Beastmen Love-Chapter 105: Getting Acquainted
Chapter 105: Getting Acquainted
She wasn’t moved by his threat, knowing that exposing any fear would be what he wanted.
"Again. If we were in different circumstances that would arouse me for sure." She speaks.
He grabs her neck, but she doesn’t show she’s scared. He hisses, looking at her eyes and face with his very sharp eyes, like trying to see any reaction from her.
"I’m Astri, by the way." She says.
"King of Monsters." He passes his fingers around her neck and goes to her collarbone, looking at her fair skin.
"Your real name, King of Monsters."
Her answer made him look at her eyes again.
"Kangki."
"Nice meeting you, Kangki. I must tell you, your son is very poorly educated. You’re fine."
He smirks and then he stands up, he walks to the entrance of the cave.
"Come. It’s useless keeping you here." He walks outside and she follows him.
While they walk through a desert area, she feels a cold wind hitting on her. She is impressed when she sees giant scorpions and spiders there.
She sees wolves and bears fighting for food, but the fight is so bloody that it looks like they will have the last piece of meat in the whole world.
That place looks like a post-apocalyptical city in the middle of the desert. She gets closer to Kangki and follows him closely.
"Do you think I would protect you?" He smirks.
"I’m sure of it. You’re the only one that I can trust here. Do you think I’m stupid?" She says and then holds his arm to keep walking.
He looked at her, being compliant and brave near him, and that made him show a big sick smirk.
"You’re right. You can only trust me now."
"Can I ask where your spouse is? How can you court me if you’re mated?" She asks.
"We don’t have spouses. Monsters can f*ck whoever they want."
"Ew.. Let me guess. You don’t mate with anyone?" She asked him, and her question made him look at her again.
"Nature told you that?" He asks.
"No. Mating with different people and things leads to diseases. Sexual diseases are mostly deadly. To be King you must be alive for a long time, so you’re not sick. You chose your females carefully before doing anything."
He chuckles. frёeweɓηovel.coɱ
"You’re smart. Your father was smart too. I hunted him for hundreds of years and when I got him, he knew he would die anyway so he sacrificed his last strength to send you away."
He wanted to hurt her deeply. And it hurts her, but her face doesn’t show any reaction, pretending she didn’t hear anything.
"Do you know where he sent me?" She asks him.
"No. I just know that you were lucky and smart to keep hidden for so long."
"I see." She smiles.
He can see that she’s hiding something. Better not to tell him about other worlds, he might send her back and she doesn’t want that.
They arrive at a bigger cave at the top of a cliff, she can feel sand all over the place and he shows her a kind of nest made of old branches and leather.
"Charming. May I make some changes?" She asks.
"As long as you don’t leave my eyesight." He answers, lying down on the nest.
"Even to pee and poop?"
"You can do it at the corner."
She sighs rubbing her head.
"What am I?" She asks.
"Daughter of Nature. You’re mine." He answers.
"And you are?"
"King of Monsters."
"King of Monsters Kangki, do you die of sickness?"
"Yes. You’re the same, right?"
"Yes. We’re the same, remember? So, do you know how females get sick and die so young?"
"I don’t care why."
"Oh sure. I thought you were smart. We’re not similar at all then." She says, sitting down away from his nest.
He sighs, annoyed, his eyes start to become dark showing he’s getting angry.
"If you want to live without suffering, you better never call me stupid again." He warns her.
"And if you really want to live forever because of me, you better remember that if I get sick because of this shit hole that will be your fault."
He sits, angry with her remark and courage to face him this way. But when he aims his dark eyes on hers, he actually chuckles.
"All right. What do you need, my Queen?" He asks.
"Let me teach you, my King." She says, sarcastically, but apparently, he doesn’t know what sarcasm is because he nods approvingly.
She explains everything she needs, from a sandbox to a bathtub, clean clothes, and water. She was expecting that he would leave to do what she asked, but he only goes to the cave entrance and roars. A big raven lands in front of him and Kangki passes everything she asks to him, then comes back to the nest.
"Will you only come to bed with me when the bed is clean?" He asks.
"And you too, of course. And if you really want to impregnate me and live all pregnancy, you better wash your..instrument very well."
He clicks his tongue.
"How long did your last spouse live?"
"She wasn’t my spouse. She was just used to having my son."
"She died afterward. I see." She sneers, and he gets impatient again. "Don’t have to be angry. I’m helping you, don’t you think?" She says before he says anything.
"All right. They will bring what you asked for tomorrow. Sleep alone on that cold corner then."
She’s happy with the outcome. She didn’t want to sleep next to him. After cleaning the corner a little bit, she lays down and keeps staring at the sealing.
He watches her in silence, thinking that she’s very different from a female even if she’s the Daughter of Nature.
"Where did you grow up?" He asks.
"A group of bears raised me until I was 18 and then I lived alone for some years until I found spouses."
"Impressive. Maybe that’s why you learned to be smarter in solitude."
"You’re not wrong. What about you? If you’re powerful like me, why do you need me to live forever?" She asks.
"Because I live by taking the life energy of others. You live from taking Nature’s energy, which is infinite. If I take your life energy, I’ll be really immortal."
"I understand now. If you take my life energy now, how long will you live?" She asks.
"Some years. Why?"
"Have you asked my father to give you life energy?"
He chuckles.
"No. Would you give it to me willingly?"
"I would." She answers and he gets impressed. "With some remarks and conditions, of course."
"What conditions?" He asks, full of curiosity about what she has in her mind.
She turns her back to him and closes her eyes.
"I’ll tell you tomorrow."
"Tell me now."
"Why do you want to know? Will you accept them?" She asks.
"Depends on what kind of remarks you’re thinking. I won’t let you go back to your beautiful family just because you gave me your life energy. I hate them just because they can have your life energy every day."
She doesn’t answer anything.
"So?"
"Let me sleep. You’re not ready to know. You need to have patience if you want us to be together somehow."
"Don’t think that you can order me to do things and think you own me like you own your spouses. You will not be pampered here. Monsters have no such a thing as spousal marks." He says, very serious.
She laughs internally, thinking he looks like a human man.
"Did you have a female that was chosen by Nature?" She asks.
"No. Why?"
"So you have no idea of what will happen to you when you have me even if you’re a Monster."
"What will happen?"
"Who knows? Patience. You will learn someday, right?" She asks.
He takes a deep breath, wanting to just pull her to his nest and rip her clothes off, but he knows she would fight and the fight would end with both of them near death.
She stays only with her eyes closed, but she doesn’t really sleep. After some time she smells something weird, but also good, and from nowhere her eyes go dark again.
She wakes up again in the morning, laid on the nest and covered by a skin sheet. She felt a strong nausea coming, so much so she could only turn and vomit. While vomiting for who knows how long, she feels someone holding her shoulders.
She took deep breaths to concentrate and also not let tears fall from her eyes with the realization.
"Are you sick? Stubborn female. You wanted to sleep in the cold." Kangki says.
He’s not actually worried about her. He only wants to keep her alive.
"No... I’m.." She bites her lips, angry because she shouldn’t say that to him. It might be worse if he knows.
But he could read her all the way through and smile.
"You’re pregnant.. That’s great to hear. Don’t worry. I’ll raise whatever it is as my own." He says.
He puts her on the bed again and gives her some water to drink. He brought the food she asked for, but it was not cooked so she only ate the fruits. Even if he’s a Monster, he knows that she will need extra care to survive a pregnancy.
Astri is happy with the new pregnancy, she’s just sad that her baby or babies might be in danger in such a place.
