After Transmigrating into a Novel with My Boyfriend, He Turned Out to Be a Native Villain-Chapter 79: He’s Doomed to Be Single
As soon as he spoke, the woman froze in place. She neither dared to move forward nor back.
Because Bo Jingmo would actually do something like that.
He even acted like this toward the boss.
【LMAO this guy is so cold.】
【That pretty girl next to him is turning green.】
【Bo Jingmo, you keep this up and you’re gonna stay single forever! That mouth of yours is brutal.】
【Don’t worry about him, he’s doomed to be single. Just saying—he literally killed the person he liked in the last instance.】
【WTF, that’s psycho.】
【LOL you get used to it. Us regular viewers are already numb to it.】
【Hey, I think I see some familiar faces again. Oh no, Ji Xun and Qi Mai got grouped together again. I still remember those two squads cannot stand each other.】
【Pretty sure the matchmaking system does it on purpose.】
Seeing that she wasn’t going to get anything out of Bo Jingmo, Du Yanhan withdrew her leg and prepared to sit back down quietly.
But just then, a mocking laugh came from the front.
“Du Yanhan, seriously, give it a rest. Do you really think Bo Jingmo wants to talk to you?”
Du Yanhan’s face turned sour instantly. She was already annoyed, and now this? No way she was letting it go.
She stood up and looked at the woman who had just spoken, her tone sharp: “What’s that supposed to mean, Yi Xian? I was just chatting with a coworker—don’t project your dirty mind onto me, okay?”
Yi Xian turned her head. She had shoulder-length short hair, a delicate face, and big round eyes—very doll-like and youthful.
But once she opened her mouth, the words came with thorns.
“Oh please. Dirty mind? Girl, your intentions couldn’t be more obvious. How many times have you ‘coincidentally’ ended up next to Bo Jingmo today? Our company finally has a god-tier programmer, and you’re gonna scare him off.”
She even turned to the chubby man up front and asked, “Am I right, Boss?”
Chen Chang, sitting at the front, wiped sweat from his forehead when he heard his name.
“All right, all right. We finally got out here to relax, can you two just not fight for once? You’re at it every day at the office.”
Yi Xian scoffed, “I wasn’t trying to fight. Someone’s just being extra annoying again.”
Getting no backup from Chen Chang, she turned to the man sitting next to her. “Ji Xun, don’t you think I’m right?”
Ji Xun looked up from his phone. He had a delicate, youthful look, with slightly wavy brown hair and narrow monolids. His eyes slanted up slightly—phoenix eyes—and there was often a flash of calculation in them, like he was always scheming.
He knew Yi Xian was trying to toss him a spotlight.
In this instance, his identity was a company salesperson, same as Yi Xian and Qi Mai. Guangran was in charge of finance, and there was also a chubby programmer sitting elsewhere.
Du Yanhan was the company receptionist—always dolled up—and clearly had a thing for Bo Jingmo.
After quickly sizing up the group, Ji Xun curved his eyes in a playful grin and said lazily, “The way you’re saying that, Yi Xian, makes it sound like you want me to die at the hands of Miss Front Desk over there. I refuse to answer.”
Then he even crossed his arms in an ‘X’ to show his refusal.
【LOL, Ji Xun always knows how to talk slick.】
【Front desk girl: You think not answering will save you from me?】
【Classic routine hahaha. These two always have great banter. Too bad Cen Xiu isn’t here this time—Qi Mai and Guangran aren’t good at grabbing screen time. Their ratings might suffer.】
【Don’t say that. I heard this instance is hard as hell. Just surviving is a win.】
【When isn’t it hard? LOL】
Qi Mai, who was being mentioned by viewers, looked a little lost and unsure how to jump in. Guangran gently patted his hand.
She shook her head and whispered, “It’s fine. Don’t rush.”
Bo Jingmo ignored all the noise inside the bus, still staring out the window.
Suddenly, a flicker of red—a strange, eerie figure—flashed through the trees.
His gaze sharpened instantly, brows furrowing.
At the same time, bad news came from up front.
“The bus broke down. We can’t go any farther.”
Everyone’s attention snapped to the front, and even the arguing stopped.
Du Yanhan’s face turned pale. “No way. What are we supposed to do now?”
Chen Chang, the driver, and a man and woman at the very front got off the bus to discuss. The rest had no choice but to wait.
A few minutes later, Chen Chang got back on board with an announcement.
“The bus won’t move. We’ll have to walk the rest of the way.”
“WHAT?!” Du Yanhan shrieked. One look at the muddy road below, and her fragile hopes completely shattered.
She slumped back into her seat, arms crossed, and refused to move. Her tone was full of despair: “No way. I’m not walking. I want to go home. Walking is as good as a death sentence.”
She had brought so much luggage—walking was gonna kill her.

Chen Chang’s face tightened, but he kept his tone calm. “Du Yanhan, there’s no car coming. I asked the driver—the fastest they can send someone is tomorrow. We have to go on foot.”
Du Yanhan looked even more devastated. “No. Then I’ll just sleep here and wait for rescue.”
The others had already started unloading their luggage and getting off the bus. She was the only one still sitting there.
Chen Chang’s gaze darkened for a moment. With a trace of irritation in his voice, he stepped up to her and said quietly:
“I asked the guide just now. We won’t make it to the destination tonight. We’ll probably have to camp out. If you want, I’ll pitch your tent next to Bo Jingmo’s. It’s up to you.”
Du Yanhan froze, her resistance faltering. She looked up cautiously. “Really?”
Chen Chang: “Really. I’m your boss—would I lie to you?”
A few minutes later, the so-called princess finally got off the bus, luggage in hand.
Qi Mai stepped forward. “Let me help.”
His skill was raw strength, so carrying stuff was no problem—and a chance to get some screen time.
Du Yanhan lit up with joy. “Oh my god, you’re the best, Qi-ge! Not like those other jerks.”
Ji Xun gave a light scoff. “Just a people-pleaser. What’s there to praise?”
Guangran noticed Bo Jingmo still staring at the woods. She thought about asking him, but he looked away before she could.
So she quietly dropped the idea.
Everyone gathered in front of the bus as the man and woman introduced themselves.
The girl who had answered the phone earlier gave a shy smile. “Welcome to Longshan Village, everyone. I’m your guide—my name is Zhao Meng, but you can call me Mengmeng. This is my brother, Zhao Xu.”
Zhao Xu gave a small nod. He had a scar on his brow and a fierce face—clearly not someone to mess with.
“The bus is done for. We’ll have to walk. You all brought camping gear, right? We’ll have to spend the night outside.”
One of the chubby programmers raised a hand. “What about dinner?”
Everyone perked up. After all, no food meant no energy.
“Dinner?”
Zhao Xu repeated the question, scanning the group. Then he slowly replied:
“Wild game.”
Seeing the looks on their faces, Zhao Meng quickly jumped in to smooth things over.
“My brother’s a great hunter in our village. He’s also an amazing cook. Don’t worry—it’s gonna taste even better than city food. All local and fresh.”
That finally eased the group’s nerves.
Just as they were about to leave, Zhao Xu spoke again:
“Stick close to me. There’s no signal here, so your phones are useless. Don’t wander off—you’ll get lost.”
Ji Xun raised an eyebrow. “Can’t we just shout? It’s not like people can’t hear us.”
Zhao Xu gave him a strange look. His tone turned ominous:
“When you run into a ghost wall, you can scream all you want—it won’t help.”
That shut everyone up instantly.
