I Was a Loner, but My Class Got Summoned to Another World…-Chapter 299: Proposal of Power
The next morning, Logan woke up feeling drained—as expected after a night with Lisa. Using magic, he quickly restored his energy, grateful that the spell required nothing more than channeling mana. As he did, he noticed the purity of the surrounding magic had intensified.
His gaze drifted across the room, where several mana crystals resembling bonsai trees had taken root. The sight reminded him of the effort Marie and Kryst had been putting into strengthening his kingdom, filling him with feelings of praise and appreciation.
His thoughts turned to his loveable slime and her new and improved form. He hadn't seen her the day before and wondered where she had been. Likely, she was with Serana in the lab, cultivating crystals alongside the towering, sentient mushrooms.
Refocusing on the present, Logan shifted his attention to Lisa, still fast asleep beside him. Knowing she was just as exhausted as he was when waking up, he gently placed a hand over her forehead and channeled rejuvenation magic—different from healing, designed specifically to restore stamina and mana. He concentrated on the spell, ensuring she reached peak form. As the energy settled, Lisa stirred, waking naturally as the last remnants of fatigue vanished.
"A strange way to wake up, but at least it feels like I had the best sleep in my life," Lisa murmured, burying her head against his chest.
Logan pressed a kiss to her soft hair and sighed, knowing the long day ahead was just beginning.
"We have to get up, Lizz. Everyone's probably waking up already, and I need to prepare my beasts for the fight," he said, sensing her reluctance.
"I know… but I just want to stay here with you a little longer," Lisa admitted, tightening her embrace.
"Yes, I want that too," Logan chuckled. "So let's defeat the demons quickly—then we can be together without worries."
He held her close for a few more moments before she finally loosened her grip. As Lisa sat up, her hair fluttered around her, and she ran her fingers through it absentmindedly. She let out one last yawn, stretching slightly, unaware of how effortlessly she captivated him. Logan forced himself to refocus—if he lingered any longer, he would run out of mana trying to use rejuvenation magic to get both of them back to the way they were now.
"Don't think I didn't notice," Lisa said with a smirk as Logan forced himself to get dressed, he was already putting on his socks.
"Yes, yes, don't keep flaunting your beautiful body, we need to leave within a few minutes" Logan said not wanting to succumb to temptation, hurriedly finished placing his comfortable shoes which adjusted themselves and gave Lisa a light kiss and then left in a hurry.
As he came downstairs he noticed Ruri watching over Freya who was already dressed with a long sleeved white blouse and pants that would let her move comfortably in battle, and yet her attire seemed to have been a size smaller then what she needed as they squeezed her perfectly curved body making Logan pretend he wasn't affected.
[As expected of an Enchantress,] Logan sent his words to the girl, smiling as he caught Freya's lingering gaze—brief, fleeting—before she turned away with a click of her tongue.
[Took you long enough. The rest of us are already eating. Don't waste any more of our time,] she said, her tone firm. The emotions she radiated still carried traces of rejection toward their bond. With that, she left.
Logan kissed Ruri, ensuring she wouldn't catch his wandering gaze, and let her embrace him—knowing she only did so because no other girls were around.
"I've been watching her, Master Logan, and so far, she hasn't shown any signs of trying to contact demons or anything suspicious," Ruri reported, rising onto her tiptoes for another kiss before slipping back into her role as his maid.
"That's good. Thank you, Ruri. I doubt she'll act rashly, but if you can keep an eye on her, it would help me," Logan replied, leaving his maid to her surveillance mission.
Descending the stairs, he found Ms. Claire sitting listlessly on a couch, slowly sipping from a cup of coffee.
"Ms. Claire? I didn't expect to see you here," Logan remarked, settling into a seat beside her. On the small table in front of them sat another cup and a kettle. He helped himself, carefully scooping a few sugar cubes from a small dish and stirring them into his drink.
"Logan… Ugh, sorry, I was lost in thought. I really needed this coffee. Oh, and thanks for letting me stay here," Claire said, her voice carrying a weight that made Logan wonder if she was truly alright.

"Don't worry about that, we need to stick together, right? And… this place has more rooms than I can count. Now, what happened, Ms. Claire? I know everything has affected us differently, but I also understand that being the leader of the class makes things even harder for you," Logan said, moving a little closer. With a subtle gesture, he conjured a magic bubble to cancel out the surrounding noise, knowing she might not want to speak too loudly.
"It's that obvious, huh? Sorry… but yes. Alma's death—and the pain of her resurrection—made me question whether we're really doing the right thing by joining this senseless war. Losing two students only reinforced that doubt," Claire admitted, her expression distant. "I don't feel strong, Logan. I know you're holding up well, but how much longer can we continue like this? I was second to last in getting my job change after reaching level 40 making me one of the weakest right now, and if I stagnate at level 80 which trying to change my class… What then? Will we really be able to defeat the demons like this?"
Her voice wavered, her eyes reddening as she tried to suppress the emotions threatening to spill over.
"Ms. Claire, you said it yourself at the start, right? We all have a role here. If only we had worked together and trained in earnest from the beginning, we wouldn't be in the situation we are now. But you also know how bad Brian and his crew were… Think of it as a wake-up call we needed. Now, we have the chance to fix things and grow stronger, right?" Logan paused, letting his words sink in.
"As for your job change, I want to help everyone just as they're helping me this time. We need to start working together, and for that, we need you to lead us in the right direction. We can't change the past, but we can shape the future. If you guide us, you can ensure the rest of us don't repeat the same mistakes. I believe you'll gain the strength to do so with your next class change. And as for feeling weak, I'll help you grow stronger—whether it's through training or assisting with your quest."
Logan spoke with conviction, then summoned a drop of his own blood, holding it out to Claire.
"I don't know if you want to do this, but if you're seeking more power, this will give you just that, Ms. Claire. You know my class drives both monsters and humans into evolution… So, what do you say? Will you take this offer?"
He waited, watching her carefully, uncertain whether she would accept.
