Infinite Wealth System: Crazy Tasks, Insane Rewards!-Chapter 49: Plan B
Chapter 49: Plan B
If Jayden was told he was in a dream, he would have easily believed this... Because, this indeed looked like a dream.
That woman, pale-skinned...
Short dark-haired...
A slight visible scar on her wrist.
It had been fourteen years since he last saw her, but he could recognize her clearly...
Jayden’s jaw dropped.
What was the woman that abandoned him at the age of nine doing here?
Was this what Kurtis had told him he wouldn’t afford to miss?
Jayden was totally lost in different thoughts, as he couldn’t let his eyes off her.
She rushed towards him with tears enveloping her eyes, throwing a hug...
"Don’t! Don’t even dare!" Jayden quickly declined, his voice as harsh as it could be.
"Jay... Jayden, I’m so sorry..." She began to plead, putting on a very innocent look on her face.
Jayden gave her a glance and turned to the rest of the people sitting in the living room.
In an instant, he turned back to her.
"Don’t... Don’t you ever, get on my way again," Jayden said and raised his head to Kurtis.
"You think this was going to take me? Really?" Jayden scoffed. "Well, I guess you just made the opposite..."
"I’m avenging Mr. Emerson Cole myself. Good luck with your plans," Jayden said as he glared at them before walking away.
Entering his car to drive away, he couldn’t help the tears that began to pour from his eyes. The remembrance of everything... Absolutely everything that had happened to him after his father’s death.
Naylah, his mother, left him when he was just nine. It was during the time his father died in jail... Naylah just couldn’t bear whatever that would come after the fall of her husband, and had to leave, leaving Jayden to a poor storekeeper who died three years after.
Jayden was ten then, and was later forwarded to the orphanage until he was eighteen. Imagine living in the orphanage home when you actually have a mother...
Jayden spent all the young days of his life like a sinner in hell, and even when he became independent, the test of hell never stopped.
In fact, it doubled.
At some point, he thought about it and concluded that his mother was just another gold-digger who married his father for the money and had to leave when things went wrong.
That was a fact, but there was something he couldn’t help wondering every single time.
"Why would a mother abandon her only child for many years without even caring to check up on him?"
It was as if she was dead, and truly Jayden was already considering that certain thought.
Until today, there in the Vanes villa, he saw her, now older than her former beautiful and gorgeous self, having the guts to approach him after all she had caused him.
Jayden had made himself clear...
’I’ll never forgive her...’
He headed straight back to the penthouse. When he got back, Camilia was already awake and was waiting for him in the living room.
Jayden walked in with a cold face, and she quickly noticed it, approaching him with a worried look.
"Jayden, where have you been? Why are you looking that way?" She asked.
Jayden stayed silent until he settled on a seat. He only told her that he had an emergency call from the office and had to rush over, but she was clearly smart enough to detect that that wasn’t the cause of his moody approach.
She persuaded him for a while before he opened up. He told her everything and how she left him, how his father was blackmailed and killed allegedly, too.
He told her not because she persuaded him, but because she was the best woman he had met yet... He might not have spent much time with Camillia, but somehow, he just couldn’t describe why he felt something so different about her unlike the rest.
He couldn’t explain it.
"So, what do you do now?" She asked after he had explained everything.
"I became an orphan since the day my father died. I’ll continue living my life that way until the end," Jayden said with a serious tone, and it totally sounded like nothing would change his mind from forgiving his mother.
Camilia was not in the right occupation to advise him on anything at the moment, at least not now, so she only had to make him feel better.
...
After having sex with her, Jayden already dosed her Affection to 66%, which was quite over the threshold to tame her completely.
Camilia’s act towards him already manifested that quality, and of course, he wouldn’t say he wasn’t seeing the effects of his attributes.
Especially the Charm and Influence — they showed real works in almost every activity he did.
And with that, he could actually keep boasting that he was making good progress in his great ambition.
{VIREX Coin rate: $30,000}
New massive increase on VIREX Coin, but still the system asked him to wait up. Jayden obeyed without hesitation, and just then he was believing that there would be a consistent increase in the coins.
Soon enough, he would become a billionaire!
He couldn’t get these thoughts off his head, and indeed many things had made him do so.
He knew that with such wealth, he would be strong enough to avenge his father... And that... That would only be the start of his domination.

"You fool!!! You have certainly ruined our plans! What an idiot of a son!"
Silas was totally exasperated after what happened...
Yes, the mother he referred to as "She is on her way" was Naylah, Jayden’s mother.
Luka thought he had made a smart move in getting her into the plan to draw Jayden as well, but he had clearly ruined it.
Bad thing was that he never knew that Naylah actually left Jayden. He thought she left for her hometown and let Jayden pursue his career in the city, but that was wrong.
Now it was clear that Jayden was out of topic. With the way he spoke to her, one could measure the clear sincerity in his voice. He never sounded like someone who would ever forgive her.
"Calm down, Silas. Luka was just trying to help... We’ll surely find another way," Kurtis said, trying to cool the boiling anger of the man disappointed in his son.
"Don’t tell me to calm down! He ruined everything. We could actually talk him into the plan ourselves if we try hard, and then this son of a bitch went ahead to make his plans behind our backs!" Silas shouted, still roughly angered.
Luka sat there, speechless, his jaw dropped.
Naylah already left in tears moments after Jayden dashed out, leaving only the Vanes in their master living room.
"Trust me, brother. We can find a way out of this. We just have to calm down and think. Luka fucked up, I know, but we also have to understand that he is just a young man trying to help his father get revenge," Kurtis said, heaving a soft sigh.
Silas finally decided to calm down as he settled in his chair, but he couldn’t still help the stern glances on his son.
Luka would only stare back without saying a word, like a lost, innocent sheep. But indeed he knew he messed things up.
"Phew... Now we have to find a way... A better plan," Kurtis sighed.
Kurtis seemed to think about something for a moment and smiled. Silas wasn’t ready for those empty plans he often brings, but they had no choice.
Whatever that was happening, giving up from dealing with Gregory Kingsley was not an option for Silas Vane.
He was ready to do anything at all, even though it’d take time and even money.
All he wanted was the fall of the Kingsleys and his rise over all tycoons in Cloudbridge City. With that, he would be satisfied.
After thinking wide for quite a while, Kurtis smiled then.
Of course, he would always smile when he got an idea, but they always ended up failing... This was applicable not just to their current planning, but to some other things.
Thus, Silas wasn’t moved by that smile, but he was all ears.
"Naylah is his mother, right? That makes her the wife of Mr. Emerson Cole, right? Why don’t we just convince her to join us and ignore Jayden? After all, he was still little when it all happened... His wife could be a very big weapon," Kurtis said, still maintaining the cheeky smile.
Silas’s face brightened. He thought about that himself and nodded. He couldn’t tell how he hadn’t thought about that all this while, but he figured it might be because he was madly angered by his son.
"That... Great..." Silas commented, his eyes brightening the more.
Naylah was indeed of good use, as she was the wife of Emerson Cole. If they really could get her into it, the job would definitely be completed.
"Luka, what do you think?" Kurtis smiled and asked.
"Uhh... Nice. At least that was my plan before some crazy drama came up," Luka said and stood up and walked away.
Kurtis laughed and looked at his brother who had a complex countenance.
"Just give him time... There’s a hot strategist inside of him," Kurtis spoke confidently.
Sometimes, it even feels like Kurtis was Luka’s father...
