, “What do you mean, Su Yu?
Aren’t you being a bit cryptic?”
Ma Ziye on the other side snorted and said, “The Big Smoker is really too dumb, Su Yu is obviously talking about the Blood Monkey Dog.”
Zhang Zhongmou finally snapped out of it, laughing awkwardly, “So, Instant Noodles, is it only you who can be so clever?
Does eating instant noodles make one intelligent?”
He used to call Ma Ziye “Instant Noodle Princess”, but now he simply referred to her as “Instant Noodles”, because of her love for eating instant noodles.
Ma Ziye was too lazy to respond to him, but she looked at Su Yu and asked, “So, have you thought of a good plan yet?
With the Blood Monkey Dog constantly lingering around, it’s too dangerous for us if it keeps launching surprise attacks.”
Su Yu pondered, then suddenly asked, “Why do you think the Blood Monkey Dog doesn’t want to engage us directly, and prefers to ambush us?”
Zhang Zhongmou laughed.
“I know the answer to that!
We outnumber them.”
“Right.” Su Yu suddenly stood up, “If I’m not wrong, the Blood Monkey Dog is probably watching us in secret.
If anyone strays from the group, do you think it will launch a surprise attack?”
Surprised, Ma Ziye asked, “Are you planning to…”
Su Yu nodded and replied seriously, “Everyone, be careful and stay together.
Don’t stray from the group, I’ll take a walk around.” He was prepared to risk himself, taking on the role of bait to lure out the Blood Monkey Dog.
Ma Ziye got up and said, “I’ll go with you.
My ‘Steel Web’ is probably the best weapon to deal with nimble creatures like that.”
Su Yu thought about it but shook his head.
Firstly, the Blood Monkey Dog might not appear if he went with somebody else.
Secondly, although “Steel Web” was useful, he noticed a flaw with it.
It required time to launch, by which the Blood Monkey Dog, with its speed, would have already launched an attack or escaped.
The “Steel Web” might not necessarily be able to capture it.
The most important factor was that while he was confident of being able to handle the Blood Monkey Dog, Ma Ziye might become a target instead, which would only bring more trouble.
After considering these factors, Su Yu decided it would be better to go alone, rejecting Ma Ziye’s offer.
“I’ll go alone.
There’s a higher chance the dog will appear.
Everyone else should stay here.”
Outside, it was pitch black, under such conditions, likely only Su Yu would dare venture out alone.
The other members of his group would not dare to go out alone, even if asked.
Zhang Zhongmou urged, “Return quickly.” He was worried about Su Yu.
By now, Su Yu had become their group’s backbone.
No one dared imagine what would happen if something went wrong with him.
Su Yu just smiled and replied, “I’m just taking a walk.
If it doesn’t show up, then so be it.”
Then, he walked out and closed the door behind him.
As soon as he stepped out, his senses heightened to their peak level.
It seemed like he was casually taking steps, but he was actually entirely alert.
The special power in his left hand constantly increased his various senses.
This Blood Monkey Dog either had to appear or not; if it decided to attack him, Su Yu was confident he could instantly pierce his “Rending Claw” into its body.
This Blood Monkey Dog’s existence was bringing them significant pressure and threats.
They had to eliminate this beast before it caused any more harm, or the consequences would be unimaginable.
Su Yu took one step at a time down the corridor, and soon exited the building.
Surprisingly, he didn’t encounter any obstacles.
He walked past the front door of the police station and saw a forest filled with the corpses of Goblin Beasts.
Su Yu stood in front of the horde of corpses, turned around leisurely, and prepared for an ambush, because he finally sensed the presence of the Blood Monkey Dog.
