His Obsession Began After Losing Her-Chapter 75: Drunken Shuri
Chapter 75 - Drunken Shuri
"Yes!" Suzy, Bora, and Kian quickly answered with enthusiasm.
"Absolutely not!" Karlene objected loudly, slamming her mug of beer on the table.
She had to see Noran every day because he constantly hovered around Shuri.
He even insisted on bringing Shuri to his apartment every night, claiming she couldn't sleep well without him.
Tonight was the only chance Karlene had to keep Shuri away from Noran, and she was determined not to let him ruin it by having him show up here.
Suzy sneered. "One person's objection doesn't matter. Majority rules, and we've got the majority."
Jin chimed in, "I'm not interested in meeting him either."
Karlene's expression brightened at the added support. "See, I'm not the only one against it now."
"It's three against two. We're still leading," Bora said smugly.
Karlene, unwilling to give in, looked at Juno. "Juno, you haven't voted. What's your choice?"
Juno adjusted his spectacles as he picked up a piece of lettuce. "I'm neutral."
Kian smacked Juno hard on the back, causing him to flinch and drop the slice of meat he was about to pick from the grill. "You're no fun, Juno!"
Then he turned to face the group. "Why don't we hold a drinking competition to decide on this?"
Bora clapped her hands together. "Great idea!"
Shuri glanced at her and said, "Are you sure about this, Bora? You're on duty tomorrow."
"Don't worry, I can hold my liquor well."
"You definitely can't beat me!" Karlene said, taking up the challenge.
"We'll see about that!" Bora accepted, grinning.
Suzy waved at the waitstaff and shouted, "Ten more bottles of soju over here, please!"
The waitstaff quickly responded to the order, bringing over the bottles and setting them on the table. The atmosphere was charged with excitement as everyone prepared for the impromptu drinking competition.
Shuri watched with a mix of amusement and concern, knowing how competitive her friends could get.
Only Jin and Juno held back, sipping their drinks cautiously. The rest were cheering and having fun, enjoying the lively atmosphere. Shuri glanced at the bottle of soju and quietly poured herself a glass.
She hadn't drunk in a long time, and since she didn't have work the next day, she thought there was no harm in indulging a little.
Tonight, she decided, she would let loose and have fun with her friends.
Jin continued to watch Shuri quietly.
Despite his recent hectic schedule, he had agreed to come tonight because he wanted to talk to Shuri about her engagement and, if possible, dissuade her from marrying.
However, he hadn't found the right moment to bring it up.
As he watched her down a glass of soju, he noticed her pretty face flushing a slight red.
His heart skipped a beat, realizing she looked even more beautiful with a blush.
Unlike other women in high society who dressed glamorously to impress, Shuri had a clean and pure look.
Her beauty was timeless and natural, with delicate features that seemed effortlessly perfect. Her skin was flawless, with a soft, radiant glow that needed no makeup to enhance.
Long, dark lashes framed her clear, expressive eyes, which sparkled with intelligence and warmth.
Her hair, silky and well-kept, cascaded down her back in gentle waves, adding to her ethereal charm. Shuri's smile was gentle yet captivating, lighting up her entire face and exuding a quiet confidence.
She was the epitome of understated allure, the type that every man would find appealing.
Jin had fallen for her at first sight, and his feelings for her deepened the more he got to know her.
To him, she was almost flawless, with her only flaw being her disinterest in the opposite sex—except for her current fiancé.
Thinking about her engagement, Jin picked up his glass of alcohol and downed it.
By the time he looked back at Shuri, she had already drunk three glasses, her face even redder and more alluring than before.
She seemed a little tipsy, her usually composed behavior giving way to a more childish and uninhibited attitude, as she began talking nonsense.
Shuri pointed at Bora, Suzy, and Kian, saying, "Hey, why are you all so interested in my Ran...? He's mine, you know?"
Then she turned to Karlene and pointed at her. "And you shouldn't always fight with Ran, okay?"
She patted Karlene on the head with a silly smile. "Hehe, Lene is a good girl..."
Everyone stopped drinking and stared at Shuri, who was clearly drunk.
Karlene saw the glasses of alcohol that Shuri had consumed and sighed.
She had been so busy having fun with her friends that she didn't realize how much Shuri had drunk.
Not good.
Her sister had very low alcohol tolerance, and when drunk would start behaving like a totally different person.
"Sis, you should stop drinking," Karlene said, stopping Shuri from reaching for another bottle.
"No! I want to drink more!" Shuri threw a tantrum, something no one had expected.
She reached for the other bottles nearby, and Karlene quickly ordered, "Guys! Keep all the alcohol away! Don't let my sister touch it!"
Her friends, who could handle alcohol well, were quick to comply.
Soon, besides the food, there was no more alcohol on the table.
"All of you are bullying me! I hate you, you, you!" Shuri exclaimed, pointing to each one of them.
Then, as soon as she stood up, her body began to sway.
Jin and Karlene got up quickly to support her.
"Go away!" She instinctively pushed them back and lost her balance, falling backward.
She landed against a firm chest, one she was very familiar with.
"Rin, why did you get yourself so drunk?"
Hearing the familiar gentle voice, Shuri immediately looked up, her face brightening with a big smile. "Kya!! My Ran! You're a gift from God! Sooo handsome!"
She shrieked like a fangirl and embraced him, stunning everyone.
The sudden appearance of Noran had already left them speechless, especially Suzy and Kian, who appeared starstruck.
"What are you doing here?" Karlene asked, looking unfriendly at Noran.
"To pick up my fiancée," Noran replied, sounding a little cold, as he embraced Shuri with one arm.
"You don't have to come to pick my sister up. I can bring her home!" Karlene retorted.
"I allow you to take Rin out for a night, and this is what happens? Do you think I can still trust you?" Noran was rather angry seeing Shuri drunk like that, but when he felt her rubbing her face against his chest, his anger died down.
"Ran, you smell so nice..." Shuri cooed as she nuzzled against his chest like a puppy, inhaling his scent deeply. Her warm breath filtered through the fabric, tickling him like a feather.
Noran, somewhat helplessly, placed his hand on her head while the rest of the group didn't know how to respond. Even the other patrons in the restaurant had stopped what they were doing and looked over with a mix of expressions.
Jin's expression darkened as he watched Shuri openly showing her affection to Noran. When Noran caught him staring, he looked directly at Jin, his eyes cold and calculating.
While still embracing Shuri with one hand, Noran reached into his pocket and pulled out a small item.
"She won't be needing this anymore," he spoke to Jin in a low voice, tossing the item to him.
Jin caught it by instinct and looked down with a frown, realizing it was the fragrant pouch he had given Shuri before.
His grip tightened around the pouch, feeling a mixture of anger and helplessness.
"Ran! Pay attention to me! Don't you love me anymore?" Shuri grumbled, placing both her hands on Noran's cheeks to make him face her when she noticed he was looking away.
"Of course, I love you, Rin," he said softly.
"Then, kiss me!" Shuri demanded.
Everyone gasped, even Karlene couldn't believe her usually composed and mature sister was behaving this way.
Unable to take it any longer, Karlene was about to step in and stop Shuri from acting crazy when Noran leaned down and kissed Shuri on her lips.
The public display of affection shocked everyone, and several patrons even took out their phones to capture the moment in photos and videos.
The group's reactions were mixed: Karlene looked frustrated, Suzy's eyes sparkled in excitement, Bora's jaw dropped, Kian let out a low whistle, and Juno adjusted his glasses. Jin's heart sank as he watched, feeling a pang of jealousy and defeat.
As Noran pulled away from the kiss, he smiled down at Shuri, who giggled and said, "I love you too, Ran."
"Let's go home," Noran said, his voice tender.
He then effortlessly lifted Shuri into a princess carry.
"Kya! I'm getting carried by Ran~!" Shuri shrieked in joy and nestled against him, looking blissfully content.
Without saying another word, Noran carried Shuri out of the restaurant, leaving the group stunned and speechless. The door closed behind them, and the murmurs and whispers among the other diners grew louder.
Once in the car, Noran ordered the driver to take them back to Riverpark Residence.
Shuri refused to get off his lap, clinging to him with a stubborn determination. She continued to talk nonsense and sometimes praised him, her hands wandering around his face and then to his body, messing up his clothes and causing him to react in a way he struggled to control.
It was Noran's first time seeing Shuri drunk, as she rarely drank.
He didn't know what to think of it.
Seeing how she couldn't stop giggling at him and expressing her love for him, he thought maybe it wasn't so bad to see her like this once in a while.
However, it was becoming increasingly difficult for him to hold back as she continued to caress him.
Shuri's hands roamed over his chest, her touch light but electrifying.
Noran's breath hitched as she moved lower, and he felt a growing heat in his body. His control was slipping, especially as she pressed herself closer to him, her breath warm against his neck.
When Shuri's hand began to slip into his pants, Noran quickly grasped her wrist.
"Rin, not now..." he tried to say, his voice strained.
But before he could finish, Shuri placed her hand over his mouth. Her soft palm carried a sweet scent that intoxicated him, making it hard to think clearly.
She leaned close to his ear, her lips curving into a mischievous smile.
"Shh, I know what I'm doing," she whispered seductively.
Then she grabbed onto his erection, her touch sending a jolt of pleasure through him. "Hehe, you're already so hard..." she giggled, her voice laced with a playful innocence that only made his desire stronger.
