Chapter 58: Chapter 58 Spirit of Nature, Earth God and Totem

Floating above the high sky on Cloud Island, beyond the howling of the fierce winds and the thunderous roars, there was not a sound, as nearly a hundred Cloud Giants stood as statues, staring at the presence displayed before them, their faces vacant or incredulous.

Titan!

The supreme among the Giant Clan

An instant seemed to stretch into eternity at this moment; however, accompanied by a muffled sound, the silence was broken—a Cloud Giant’s knee colliding with the ground of Cloud Island.

The Cloud Giant, kneeling on one knee, lowered his head, offering his respect to the Titan. Thus, regardless of gender or age, one after another, the Cloud Giants knelt down, leaving Noah’s eyes filled with shock and awe.

Worth it!

This journey was truly worth it. Even in the memories of the Golden Dragon, there was no scene like this, for the Titans had been absent for so long. This race, comparable to the Divine, hadn’t visited the Material Realm for ages.

"This is my godson. Who among you is willing to make a pact with him and follow him?"

Revealing his true form, Casius pointed at Noah and looked at the bowing Cloud Giant tribe before him, asking directly.

"Your Eminence, I am willing to lead the tribe to follow your path and fight for you."

Even kneeling on one knee, a Cloud Giant taller than his peers spoke up. Clearly, this was the Giant Commander Angus mentioned, his strength surpassing ordinary giants, reaching another realm, Extreme Intent.

However, this genius among the Cloud Giants was full of excitement and enthusiasm, the fervor in his azure eyes comparable to the most devout followers of the Divine.

"You are too weak, unworthy to follow my steps."

Casius’s gaze was indifferent, ignoring the pleading eyes of the giants, rejecting the Giant Commander’s request with the most ruthless tone.

"..."

Noah watched wide-eyed as many of the Cloud Giants, including the Commander, turned pale and disheartened after his godfather’s harsh words, as if they’d lost some vital force and vitality.

But the juvenile Golden Dragon felt no sympathy, only satisfaction, as this group repeatedly ignored him.

"Your Eminence!"

The Cloud Giant Commander still wanted to argue, but he couldn’t continue because the exalted Titan, who was not meant to exist in this world, had cast his gaze elsewere.

It was the majestic mountain standing at the center of Cloud Island, and at this moment, as Casius revealed his true body, his aura unconcealed, the mountain began to "awaken," and eyes like crescents slowly opened, an ancient aura suffusing those deep pupils, spanning through the ages.

With this presence’s awakening, Noah could clearly feel the surrounding natural elements responding to a will that was beginning to awaken—the howling wind grew fiercer, the clouds flowed rapidly, the entire Cloud Island Secret Realm was welcoming the revival of this ancient creature.

"So that’s how it is."

Seeing the towering mountain burst with shocking fractures as if disintegrating, Noah realized.

He had been puzzled about why his godfather revealed his true form so abruptly—not to intimidate the Cloud Giant tribe, as he had just said, these giants were unworthy, not qualified.

Casius’s real target was the ancient creature slumbering on Cloud Island, unknown even to the Cloud Giants. Noah could clearly see that almost all the Cloud Giants were baffled, looking at the vibrating, cracked mountain.

This group of guys didn’t know what was going on. Although they lived on this Cloud Island, it was evident they were unaware that the Cloud Island Secret Realm actually had a master.

As trees fell and massive rocks peeled away, under the sunlight spilling down as the mist cleared, gigantic scales with a metallic sheen emerged, naturally emblazoned with ancient mysterious patterns that shimmered, carrying a sense of the ages.

It was a snake, an ancient giant serpent coiled around the mountain. Over the course of time, dirt accumulated and hardened on its body, causing grass and trees to grow, completely covering its massive form, so that the giants who arrived later thought it was unclaimed land.

"Stay here and don’t move until I return."

Casius instructed Noah, then took steps toward the mountain. As the Titan approached, the serpent’s body began to move slowly, truly awakening.

Its enormous form uncoiled circle by circle from the mountain, and whenever a section separated from the mountain, large areas of mountain rock collapsed, leaving behind deep traces. Although the serpent’s movements were slow, they carried an unstoppable force, like rivers frozen for thousands of years melting, surging and flowing again.

The serpent’s body lightly twisted, slowly rising from the rocky mountain, and the friction of scales against stone created thunderous roars. However, these terrifying sounds were gradually disappearing because the serpent was lifting its body and swimming into the floating clouds.

When the serpent completely detached from the mountain, coiling in midair, its presence dominated everything. All living things in the Cloud Island Secret Realm dared not move, and even the most rebellious Roc Birds feared to spread their wings and soar, gazing in reverence at the true ruler of this world.

Yet, although everything was silent, there was still one existence that could ignore the majesty exuded by this ancient creature upon awakening. Casius stood at the foot of the mountain, gazing up at the giant serpent in the sky, the joy in his eyes evident.

This was an ancient creature capable of battling him. Covered in primeval blue scales, its massive body was not inferior even to his nearly seventy-meter Titan Body, perhaps even surpassing it.

An unexpected delight!

"It’s truly massive!"

Though not possessing the immense power of his godfather, as the Golden Dragon, Noah could also disregard the aura exuded by the ancient serpent. Merely observing its body coiling between the clouds could not help but evoke admiration.

This ancient creature, awakened by his godfather’s arrival, showed no special traits based solely on biological characteristics.

It had neither special lineage nor ancient origins. Small green snakes of similar shape could easily be found roaming in the wild forests.

The only aspect that inspired admiration and respect, that even Titans with legendary bloodlines would feel a desire to battle, was its overwhelmingly massive serpent body.

Noah understood why this giant serpent could break through conventional limits and understanding, disregarding the shackles of racial bloodline, for it was a Spirit of Nature, a creature favored by the will of nature.

In the oldest eras, when civilization was still in its infancy, Spirits of Nature could also become Earth Gods, transformed into totemic beliefs, worshipped and revered by many Primitive Tribes.
