Beastmen Love-Chapter 111: Diplomacy

After breakfast on the next day, Tyr is waiting for Astri to meditate. He wants to make sure she won’t be taken away.

"Even if you’re curious, don’t touch me while I’m talking to him. He will feel your presence and he won’t like it. I must have his trust." She says to Tyr.

"All right." He answers.

She sits and relaxes her body, then starts to travel her mind until she finds Kangki in his cave. Before she says anything, he stands up quickly feeling her presence. Then his eyes looked at her. He can see her perfectly and he’s impressed to see her there.

Since he’s capable of feeling her energy completely, he can see her perfectly and it doesn’t feel like she’s talking inside his mind.

"You.. What are you doing here?" He asks.

"I came to see you. How are you doing?" She says, then walks in his direction and sits on the nest.

He sits by her side and watches her on his side.

"What? I can’t come visit you?" She asks.

"It’s not that.. But why?"

"I wanted to explain things to you. My spouse took me far away, but since he doesn’t use energies from others like you, he doesn’t know where his portal will end. I took a bit longer to come to you because I couldn’t risk meditating alone and exposed. Now I’m at the Great Wall City." She says.

He opens and closes his mouth, confused because she’s telling him those things.

"How are you?"

"Angry. Because your spouse took you from me. I shouldn’t have taken my eyes from you." He says.

"I didn’t know he would do that, but I would need to leave either way someday. I would probably die there during my pregnancy or in labor." She tells him.

He clicks his tongue and looks away. She knows that it’s his way of saying "I know, but..".

"In some days I’ll start traveling to my home. It will be a very long trip, but at least I’ll be in a good place to have my cubs." She says.

"Why are you telling me all this? Do you know who I am?"

"Of course I do. I’m telling you because I need you and trust you. I know the real meaning of balance and our existence. That’s why I gave you my energy."

He looks at her again, analyzing her words.

"You’re free to see me whenever you want. I don’t want your death and my spouses won’t attack you unless you don’t attack us first. The only thing I ask is to not cross the line like possessing the Queen or King." She says.

"I’m not interested in that. It was my son’s doing."

"I know. I trust you."

He bites his lips hearing her saying that. At the same time, it makes him anxious, it also makes him happy somehow.

"I came here to let you know that you can come to me whenever you want. And when you need my energy again I’ll give it to you." She says and stands up.

"What if I tell you I will take you when you have your litter?"

"You won’t say that. You don’t have to do that." She says.

"What makes you so sure of this?"

He sighs and stands up too.

"I need you, Kangki."

His eyes widened in surprise.

"You will know when I’m traveling, so please don’t let your monsters attack us. And also not let the word go to other kings like you. Or to the Emperor too. He won’t care if the world ends. I’m the last of my kind and I’m willing to be only with you." She keeps surprising him, but he nods in agreement after some time.

"All right."

She gets close to him again and tries to touch his hand, but her hand goes directly through him.

"Knowing our meaning is the real balance. And I believe you and I can live in balance." She says, then blows a kiss to him, and then she leaves. He sighs and then sits down again, thinking deeply about what she said.

Tyr is relieved when he sees her opening her eyes and standing up.

"So? How was it?" He asks curiously.

"Great. He won’t let his Monsters attack us when we travel."

"Really?"

Claud, Lee and Wayde were watching too. All of them are impressed to know Kangki agreed with Astri, but they’re grateful something worse didn’t happen.

"At least he will be peaceful.. I just hope he won’t try to deceive you." Claud says.

"Oh you’re here." She smiles hearing in her mind.

"We’re here too." Wayde and Lee say.

"Good. You can rest assured. I can talk to the others to make them feel more relieved too. I told you everything would end up fine." She says.

"We trust you and Nature. But we will always worry. It’s our instincts." Claud speaks.

"I know. I love that about you. Always question. With the right questions, we can know more answers."

"I didn’t know there was more than one Monster King.. But knowing that there’s the Queen of Aquaterra and King of Beasts here, I should have known there would be more evil things." Wayde says.

"True.. What we know about our world is very limited." Lee says.

"I’ll explain about worlds when we’re back together. Now I.." She says and then she runs to the bucket next to the bucket to vomit.

Tyr rushes to her side and holds her hair up. Claud explains to Tyr everything he must do to take care of her while she’s pregnant. What he will need to have during the trip and other details. Tyr notes everything.

He’s pressured because he’s the only spouse there to do everything, but he’s also happy to be capable of doing that for her.

"You better not be making love to her every night just because you’re alone there with her, Tyr. Don’t tire her. Even more now that her body is weak, feeling nauseous all the time." Lee says.

"I’m not tiring her.. At least not too much." Tyr speaks, and smiles at Astri.

"Let him play. When we’re back together he will be out of the line for some rounds." Wayde speaks.

"We’re here alone. Since you’re not here, I need to fulfill her desires at your place." Tyr says.

"Just don’t get her sick. Being alone with her makes us want her more." Claud speaks.

"That’s true. But I won’t get her sick. I’ll hold myself."

Astri rolls her eyes and then sits down on the bed. Males.

"I’ll talk to the others." She says.

While she’s talking to Beau, Zin and Cyprian, the others keep talking about the trip. After that she lies down to rest. Tyr closes the curtains for her to rest better and then goes back to work because there are still a lot of things to organize.

There was an uproar in the high society of Great Wall City. Tyr has chosen his Queen and he’s already mated, and that made a lot of females very angry because they were expecting to be chosen and someone they don’t even know took their place.

But the biggest uproar would still come, and that was when Tyr nominated his loyal general as King. He has been talking to the Elders for a long time that he would leave someday to be with his mate and they weren’t expecting that to happen because it’s the first time a King chooses another King without being his son and also so young.

During the afternoon, Astri goes with Tyr for a feast with the Elders. They’re looking at Astri with curious eyes, even Elder Abel is looking at her with curiosity, trying to know why she’s there alone.

"Your mate is for sure beautiful, King Tyr. Congratulations." One of the Elders says.

"Thank you. She’s more than beautiful. She’s unique." Tyr smiles at Astri.

"Long time no see, Elder Abel. I hope you’re doing well." She says.

"I am.. Thank you, Lady Astri. Where are your other spouses if I may ask?" He asks.

"Traveling. They will be back soon. They trust Tyr is more than powerful enough to protect me." She answers.

Tyr noticed that she’s very bad at lying, but she can tell the truth without exposing important details very well.

"I see.. King Tyr is very capable indeed."

She doesn’t even need to see his mind to know he’s having ideas. She lets him believe he’s super smart and waits to see what he’s up to with her own eyes. Tyr holds her hand and questions her with his eyes. She answers with a smile to show everything is alright.

A group of females arrive to have dinner, it’s the spouses of the Elders. They chose females only for procreation, so the females only used them as power assets. However, the most powerful of them is still the king so the eyes of these females to Astri are full of disgust and envy.

They don’t see Astri as very beautiful since she wears winter clothes constantly even if it’s not cold.

"If you keep staring at my mate like this I’ll have to banish you from this feast. Until I leave these walls I’m still the King, and I want my Queen to be respected." Tyr warns the females.

"And when you come to visit, you will always be seen as King, my lord." The colonel nominated as King by Tyr speaks, also warning the others.

Tyr trained him very well, to make him never let the Elders dominate him. And for him to choose a female that won’t create worse scenarios on his back like putting males against each other.

The females avoid looking at Astri, who’s already ignoring them.

"Do you want me to get rid of them?" Tyr asks Astri, impressing the females.

"No, love. You see, you’re handsome, powerful, loyal, good and an amazing beastman. How could they not be envious? I’m the lucky one here. I don’t mind if they’re angry." Astri answers.

"If I became this good, it was your doing. We met long ago and I improved because I wanted to be as humble and good as you." He smiles.

She chuckles.

"No one changes or improves not wanting to change or improve, my love. But thank you. I became better after meeting you too." She answers and kisses his cheek.

He purs approvingly, pulling her closer. The other females are envious of this loving environment between Tyr and Astri.
