Chapter 164: Chapter 164

Stage Three would be held in the same grounds as Stage Two. So, the travel was similar, but also not at the same time.

During Stage Two, there were five from Dusk Academy Participating, but now that number has reduced to three. Mirth Academy has only one participant in this stage. Even if that was the case, as there were participants, all students still had a free stay at the hotel, and free transport to the place where the next and final stage of the tournament would take place.

For the Valiant Academy, though, that wasn’t the case. They lost all in Stage Two. So, their stay for now is not free, and the van transporting participating academies would not give free transport for them to the grounds. They have to find their own way.

It was the same for many academies, except for a few.

The Military and Capital academies have their transports, and that leaves only seven academies, including Dusk and Mirth Academies.

---

Aaron and his group had breakfast, and after that, their group were brought to the stadium along with the Mirth Academy group. Once they were at the stadium, these two groups went to the Participants’ area.

Though not all of them are eligible to be there, even with a single participant, they could still enter the area, which was cordoned off for others.

From here, the view is better than anywhere else. It was the one benefit that they were able to enjoy because one of their mates was still in the run.

"Welcome back, everyone. Welcome to the third and final stage of the Inter-Academy tournament. As you know, after Stage Two ended three days ago, only fifteen participants remained. I urge those fifteen to step onto the grounds", the coordinator spoke.

Aaron, Erika and Diana from Dusk Academy stepped onto the grounds, along with the remaining fifteen. The man stayed calm till everyone arrived.

"Now that everyone is here, listen up, how Stage Three would go. You see there are fifteen of you here. So, there are two rounds in this stage".

"For the first round, fourteen of you would fight in duels. There would be seven members who win and seven lost. The winning seven along with the one who got the pass, they would fight again, leaving behind four, with no one joining by getting a pass".

"This is where Round Two starts. Each and every one of the final four would fight with each other as a way to determine the top four ranks, while the four that lost the matches just before Round two, they would fight each other for the fifth rank".

"There would be a lot of matches held. In Round One itself, there would be 11 matches. In Round Two, there would be 12 matches, a total of 23 matches. Now get ready", the coordinator announced.

Soon the matches started.

---

The first seven matches went smoothly. Aaron won easily in this elimination match, while Erika won the match, though she almost lost it. Diana, on the other hand, lost the match to a student from Capital Academy.

Mirth Academy was eliminated, and so was Luminar Academy.

Aaron was matched with the student from Luminar Academy, which ended in Aaron’s victory.

The one student who was from the top fifteen academy was lucky and got the pass, making it to the last eight.

Both the Capital and Military academies had two students each, similar to Dusk Academy. One was from one of the top ten academies, Ascent Academy.

After the first seven matches were held, and the final eight were determined, a small break was given for the contestants.

An hour later, the matches continued.

From Dusk Academy, Aaron got a win, while Erika lost the match, but she can still fight against the three who lost the match, and compete for the fifth rank in the tournament.

From the Military Academy, there was also a single student in the final four. ƒгeewebnovёl.com

From the Capital Academy, it was a different thing. Both students who made it to the top eight made it to the top four, and one of them was obviously Mary, which was not surprising to many who knew about her.

The surprise came from Dusk Academy in the form of Aaron. No one thought that there would be one in the top four.

Many officials immediately pulled his achievements from the start of the tournament and were surprised to see how many potential seeds for higher ranks were eliminated by him.

In the First stage, he eliminated all five from Sword Academy. If not for their idiocy of thinking of robbing Dusk Academy students, they may have still been one of the top eight, if not the top four.

Now, their rank has degraded to a very low level. Though the rank was yet to be officially determined, given how they were all eliminated so quickly, their rank would be very low. This was bad for the Sword Academy, but for many, it was a good thing. They improved their rank by one without doing anything.

This would cause some conflicts between him and Sword Academy students, that was for sure, but there was nothing they could do about it. He, after all, eliminated all five, even though that was because of those five idiots, not because Aaron hunted them down.

The reason behind elimination doesn’t matter, and the Sword Academy might make things difficult for him when possible. They can’t act directly, but there were always ways to cause trouble without showing their hand.

The alliance couldn’t afford to lose such a good seed permanently if Sword Academy or another idiot did something bad. They could just give a little warning to the Sword Academy regarding this. Even if they do anything, they won’t cross a limit.

Overcoming hurdles is also a way for one to grow in order to reach a higher stage in life.

The officials then read about eliminating two Luminar Academy students, even one from both the Capital and Military Academies.

This surprised them a lot and they are sure even if he fails to reach Rank-7, he was sure to reach Rank-6 and could become a terror or a protector depending on how he views the alliance and the society, especially because they were sure that he has a talent that can improve his undead or mutated skills, maybe even both.

It was the best way to say why his undead were so strong when fighting even physical professionals.

Luckily, his parents were still alive, and from the interactions he had with his family, they believed that he was still on the side of humanity.

Yes, they knew about the goods that Aaron sent to his family. Though they may not monitor everything that a person does, the Delivery Agency was a subsidiary of the alliance, but that was kept a secret.

Everything sent through the agency would be logged for the alliance to see.

The items that are required for chefs, that’s what Aaron sent to his parents while he was in the capital. So, they easily understood that he cares for his parents, and that means there is a high chance of his character being a good one.

As long as he was taken care of properly, there would be no need to worry about him turning against humanity.
