Getting reborn: I will make a harem this time.-Chapter 49: Self doubt and expectations
Chapter 49: Self doubt and expectations
He fell to the ground, leaving all the onlookers dazed and frozen.
They have never with essed anything like this before nor do they have any idea of what happened just now?
All the ones kneeling on the ground didn’t dare to get up. They were afraid, fear welled up inside their heart for that unknown might.
Seeing Ravi fall to the ground, Ayesha immediately went to him.
From outside his body seemed normal as if he incurred no injuries, but she as a healer knew that the attack wasn’t done on his body but to his soul.
She didn’t waste any time and began to cast a healing spell.
Her body glowed with green mana as she touched Ravi’s unconscious body.
She was helping his soul from the damage that he had taken.
Everyone else gasped, none dared to even speak, fearing that they will face that same might again.
And after a while of nothing happening, someone from the crowd opened his mouth, his voice shaking with fear.
"W-what was that...?" He asked, but none had the answer for that question.
Some even pledged to themselves to never come and witness any awakening ever again.
"Should we get up?" Another one asked timidly.
He gulped down, still scared, but he forced his legs to get up.
Seeing him, everyone else followed the same. But they didn’t utter a word after that, and just watched the guy that was deep in sleep.
Their thoughts were parallel.
Just who is he?
All of them had that question but none dared to ask it.
And then suddenly, a figure clad in a dignified and majestic white robe with same hairs with wrinkled face appeared in front of everyone.
He had a two pairs of blue horns on his head, his hands clasped back as he walked on the stage towards the saintess.
"I greet the saintess, hope you are doing well."
Ayesha looked at him but she didn’t say anything, she was focused on helping Ravi.
’As I thought, there must be a connection between them otherwise she wouldn’t have ignored by greetings.’
The old man thought to himself.
He then turned around, opening his eyes which glowed like that of a beast and released his aura.
It was dark and violent.
With a hoarse but cold tone, he announced to everyone present with weight on his voice.
"The awakening ceremony is over, my dear friends. I thank you all for spending your time here, you all can leave now."
The words of the old man... none dared to defy it. Because that man was a well known figure among them.
One of the transcended being of this planet and the grand elder of dragons, Azrithor.
Not only the people on first floor, but those on second floor also left the venue after his words leaving only him, the saintess, Ravi and that little girl there.
Vaelora walked upto her father, standing beside him, watching over the unconscious figure of Ravi.
Ayesha was still trying her best to heal him.
"Everyone has left now. Is there a way I can assist you saintess?" The grand elder asked, politely.
Ayesha answered him without looking his way, "I appreciate your thought, grand elder. But he is fine now."
She was done healing him. His body which is mixed with the world tree branch helped him very much in that process.
Ayesha then got up, lifting the body of Ravi on air with mana.
Grand elder flicked his fingers and a bed appeared out of thin air, Ayesha gently placed him on it, waiting for him to wake up.
"I would like to thank you once again, grand elder. You acted in proper time." Ayesha elegantly bowed her head, appreciating what he did for her.
"You don’t have to be do formal with me saingess, you can treat this old man as an uncle of yours."
His eyes then wandered at Ravi, and asked,
"If you don’t mind me asking, is he the reason you have been away for so long?"
"Seems you have figured that out, grand elder." She spoke up with decency.
"He doesn’t look anything like his age at all. At first I thought of him as a fool." He laughed out. "But he indeed surprised me, you gave birth to a great son, saintess."
"Huh?!"
Ayesha gasped and stared at him with puzzlement.
How did he even reached that conclusion?
But as she was about to tell him the truth that he wasn’t actually her son, she stopped. Something stopped her from doing that.
A thought or a false hope took place in her heart and she said, "Thank you, grand elder."
She accepted the lie.
"And here I thought my daughter was the only one who is a genius in this generation. Hahaha..." He laughed heartily and looked at his daughter Vaelora, who has been watching Ravi with curiously since very long.
Her thoughts unknown.
"Sigh, this really makes me feel too old. How the later generation are gonna surpass us soon. And with such a genius in her generation, I feel bad for my dear daughter." He expressed his thoughts as if he was said, but in truth he was happy.
"Yeah, everyone is going to surpass us..." Ayesha added, a hint of sadness in her voice.
Azithor felt it too soon. He was one of the oldest person on this planet who have lived for hundreds if not thousands of years.
He has seen Ayesha grow up from a kid and still considers her as one. He is we aware of what predicament she has been going through and was able to figure out the true meaning behind her words that held her sadness within them.
"You know, Ayesha." He spoke, informally to her. "You are one of the rarest genius which I have witnessed, and when I say that, i really mean it. I have seen countless geniuses throughout my life but you are one of very few who have met my expectations. Don’t drown yourself in self doubts, the longer you think what others might feel or think about you, the more sad you will become. I am sure when you ascend, the heaven itself will bow to you. I will be waiting for the day when you will stretch your wings and fly to the very apex."
He placed his hands on her head like an elder, encouraging her.
Her eyes dimmed a bit. Even after he said that, she was still drowning in self doubts and expectations of others.
No matter what, she couldn’t change it.
But she still decided to wear the mask again and regained her normal self. Looking at Vaelora, she asked, "So this is the dragon genius which I have heard so much of?"
"Yeah, trust me, you will be surprised by her too." The grand elder chimed in.
"Umm, I will like to see it too."
It was time for her to take the awakening test as well.
So Vaelora entered the circle too and waited for her awakening.
Till now, Ravi was unconscious. But he was still listening to everything that was happening around him.
Inside his domain.
He stood alone. Zixane wasn’t there.
Where did she went to?
She told me she not to say anything but disappeared after that.
Did something happen to her? I don’t know how I will react if I lose her as well.
But my worry was for naught... two hands worked their way from my behind, embracing me.
This touch... I couldn’t be wrong.
"Where were you?"
I asked to Zixane who was resting her head on my back.
"To deal with something, but it’s done now. No need to worry husband. So did you awaken it?"
"Yeah, i completed the test. Wanna guess what it awakened?"
I asked her, wanting to surprise her, but I felt that she might have known already, and as I expected she did.
"Godly core. It couldn’t be anything more."
"How did you...?"
"Who else would know if not me?" She said.
I then turned around, and looked down at her.
She was shorter than me now.
Wrapping my hands on her small waist, I pulled her body close to mine and kissed her.
Don’t know why, but I felt the urge to love her more right now.
Her soft and juicy lips were so good that I could feel myself getting hard right away.
I pulled back after a bit and a few words escaped my mouth without my knowledge,
"I love you, wifey."
But that were my true feelings for her.
"I love you too, husband." She replied back. fгeewёbnoѵel.cσm
We then got engaged on a kiss again, this time more passionate than before.
Maybe this was due to my fear, but I did not want to lose her like I did with Setsuna. But I didn’t know that my fear would lead me to a different and unexpected outcome.
