Chapter 75: Breaking Reality

Hero and Drae’mon exchanged a small nod.

Of course, the enormous figure of the skeleton made the concept of a "small nod" seem odd, but no one paid it any mind.

Nothing more was needed.

The clash would be decided by action, not words.

Hero began to admire this older brother of his, much more than before.

And so, their clash began, with Drae’mon having stopped pumping liquid Osseoth into his body to avoid accidentally destroying the Aberration.

The echoes of their attacks resounded everywhere.

In that form, Drae’mon’s physical strength was not to be underestimated. But the point was not his strength— it was his mass and weight.

Each of his attacks made the very atmosphere tremble, as if the world wanted to bend under his weight.

His blows were so heavy they appeared slow.

And it was thanks to this that Hero managed to keep up with the skeleton.

However, it was only a futile struggle.

Hero was performing well, dodging blows and striking at the right moments.

His concentration was at its peak, every fiber of his body and bones tense.

He was adapting to Drae’mon’s style in real time.

After all, the Aberration was formed from the remains of a devil, and one of their traits was precisely adaptation.

However, no adaptation could allow Hero to win.

Their clash lasted about thirty seconds.

But for those watching, it was like witnessing a battle between giants.

Hero had given everything he had.

Feints, sneaky attacks. He used every skill and ability he had, but it was all for nothing.

In the face of Drae’mon’s power, any action was futile.

Despite having an immaterial body, the skeleton’s blow landed perfectly on him, pushing him out of the ring.

Victory belonged to Drae’mon.

An undisputed triumph.

He had won a 3-on-1.

And it had not even been difficult— he had even held back.

"Well done, everyone!" Jeremy’s voice marked the end of the clash.

With a snap of his fingers, the ring shattered and Jeremy absorbed all the Osseoth.

Then, he turned his head toward a headless Leo’sol and a halved SuperCannon.

His gaze was full of pity, as if he were looking at mistreated and discarded children.

Even though his favorite, Drae’mon, had won, he felt sorry for the others.

With a simple look, the bodies of the two Aberrations reassembled, returning to their original state.

Of course, in their eyes, the flame of rebellion was still visible.

The skeleton would pay.

That was their vow.

Only Hero’s eyes lacked this flame of vengeance.

He had lost. Moreover, he could not rebel against his older brother.

He had saved face by not destroying him, after all.

And so the three stepped forward, approaching Jeremy for the final judgment.

"You all did very well, you exceeded my expectations." A smile bloomed on the boy’s face, completely unmasked. It came naturally to him to speak with his undead.

On his shoulder, Drae’mon could be seen. He had returned to his primary form, so he could stay close to Jeremy at all times.

But the skeleton’s expression was serious. He stared at the three Aberrations as if whatever they were about to become would not change a thing.

He was always the first.

"The second to receive this incredible power and evolution will be—"

---

Yvanna and her Paradox continued to face Malrik, who was growing more and more excited for some reason.

He would not stop laughing and saying nonsense.

But the empress imagined the reason.

She could feel it too.

What Jeremy was doing downstairs was truly off the charts.

However, their fight could not be called even.

Ever since he had used his power to enhance the attack, Malrik had become truly strong.

Some of Yvanna’s Paradox were destroyed.

Of course, it was only a partial destruction.

After all, they were forms belonging to another reality, and so they existed in two different versions.

The center of all these versions was always the original Yvanna.

She was fighting from a distance, using her power to bring down the devil, but the situation worsened when Malrik used his power to enhance regeneration, defense, and everything else.

He had become terrifying.

But Yvanna was waiting for a precise moment to make her move.

She waited for the devil to get distracted, so she could anchor him between two realities and lower his defenses.

After all, although the power of Yvanna’s Paradox was real, their actual strength was reduced in this reality.

Of course, not to the point where she could not destroy a Rank EX in one blow.

And the moment she was waiting for came soon.

The devil had gotten distracted by observing the boy’s new creation. Sure, she was curious too, but she could not miss this opportunity.

"Twilight Anchor"

A moment later, the devil’s excited smile froze. No, his whole body froze, becoming translucent.

"Did not expect that, did you?" The voices of all Yvanna’s Paradox reached the devil’s ear.

Each prepared a different attack, based on their own concept.

After all, none of them had the power of the true Yvanna, Velastrum.

But that was normal.

If another figure had that power, would not it create a disturbance between realities, making it hard to tell a real one from a parallel one?

The two Paradox that stood out the most were Gugistrum Yvanna and Velastrum.

After all, they were the only ones whose power was not reduced in any way.

"Paradox Convergence"

All the attacks from the Paradox were amplified by one level, converging at a single point.

And this was the spark that completely destroyed the space around the devil.

The blow was so devastating conceptually that space collapsed on itself, creating a parallel reality.

One in which only Yvanna, her Paradox, and Malrik were present.

The world around them, in this reality, was completely erased.

The convergence point where Yvanna had aimed was not the head, but the chest.

After all, the head was everyone’s weak spot.

And as such, it was where one would concentrate most of their defenses.

And her reasoning was correct.

Of Malrik’s body, only the upper part remained intact.

Torso, arms, and head.

The rest had disappeared, as if it had never been there.

Not even a drop of blood was visible.

Everything had been erased.

Moments later, Malrik came to.

A stabbing pain filled his mind, which until moments ago had been fine.

One moment he had been distracted by the boy’s new creation, the next he found himself in a space he did not recognize, missing half his body.

---

"The second to receive this incredible power and evolution will be—"

Jeremy’s voice paused for a second, creating incredible tension among the Aberrations.

The pair Leo’sol and SuperCannon felt the same way.

The evolution would go to Hero.

After all, he was the one who had performed the best.

But they had not lost hope. Or at least, SuperCannon still had a lot of faith.

His energy blast had been very powerful.

And firepower of that level was exactly what their master lacked.

Meanwhile, Leo’sol’s thoughts were uncertain. He hoped, but he knew better than anyone.

He was just a wall of flesh, he would never be chosen...

"Leo’sol"

"..."

Leo’sol’s gaze fell on his master, who at that moment seemed like the most beautiful and majestic being in the universe!

But the words he spoke next brought him from heaven to hell. Literally.

"You performed well, but right now we need something else."

The sparring match was meant to be a method to choose the most qualified Aberration, but Jeremy, in the end, had already made his choice.

A moment later, Jeremy’s gaze fell on a slender-shaped Aberration.

Hero’s face was full of smiles. He was the one who had performed the best, after all. The evolution prize was rightfully his.

His fight with Drae’mon could only be described as fantastic. Yes, he lost in the end, but he fought with every cell in his dead body.

But, like a cold shower in the middle of winter, Jeremy turned his gaze to the last of his creations present.

"SuperCannon, you will be the one to receive the evolution. We need your power." Jeremy’s voice definitively shattered Hero’s hopes.

How could their master play with their feelings like that? Was he even human?

Well, what a question... of course he was not.

He was a Thal’Morion, even if he did not know what that meant.

"I can feel it. That devil... is hiding something. We need as much power as possible"

With this final sentence, Jeremy’s usually calm face grew slightly grim.

Even he was not sure he could kill it. And he was a Rank above the devil.

Then he signaled to the woman next to him, who handed him the Elixir of Concept, the one that enabled the evolution of Jeremy and Drae’mon.

"Good luck." Cambela winked at the two-headed wolf, who responded with a nod of recognition.

"Osseoth, Let It Be Bone"
