Chapter 1497: Fast approaching

Everyone looked at each other in silence... they had no idea what they should do regarding that. Moreover, with their expressions, it was clear that they didn’t have confidence in their decision making... They were feeling the same way Rain felt a while ago about taking the leadership of the group in any shape or form.

"For now, you all should just wait inside my pocket dimension and rest, I will buy some time with the temporal aspect," Rain said. "Now that my head has cooled down a bit. I have some ideas that can help the group, so make good use of it."

Before anyone could say anything, Rain teleported everyone to his pocket dimension. When they arrived there, they confirm that things had changed quite a bit since the last time... the place looked more like an advanced city than before. The former lords were training their skills on rings, they were also testing their abilities on mirrors that checked and calculated the quality of their attacks, and there was actually, a ground, and a sky there.

With the information path, Rain could essential transform his pocket dimension into anything that he wanted... it was almost like a virtual world. That was because Rais had the knowledge to affect reality. While he didn’t have all the information about the aspects, he had more information about all of them if compared to other machine gods.

"... As usual, he sure is working fast," Terra said. "Still, he is working too hard. He also should come here to buy time."

"He can’t since the dragon god can use this chance to attack," Sakaki explained. "The overseer probably wants to avoid us now more than ever because the dragon god probably already mastered the void and space aspects."

When everyone heard that... they realized the truth. Everyone with the right knowledge and the high enough parameters could obtain those parts and since the overseer wasn’t playing favorites, he should be learning the information aspect right at that moment.

"With those skills, he should be able to destroy a pocket dimension and everything in it," Sakaki explained. "The only way the pocket dimension can’t be targeted is when the caster is outside it."

Before long, Iori joined them as well... that was weird since they thought that they would act the same way as before. Still, it seemed that Rain had other plans.

"... He said that we have already lost a lot of manpower, so I will have to join the fight as well," Iori said. "I suppose we are on the last push, so it is only obvious."

"Anyway, what should we focus on training for now?" Esmeralda asked. "I bet that Rain can buy us a few days."

"He told me to focus on leveling up Limit Breaker and the skills of the aspects," Iori replied. "I don’t know how, but this place will apparently help with that."

Iori also explained about the transcendental human and since everyone could obtain variations from that, it would be fine even if they weren’t one hundred human or even any percent human. Soon, they tried that and noticed that it was true, somehow.

"What is the plan?" Elisabetha asked. "You need a break, but I guess you won’t rest until all this is done. We also need to check where Arel is, after all."

"I already know, I obtained all the knowledge and experience of the machine god of information, remember?" Rain asked. "Considering the speed of this planet and it’s location and the location of the other places. It seems that we have three days of real time. Not nearly enough to do much, but I will make the most out of it."

"What are the plans?" Elisabetha asked.

"First of all, I have to even the battlefield," Rain said. "Hey, dumbass. If you truly want to get the best outcome, you should at least do your work properly. I am pretty sure that you aren’t this slow when you are doing something favorable to the dragon god."

"... Are you talking to the overseer? How can you tell that he is hearing?" Elisabetha asked. "I also don’t think that it is a good idea to try to annoy him."

"You were saying..." Rain said.

"I guess he is keeping an eye on you two..." Elisabetha said. "In any case, I was expecting more of him."

"You can expect things like pride or decency from him, his only goal is the survival of our species," Rain shrugged. "Even if the dragon god has to hide and use cowardly tactics, as long as he is the last one standing and the overseer’s plans take place, then he won’t mind the methods."

That was why Rain could insult the overseer and not worry about it... the overseer didn’t have his own sense of self and pride. Much like the machine gods, the overseer was entity that didn’t live like a normal human, expecting human behavior from them was insane.

The only thing the overseer had that could be considered human was its survival instincts... that was why he was so annoying to deal and interact with. There was nothing else more important for him to survive and he would try to do that, even if he had to live like a coward.
