I'm Trapped Inside a Prince as the Most Powerful Entity-Chapter 126: Unlikely Alliance
Chapter 126: Unlikely Alliance
Adam however paid little attention to Void’s compliment. His focus was singular.
His objective was clear. He turned his back on the downed upperclassmen the two boys from the Golden Team who were now lying on the ground.
And he once again faced the crowd of first-year students. His expression was confident and assured. He looked like a leader.
He spread his arms wide.
It was a gesture that was both an invitation and a declaration of his strength. "As you have just seen with your own eyes," he announced.
His voice rang with a newfound authority a power that resonated across the entire courtyard.
It was impossible to ignore him.
"I can protect all of you from any danger. From any threat. If you join my group The New Warriors you will be under my protection. No one will bully you. No one will force you to do anything you do not wish to do."
His words hung in the air. It was a tantalizing offer a tempting promise of security and safety in this clearly hostile environment.
Yet despite the impressive display of power they had just witnessed despite seeing Adam and Void so easily defeat the upperclassmen many of the first-year students still hesitated.
They were still afraid.
Doubt and fear were deeply ingrained in them from the upperclassmen’s initial brutal demonstration with Kado.
That fear was not so easily dispelled not so easily erased. They exchanged uncertain glances with one another.
The idea of openly defying the established powerful factions was still a very terrifying prospect.
A short distance away Kado the defiant green-haired martial artist was still on the ground.
He had pushed himself up into a sitting position watching everything.
He had seen the entire exchange.
He saw Adam and Void so effortlessly dismantle the upperclassmen who had so brutally humiliated him just minutes before. He now looked at Adam with a new expression on his face.
A flicker of hope a spark of grudging respect was in his defiant green eyes.
He was impressed by Adam’s strength and his courage.
His gaze then shifted to the two upperclassmen who had been assigned to guard him.
Their attention like everyone else’s was momentarily fixed on the unfolding drama between Adam and the other students.
Their faces were a mixture of shock at their comrades’ easy defeat and a simmering impotent anger. They were distracted.
This momentary distraction this brief lapse in their attention was all the opportunity Kado needed. He was a trained fighter. He knew how to seize an opening.
Seizing the opening Kado exploded into motion. With a sudden acrobatic flip he sprang to his feet from his sitting position.
Before his two guards could even register his movement before they could react he spun around.
He lashed out with a powerful spinning kick. It was aimed at the boy who was standing right beside him.
He poured all his pent-up rage all the humiliation he had just endured into this single retaliatory strike.
He kicked with all the speed and all the strength he could muster. It was a vicious act of payback.
The kick connected squarely with the side of the upperclassman’s head. The impact was brutal.
The guard was sent stumbling sideways.
He crashed heavily to the ground. He wasn’t knocked unconscious like the others.
But he was clearly dazed. He was clutching his head in agony unable to get up.
The second guard the one who had been standing just behind Kado reacted instantly to his partner’s fall. He was not distracted anymore.
He lunged forward. His speed was impressive. He intended to subdue Kado once more to put him back on the ground.
But Kado was already prepared.
He was a smart fighter. He had anticipated the second attack.
He dropped low to the ground. He ducked under the guard’s lunging grasp.
And in the same fluid motion he swept his leg back. It was a powerful rising kick. It was aimed directly at the charging student’s midsection at his stomach.
The force of the blow was amplified it was made stronger by the guard’s own forward momentum by his own charge.
The kick landed with a sickening thud. It drove the air from the student’s lungs in a loud gasp.
He doubled over a look of pure agony on his face. He collapsed to the ground wheezing and clutching his stomach in pain. He couldn’t breathe.
Having dealt with his two tormentors so quickly and efficiently Kado didn’t hesitate.
He didn’t stop to admire his work. He burst into a sprint. His powerful legs carried him across the courtyard with incredible speed. He leaped landing gracefully beside Adam and Void.
These two figures now represented a tangible a real form of rebellion against the Academy’s oppressive hierarchy against the cruel system of the upperclassmen.
Everyone’s attention which had been on Adam now snapped to Kado.
The defiant first-year had just single-handedly taken down two of the upperclassmen who were guarding him. It was an impressive feat.
Adam who had still been facing the first-year students also turned to look at the newcomer the green-haired boy who had so boldly and so violently joined him.
Kado looked at Adam. His green eyes were still burning with a fierce untamed fire.
But now there was something else in them too. There was respect. "I’m with you for now," Kado growled. His voice was still raspy from his earlier ordeal when he had been punched in the stomach.
"But don’t think for a second that this means I’ve joined your group. I don’t join groups."
Adam simply looked at Kado. A slow knowing smile spread across his face. He understood Kado’s pride his defiance. And he welcomed it.
The rebellion was growing. It had started with just him.
Then Void had joined. And now Kado had made his stand. Things were getting interesting. The other first-years were watching.
Their fear was now mixed with a new feeling. It was a feeling of hope. A feeling that maybe just maybe things could be different.
