Infinite Paths: The Raging Phoenix-Chapter 1480: Reverse Digitalized
Chapter 1480: Reverse Digitalized
The parts of the monster began to fall apart since its core was damaged, and that wasn’t all...
The Skill Limit Breaker received 5.000 experience points.
The Skill Apex Furty received 5.000 experience points.
The Skill Swordsmanship received 5.000 experience points.
...
"I still can use skills that use stamina..." Rain thought. "In that case... this will be interesting."
Rain used Charged Punch and then attacked the fallen parts of the enemy and made it collide against several others. As they trembled, Rain kicked the air and approached the enemies that had been hit and then pierced their cores.
The Skill Limit Breaker received 5.000 experience points.
The Skill Apex Furty received 5.000 experience points.
The Skill Swordsmanship received 5.000 experience points.
...
All of a sudden, Rain stopped hearing the weird sound when he punched another monster, and then the creature disintegrated in the air as if it had been erased molecule by molecule.
"It appears that you also can enhance your body strength by using your vital force instead of just the spiritual one. This kind of technique was slowly developing on that planet five hundred years ago. Considering the data, it shouldn’t have progressed this much."
"Who asked?" Rain asked. "I am tired of your games, dude. Let’s solve this from man to rusty machine. You will obtain a lot more data by facing me directly instead of sending your broken toys. They can’t keep me entertained.
Rais didn’t say anything... It was very annoying when the opponent didn’t react to the taunts. Rain wondered if he was getting rusty or if he needed to update his repertoire when it came to that. Regardless, those weird machines were teleported away since Rain found their weakness, and Rais could tell that they wouldn’t be of any use. Still, he wasn’t going to give up that soon.
"This should be enough information about you."
As Rain’s feet touched solid ground, he couldn’t shake the feeling that something was amiss. Before him, just a few meters away, a strange and unsettling sight unfolded. An exact copy of himself began to materialize as if emerging from the fabric of reality itself.
But this was no ordinary duplication. Instead, it felt like Rain was witnessing something out of a science fiction tale, a scene straight out of a virtual world. The copy of himself was being digitized pixel by pixel, its form slowly taking shape before his very eyes.
As each pixel coalesced and formed, the copy of Rain grew more distinct, its features mirroring his own with eerie precision. It was a surreal and disconcerting sight, one that left Rain feeling as though he had stepped into a realm where reality and illusion blurred together in strange and unexpected ways.
For a moment, Rain stood frozen in place, his mind racing as he tried to make sense of what he was seeing. Was this some kind of illusion? A trick of the mind? Or was there something more sinister at play?
"Just when I can talk again, something unbelievable happens..." Elisabetha said. "His domain over his aspect can influence reality to this point..."
The copy even have a replica of the ominous sword... it probably didn’t have a soul inside like Elisabetha, but that didn’t matter that much since her power was better against dragons.
When the copy opened its eyes, it soon charged toward Rain and swung the sword... Rain blocked it with the ominous sword, but numerous wounds in the shape of lines appeared in his hands...
"That reflecting damage effect..." Rain thought.
Rain could tell that the copy and himself had the same level of strength... that was the kind of thing Rais would pull, but he also added some tweaks to make things easier for the copy.
The copy jumped backward and then suddenly assumed a one-handed stance... that wasn’t something that Rain ever did; even though the sword was quite long, it was light.
The copy kicked the ground and then charged at Rain before swinging the sword... Rain raised his weapon to block the attack, but much to his surprise, the replica completely passed through the ominous sword and then slashed Rain’s chest.
The burning pain and the shock made Rain open his eyes widely... but he soon jumped backward and avoided the next attack... blood began to fall from the large wound, but the cut had been relatively not so deep for some reason. Rain soon confirmed the reason for that... his tensed muscles, thanks to the effects of the Limit Breaker and Apex Fury, acted as a shield against the sword... However, they suffered some damage as well.
"Another special skill, huh?" Rain thought. "A sword skill that makes the weapon become intangible for a moment."
Rain was well-versed in the magic that allowed him to make himself intangible, to phase through solid objects with ease. However, the idea of extending this ability to others was something that had never occurred to him.
And yet, here was the copy of himself, demonstrating this very skill with apparent ease. It was a testament to the ingenuity and adaptability of whatever force or entity was responsible for its creation.
But as Rain considered this revelation, a sobering thought crossed his mind. It takes two to tango, as the saying goes. While the copy may possess the ability to make itself intangible, Rain knew that he would need to be equally adept at navigating this new aspect of their encounter if he hoped to emerge victorious.
The enemy soon charged at Rain once more in order not to give him time to think, but it hadn’t moved fast enough... Rain mimicked the copy’s movements and attacked while holding the sword with a single hand... the weapon of the copy passed through the ominous sword, but the ominous sword was about to hit the copy as well. Since it was only a copy, it didn’t hesitate to die as long as Rain died as well...
