Not only that, but these dangerous arrows started flying every few seconds. They couldn't quite tell where it came from, with stronger ones like Feller realizing that some of the arrows had a curve.

That was an advanced technique, so they knew the enemy archer wasn't weak!

"Where is it coming from?"

"Just guard yourselves well! It shouldn't kill you!"

"But then the bastards on the ground would attack me!"

And that was what the Alterrans did, indeed.

They naturally knew where it came from, but no one would exclaim and reveal their beautiful Elder's position!

Althea's equipment is of limited use now against these strong people. Her weapon was still strong and had higher potential, but the amount of damage she could pull against level 30 elementalists—with superior equipment—was limited. Even if she hit them directly, they'd get injured pn their exposed skin at most, but there could be no kills.

This was the same with those past level 20s. Although her equipment was superior, she had to use a lot of mana to be able to make shots that could actually cause damage to people with much higher levels than hers.

A lot of luck was involved in her battle with Belize back then. For instance, if he wasn't successfully poisoned or if Gochi and his special half-orc stats weren't there to help—she'd have unlikely killed Belize at all.

Now, many of the enemies were even stronger than Belize and some of whom might even have better equipment. How much could she do against them? Not to mention, with the sheer number of enemy elites, she'd be in danger if she were found out.

Anyway, the unexpected arrows definitely caused the enemies to second-guess their movements.

At their level, sentry damage was not only limited, but also not impossible to predict. They could, in fact, avoid the sentries' shots as long as they were paying attention.

However, if it were a strong archer whom they couldn't even see, that would be a different issue altogether.

Anyway, the Alterrans took advantage of the distractions and started upping their attacks.

Sean and Orz were the same. The two of them quickly launched attacks against Hunt, whom they slowly pushed towards Funch's fight when they realized Ansel's team was starting to struggle against him.

At this time, Funch was sending a barrage of mana attacks against the group mobbing him. It was embarrassing that he was pushed like this after a few minutes of fighting, but he could not care anymore after the damned battle beast bit his leg—taking a good part of his skin with it!

The surrounding air instantaneously condensed water, creating a small tsunami of water that emerged with him as the center, throwing back the mob that surrounded him.

The humans yelled in shock while the battle pet squeaked. Funch felt a high after overwhelming them despite sacrificing almost all his remaining mana.

Crack!

Elementalist had a special puncture damage to equipment and everyone felt a good portion of their equipment durability disappear because of this, many outright getting destroyed.

"HAHA!" Funch laughed, jumping with his weapon out. He decided to attack the battle pet that was shakily standing up at this time. "Begone, vile beast!" he yelled, prepared to attack it on the neck.

BAM!

Midway in his attack, a man's body pounced on him, causing him to lose balance.

"What—"

It was Hunt, who had a few wounds on his body and a livid expression on his face.

Ansel's eyes met with Orz, who nodded as they launched another fast-paced attack. Ansel had extra protection charms on him so he was relatively undamaged by the attack, and he quickly took advantage of this opening to hopefully get rid of Futch and hopefully a few others before they noticed Althea was there.

However, powerhouses were powerhouses for a reason. After receiving a bit of damage, the two recovered fast and stepped back, successfully defending against any more attacks.

However, Ansel, Orz, and Sean's movements did not pause, continuously sending coordinated attacks.

Among the guards, they had gone through various scenarios and they tended to know what their fellow guard needed by a few hand or head gestures.

At the same time, although Ansel was no guard, he was certainly 'thrown' in the barracks often enough that he could be considered as one so he knew of these signals.

Anyway, Orz created either barriers, posts, or spikes when they needed him to, and Sean created vines to hinder the enemy movements for long enough so they could cause damage.

It wouldn't take long for both Futch and Hunt to fall under this barrage of attacks, and by then, they'd get rid of most of the threats to the bunker!

Meanwhile, the fight between Jake's team against Feller was still ongoing, with walls lined with sharp spikes closing in on the latter.

Feller gritted his teeth and created an area of fire around him, aiming to push away the earth which was surprisingly sturdy. The spikes continued to enclose him, appearing unaffected by his attacks.

"AHH!" he yelled as fire exploded around him, successfully pushing the wall away. He managed to destroy some spikes, though the earth itself hardened. He didn't know why this happened, but Jake did.

Jake allowed his earth to get cooked! This required a lot of strength and control if the fire was from a stronger elementalist, of course, otherwise the earth would just get crushed.

Feller saw the floating ceramics trying to wound him and just felt irked.

When the earth user's team resumed their barrage of attacks on him, with those sharp earth floating above his head, it felt like they were mocking him.

"We don't have time for this!" he screamed, carelessly throwing fire everywhere. "Where are the Elders? ATTACK THE ELDERS!"

It was around this time that a new voice appeared. "You still haven't gotten past? It must've been several minutes since those flares were lit.

"You're an embarrassment, Feller."

They turned to see that it was none other than the strongest man in this mission, Vara, the leader of the Rongo Mercenary Team, and behind him were scores of people past level 25.

"Vara!" the enemies yelled, relieved, while the Alterrans paled at the new arrivals.

Worse… they saw a familiar person on the newcomer's hand, completely covered in blood, and his head being squeezed in the man's palm.

Their eyes constricted and they lost all blood.

"ELDER ANSEL!"
