Beastmen Love-Chapter 104: Separated

If he mentioned he killed Astri’s father, then he should be the Monster King.

"I should have noticed she was back. You did a good job hiding her, but you did a terrible job training her. She’s capable of much more than this. Thank you for that, actually. Will be easier to keep her with me." The Monster King says.

Lee and Cyprian fly quickly to attack him, but then he creates a dark red, almost black, dagger and puts it on her throat. That made them stop instantly.

"Take me instead of her." Claud says.

"You’re nothing next to her, unicorn. She will make me stronger, live forever, and.." He touches her belly in a sexy way. "Carry my Monsters."

He laughs and smells her hair.

"Thank you for bringing her back. Be grateful that I’ll let you live. I suggest you find another spouse if you don’t want to live in pain." He chuckles and then a black portal appears behind him.

"DON’T LET HIM GO!!" Claud screams and holds the Monster King with all his might.

Galion comes flying quickly from his back, but the portal envelops them like a bubble and then the portal disappears taking them along.

"NO!!!"

The other portals also close, leaving the remaining monsters to be killed. Claud holds his chest, feeling his mark burning all the time.

Wayde, Zin, Lee, Cyprian, and Beau stop in front of him, all of them with desperate eyes on their faces since they’re feeling the spousal marks burning.

"What are we going to do? Do you know where this Monster King lives?" Wayde asks Claud.

"I have an idea of where he is.. But it would take us hundreds of days to get there." Claud answers.

"We can’t just do nothing! He will kill her!" Zin loudly says.

Claud sighs and looks around.

"Calm down. Astri once told me that two can play the same game." Claud answers.

Shung leaves the litter and looks around.

"Where’s Astri?" He asks.

He can see in their eyes that something happened to Astri.

"She was taken. The Monster King won’t kill her. He needs her alive. I can’t make several portals like him, it takes too much energy. He used the energies of other creatures to open them. I can open one but I’ll do that once Astri is ready to fight back. She knows I’ll look after her and our Astri won’t give up without a fight." Claud explains.

"We need to go somewhere you can stay. You will be open to any attack and very tired once you find her and open the portal. It’s too risky doing it here." Galion says.

"Yes. Let’s go back home. We’re near. Then I’ll focus on finding her and observe the right moment to open the portal." Claud speaks.

"We can protect you while you try to bring her back. We can’t let her stay longer with that creature. My mark is burning all the time." Beau speaks.

They hear Elias and Kai calling for Astri. Claud remembers the promise he made to Astri of protecting the cubs no matter what.

"All of us are suffering. But to really save her, we need to be smart. He knows I’ll look after her. That’s why we need to make sure Astri can fight and now I can’t be sure of that. Also, if I open a portal for us to go there. We won’t stand a chance in their kingdom. Patience. Let’s make sure the cubs are safe too." Claud speaks and goes to calm them down and keep them inside the litter.

The other sighs, agreeing that they need to act smart and make sure everything ends well.

"I’ll tell the warriors and guards to finish with these Monsters and we will come back home." Lee says and flies away.

Claud hugs the cubs who are still looking after their mother.

"Mo..momom. Mom." Yuki started to try to speak.

Claud looks at her impressed, but also sad that Astri couldn’t hear Yuki’s first words.

"It’s all right. Mommy will be fine. We all need to be strong and fine for when she comes back." Claud keeps hugging them, also to reassure himself.

They quickened the pace and practically ran back to the tribe. Lee orders the soldiers not to tell anyone what happened and that Astri is missing. They don’t want to need to explain anything to anyone.

Only Shung calls Fraz to come stay in the castle and help take care of the tiger cubs.

"But what happened, Shung? Where’s Astri?" Fraz asks, worried.

She lets her own cubs near the tiger cubs, and also Yuki. They gather around and look at each other curiously.

Shung brings Fraz to another room to try to explain what happened without many details:

"Astri was taken away. By Monsters." Shung says in a low voice to Fraz.

She holds her mouth and chest in shock.

"What everyone is going to do?" Fraz asks.

"They have an idea where she was taken. They’re organizing to go after her. For now, stay with her cubs. Yuki is missing her very much already. The boys are trying to be strong for their sister. They need you to keep their minds occupied with something else. Some guards will stay here to guard you. I’ll go with them to help with anything I can."

"Yes. Sure. Leave them to me. Be careful. Bring Astri back." Fraz nods.

Shung smiles and nods. Fraz goes back to where the children are and stays there to play. Elias and Kai might have same age as Yuki, but their minds and instincts evolve faster than Yuki’s because they’re males. Beastmen males grow more capable to think and protect faster than females. The boys already know that Astri is in danger and that she might never come back, but they take the position as Yuki’s protectors and they don’t want to leave her side even if it’s just to play.

"You’re good boys. Everything will be fine. Your fathers are strong and will find her soon. Now, stay with your sister and make her feel comfortable and protected, all right?" Fraz rubs the boys’s heads.

They nod and then Kai bite Yuki’s clothes to carry her to bed. Fraz feeds all of them and let them sleep. She lays down with her own cubs near the tigers and sleep with them, hoping her presence will make them more relaxed.

After some hours, Astri wakes up tied inside some kind of jail. The bars are made with rock and that place is very cold. She looks around and doesn’t any idea of where she is. She tries to remember what happened, but is not sure of what happened. She only remembers her eyes growing dark after she closed the portal in the sky.

Nature shows her where she is, and now Astri knows that she’s in very deep trouble.

"What should I do, Nature?" She asks in her mind.

Nature warms her body on the cold floor and Astri feels she’s nauseous with the smell of the place. It smells like a place where people never bathe.

She moves her hands and makes a sharp rock on the ground. She moves herself to the sharp rock and moves her arms to cut the ropes that ties her wrists together. After that she cuts the ropes from her legs, then she stands up and then she beats on a bar to break it and make a hole for her to leave.

She walks outside the prison and directs herself to go to the only way out. When she looks from the entrance, it’s like a dark cave shined shyly by the moon light.

"You’re brave for trying to leave. I wonder where you plan to go after this." She hears a voice.

She can’t see who talked to her, but she can sense where he is.

"I wasn’t planning to leave. Is that how you treat your guests? I thought that even Monsters could do better." She asks and walks to a big rock to sit.

"You’re not a guest here, Daughter of Nature. You’re here to stay forever. You will be family." He sneered.

She chuckles.

"We’re family if we think carefully. We came from the same source of energy. We only have different purposes." She says.

She watches the Monster King stepping out from the darkness. His eyes are deep and all the color of his eyes looks like black, and the white part is very white.

She chuckles after seeing him and then laughs, passing her hand on her forehead.

"What is so fun? I noticed you like to challenge me, Daughter of Nature." He says, referring to when he had Deanora’s soul imprisoned.

"Sorry. It’s just.. I mean, it’s just fun. Destiny plays with us sometimes."

She needs to play for time. Build some path to have a better chance to survive.

"What do you mean?" He asks.

"If we were in different circumstances you would be my type. Your hair is ridiculously and effortlessly beautiful. Geez."

He smiles and gets closer to her.

"I’m glad you liked how I look. I’ll be the only male you will see now. And the only male that will impregnate you." He says, leaning his head close to hers.
