I Got Reincarnated as a Zombie Girl-Chapter 130 – Clash of Spears and the Coming of the King
Chapter 130: Chapter 130 – Clash of Spears and the Coming of the King
BOOM!!!
A violent explosion erupted from Sofia’s impact site, blasting away hundreds of zombies within a ten-meter radius. The ground cracked open. Rotting corpses were hurled into the air like leaves caught in a storm some even burst into flames from the heat radiating off her body. Dust and mangled limbs flew, painting a grim apocalyptic scene.
High in the sky, Sylvia sat leisurely atop her zombie dragon, observing from a distance. The cold wind tossed her silver hair as a sharp red glow lit up her calm, yet curious, eyes.
"...She still manages to fall with style. Interesting."
Down below, Sofia rose from the small crater her fall had carved. Her body was slightly dusty, her clothes torn in several places, but her face... burned with blazing fury.
"SYLVIAAA!!" she screamed at the sky, her voice echoing loud enough to split the air and shake the earth.
The cry thundered across the battlefield, sending a ripple through the surrounding undead. But the remaining zombies gave her no time to vent her rage. They snarled and charged from all directions, dozens turning into hundreds. Their empty eyes, foul drooling mouths, and skeletal hands reached out like waves of destruction.
Sofia clenched her teeth. She spun her spear in one hand, and in an instant, a crimson aura burst from her body. Her breath caught for a moment. Her heart pounded not from fear, but exhilaration.
ZRAAASSHH!!
Her spear swept horizontally, unleashing a deadly arc of energy that tore through dozens of zombies at once. Black blood sprayed into the air. Their disgusting bodies fell in heaps, either cleanly sliced or scorched by the aura enveloping her weapon.
But more kept coming. ƒгeewёbnovel.com
"Hah... You think I’m afraid?!"
Sofia ducked under a zombie’s sharp claw, spun around, and drove her spear straight into its heart. Without pause, she dashed forward, whirling like a red storm. Every step was a slash, and every slash came with the cracking of bones and horrifying shrieks.
From above, Sylvia nodded slightly.
"Her movements are becoming smoother. She’s starting to get used to her power again."
Indeed, even surrounded, Sofia showed no fear. Her spear was an extension of herself. She struck, dodged, and weaved with precision that bordered on instinct. Her body flowed through the swarm of zombies like blood through a river of death.
But Sylvia noticed something odd. The zombies weren’t just piling in. There was a pattern now. They were taking formation as if trying to create space... or protect something.
"Hmm... Is he going to show himself... or keep hiding? Hardly worthy of the title ’king’ if all he does is lurk," Sylvia muttered coldly, her voice laced with disdain.
She narrowed her eyes and activated Appraisal. A red light flared in her vision as the world seemed to slow. And then she saw it a figure that stood out from the horde.
Something not quite someone slipping stealthily among the other zombies. Fast, nearly undetectable, but not fast enough to escape Sylvia’s gaze.
While Sofia was distracted in battle, the figure lunged, its long black claws extended toward her.
TING!!
The metallic clash rang out loudly.
Sofia froze for a second. In front of her, the dark claw had been halted by a Black chain that emerged from thin air like a celestial serpent.
From above, Sylvia’s calm voice followed.
"You’re truly a coward. Are all Zombie Kings like this?"
Sofia turned and saw the massive figure the Zombie King standing just a few meters away. His face was rotten, scarred, but his eyes... burned red with hatred and pain.
The zombie glared upward at Sylvia. His expression was full of rage and oddly, deep hurt.
"You’re one of us. Why protect that human?"
"Because I want to. Too complex for you to understand?" Sylvia replied flatly. "You’d be better off dead."
CLANK!!
In an instant, twelve red chains burst forth from empty air, lunging at the Zombie King like hungry serpents. They coiled, lashed, pierced, and choked moving as if they had minds of their own.
CLANK!! KRR!!! CLANK!!
The sounds of impact rang out again and again. Sylvia didn’t move an inch from atop her dragon. Only her chains danced through the sky, like instruments guided by the rhythm of her will.
"No elite subordinates? How pitiful. I’ve fought one of a Zombie King’s generals before... they were fairly strong. But you? A king who skulks like a rat?"
The king said nothing. He was too busy fending off the relentless storm of chains. For every one he blocked, two more struck from different angles. Panic began to show in his glowing eyes.
Sylvia looked at him with cold pity. "Truly pathetic."
Her final chain struck.
CRACK!!
His skull fractured. Red light flared from his eyes. His massive body staggered, then collapsed to the ground.
But there were still many zombies left. Yet they were nothing but ordinary undead. Sylvia watched them for a moment.
"Even if I tamed them, they might rebel. They were never mine to begin with."
CLICK
Sylvia snapped her fingers.
WHOOSH!!!
Black flames Nether Flame spread across the battlefield. The fire surged hungrily, reducing the remaining zombies to ashes. No screams. Only silent infernos and the stench of death. As the flames faded, all that remained were glowing red crystals scattered across the scorched earth.
Sofia looked up, furious.
"SYLVIA!!" she yelled, grabbing the front of Sylvia’s dress as she descended from the dragon.
"Don’t ever throw me like that again!"
"But... you’re stronger now, aren’t you?"
Sofia let out a long sigh, then gave a tired smile.
"Yes. But at least warn me first..."
They chuckled quietly together. The dragon landed beside them, lowering its head like a giant puppy, asking for a pat.
Sylvia stroked its scales and said lightly, "Come on. Two more to go. Let’s wipe out all the Zombie Kings today."
Sofia shook her head but didn’t refuse.
"You’re insane... but fine. Consider it training."
The two climbed onto the dragon’s back. The wind howled louder. The sky darkened with heavy clouds. The scent of storm and blood mingled in the air.
As they flew off into the distance, the battlefield below slowly sank into twilight shadows.
A new battle... and their date... was about to begin.
