Chapter 1502: Get serious

Little by little, the attacks began to get closer, and Rain’s suffering increased... he wondered if Fortus was helping Arel, but it was a bit too soon to confirm or deny that.

"You have gotten plenty stronger since the last time... I knew that you had a small chance against some of them, but to think that you would be able to defeat three of the machine gods. You have my praise for it."

"Nah, I am fine," Rain said while he was avoiding the attacks and absorbing as much energy as possible. "You can keep your praise to yourself."

"You think that copying me at such a level will be enough to win this?"

"Why don’t you ask Fortus?" Rain asked. "I bet that you use them like someone used star signs to tell how your day will be. Come on, let’s do this. Show yourself, are you a man, or did you lose your balls somewhere?"

"Technically, machine gods don’t have a gender, but I feel more comfortable thinking of myself as she. Thanks to that, I will crush you like the insect you are before you get any closer."

All of a sudden, Rain felt danger coming from his back, but before he could turn or do anything else, he was hit by a massive blast of fire...

Rain’s body began to burn almost instantly, but out of reflex, he teleported away from the attack and escaped with his life... still, a fraction of a second of the attack consumed half of his health.

"Shit... I thought that I had gotten stronger, but this level of attack is simply..." Rain thought as he felt his muscles burning.

As Arel observed Rain’s injuries, she was taken aback by the remarkable speed at which his wounds began to heal. To her surprise, it became apparent that Rain was utilizing the information and matter aspects in a unique way, harnessing their combined power to recreate and repair the damaged cells in his body.

Witnessing this display of mastery over the fundamental building blocks of existence, Arel couldn’t help but be impressed by Rain’s resilience and resourcefulness. Despite the intense pain he must have been experiencing, he demonstrated an extraordinary level of control and precision in his manipulation of the aspects, orchestrating the intricate dance of matter and energy within his own body to facilitate rapid healing.

As the wounds gradually closed and faded away, Arel marveled at Rain’s newfound abilities, realizing that he possessed a depth of understanding and command over the aspects that surpassed even her own expectations...

Rain raised his guard since he didn’t expect that the attacks could move in such an arc, but while looking around, he soon confirmed that the attacks didn’t move like that. Something else had happened... fгeewebnovёl.com

"The suns..." Rain said.

"Not bad, you guessed pretty fast."

Rain knew the map of the enemy territory, so he could tell where the suns would be located... it seemed that Arel could control all of them to some extent. When one of her attacks was absorbed by one of the suns, they could reflect the attack to another direction like a mirror trick.

It was hard to call that magic... it would be more accurate to say that it was like controlling the very forces of the universe to make things happen at their own will. As the planets got closer, dodging such attacks would be difficult, and Arel would have more access to even more energy... Rain hoped that the machine gods would stop that by revealing himself, but it looked like things wouldn’t be so simple. Still, at least Lonos and Fortus didn’t feel like revealing themselves as long as Rain fought alone and the dragon god didn’t do anything.

Upon realizing that Rain wouldn’t be hit by simple tricks, Arel decided to increase the level of difficulty for him a bit. Just like all the other machine gods, she was planning to take things slowly, only increasing her attacks by one level or so... she had some time to kill until the dragon god launched his attacks and she also didn’t want to show him too much.

Arel could tell that Rain was struggling a lot more to use the power of the aspects if compared to the dragon god... the reason was obvious: he didn’t feel like throwing away for power. No matter what happens, Rain isn’t willing to sacrifice his family and friends for anything.

While thinking along those lines, Arel made several blasts of fire across the vacuum of space toward Rain. When he avoided them, he suddenly felt danger for his life and then teleported once again. When Rain looked to the side, he saw the blast returning to the giant red star, and he also felt a spatial distortion.

When Rain looked back in his previous location, he didn’t see anything out of the norm and the sensation of the spatial distortion vanished, but it was clear that Arel could also use a bit of space magic to change the directions of her attack... she wasn’t going to make that too obvious, though.

"I am fully healed... considering the energy that I used to repair my body, I still have twenty percent of the energy that I absorbed at that moment," Rain thought when he saw the next attack coming. "Since she is acting like the other retards, perhaps I should use this chance and ignore the pain by clenching my teeth."

Rain didn’t know how much time he had... so he made his choice. He opened his hands and then moved them backward, then he pushed them forward with all his might when the massive blast of power was about to hit him.

The blast of Rain’s own attack collided with enemies. and then the flames began to spread in all directions. Rain began to absorb the energy around, but the attack with all his might only repelled half of the blast... the other half hit him.
