Golden Dragon: Six Thousand Years of Empire-Chapter 57 Titan’s Dignity
Chapter 57: Chapter 57 Titan’s Dignity
"I know the location of a Cloud Island with a tribe of Cloud Giants, over thirty grown giants like myself, and their leader is very powerful. They should satisfy you."
The male Cloud Giant Angus called out all his family members and willingly betrayed his kin after having a friendly exchange with the Golden Dragon, knowing the dragon’s goal. He deeply understood the truth of sacrificing others to save oneself.
After all, he didn’t have the courage to refuse the Golden Dragon before him, nor the silent human with black hair beside him, who seemed terrifying enough to give him the illusion that a single glance from him could kill them all.
"Where?"
In Noah’s dragon eyes, a light shone. Whether it was the floating Cloud Island or the tribe of Cloud Giants, both piqued his interest greatly.
This was a place only an adult Golden Dragon could explore. However, supported by his foster father, Noah was full of confidence and ambition.
"I am willing to take you there."
Angus immediately responded.
"Uncle?"
Noah turned to look at his foster father.
"Let’s go take a look."
No more words were needed. Noah once again transformed into a golden cat and leapt onto his foster father’s shoulder. This intimate gesture made the corner of Cloud Giant Angus’s eye twitch slightly, as he secretly guessed the relationship between this human and the Golden Dragon.
But more than that, Angus was speculating about this human’s strength; he could only perceive it as majestic as mountains, as vast as the earth, as boundless as the sky, and couldn’t sense exactly how strong he was.
He didn’t dare to ask. After bidding farewell to his wife and children, Angus took the terrifying human and the young Golden Dragon to the Cloud Island he knew.
It was a Secret Realm hidden deep within the mountains, with islands that resembled inverted mountains floating above the mountain ranges, enveloped in soft, swirling clouds that made it difficult to see their full form.
Even so, Noah, witnessing such a spectacular worldly scene for the first time, couldn’t help but express a sense of awe,
"So beautiful!"
Those were true islands hanging in the sky, with the only connection to the earth being the waterfalls cascading down from the mountains on the island and falling into the sea of clouds below. The silver curtain of water, reflecting the sun’s golden glow, seemed like a divine ribbon descending to the mortal world.
From a distance, it was a scene filled with peace and boundless beauty, but as they drew closer, the roc birds flying through the clouds and the battling pairs of Flying Dragons revealed the ferocity and cruelty of this place.
The creatures living in this area were, on average, one tier stronger than those in ordinary regions. Even Flying Dragons that dominated a region in the wilderness had to group together here.
When Noah and his foster father followed the lead of Cloud Giant Angus to get close to the outermost Cloud Island, they clearly felt the elements in the atmosphere becoming more active, and the magic power within him became jubilant under the influence of the external environment.
However, what Noah felt most distinctly was the change in his foster father, who was originally indifferent and cold, as if nothing in the world could catch his attention.
But as they approached this region, the man seemed to regain human emotions, returning to the mortal world, and his body "revived" with a sound like thunder rumbling from within him.
"Uncle, what’s wrong with you? Is there a problem here?"
Noah never hesitated to ask questions; he would speak up immediately if he had any.
"There are beings here worthy of my intervention."
Casius looked up at the highest island among the clouds. In his eyes, as calm as a still lake, ripples began to form, then transformed into blazing fire, burning with brewing war intent.
"Is there a Legend here?"
Noah suddenly looked towards the Cloud Giant leading the way ahead, and his gaze turned unfriendly.
"What Legend?"
Angus, who just wanted his kin to share some of the burden, felt the hostility coming from behind and instantly felt his scalp tingle, utterly bewildered, and quickly shouted,
"There are no legendary creatures here, I have no intention of harming you."
Even if his mind had a hole in it, he wouldn’t try to harm a young dragon guarded by at least an Ultimate Intent Realm human. What would he gain from that?
"No?"
The Lie Detection Technique is a talent of the Golden Dragons, and Noah could tell that this Cloud Giant before him wasn’t lying, but his foster father’s perception couldn’t possibly be wrong.
"I’ve been here several times, and I’ve never heard my kin mention any legendary creatures."
Angus hurriedly explained.
"Don’t blame him; that creature is still in a slumbering state. It probably hasn’t moved for a very long time."
Casius spoke up, stopping Noah from questioning the Cloud Giant any further.
"Are you a Legend?"
The Cloud Giant, finally catching a break, cautiously and carefully inquired.
"What else would I be?"
Noah retorted irritably; his perception of this Cloud Giant had already soured.
"Continue leading the way!"
Angus dared not say more and led the human Legend and the Golden Dragon to the largest Cloud Island. Armored Flying Dragons and flocks of Griffins flew by on either side, slightly restraining themselves and clearing a path for the visiting Cloud Giants.
"Hahaha, Angus, my best brother, it’s been less than three months since we last parted, how come you’re here again? Have you created another treasure?"
As Angus set foot on the Cloud Island, a familiar Cloud Giant came to greet him.
However, the attention of the welcoming Cloud Giant quickly shifted to Casius, and more Cloud Giants, under the pressure subtly emanating from him, couldn’t help but gaze at the man.
The golden cat lying on the foster father’s shoulder curiously surveyed the creations of the giants on the island. These structures built from massive wood and stone to match the size of the Cloud Giants, even the smallest one, could be considered a castle to humans.
"A human?"
A Cloud Giant let out a puzzled sound, seeming somewhat incredulous.
"How could a human come here?"
"Angus, why did you bring a human here?"
Faced with the inquiries from his kin, Angus had no choice but to seek help with a glance towards Casius and Noah.
"I asked him to bring me here because I want to recruit a group of Cloud Giants to serve me."
Noah revealed his true body, his elegant and noble dragon form displayed on the giant’s island. This indeed surprised many Cloud Giants, but the earlier statement hadn’t gained him any respect, as the young dragon’s size wasn’t enough to pose any effective intimidation to the Cloud Giants.
"Hahaha, what an amusing Little Golden Dragon!"
"Where are your parents?"
"So cute, truly the most elegant dragon!"
The good-natured jests and teasing by the giants didn’t have a chance to provoke Noah’s anger before they abruptly ceased because the man who brought the young dragon here also revealed his true form at this moment.
Golden lightning danced in the air, while the Cloud Giants, in comparison, were but fledgling beings; his towering form appeared, with storms brewing between the strands of his flowing black hair...
