Chapter 120: Chapter 120: The Buddha King of Great Virtue and Great Power

The more people believed in him, the wider the spread of the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon, and the more people could acquire this Divine Ability.

Over time, the situation in Xiniuhe Continent would definitely change.

A single spark can start a prairie fire!

...

......

Engrossed in propagating the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon, Jiang Chen was unaware that in the moment the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon was born, the Tathagata Buddha, seated on the Lotus Throne in the Great Thunderclap Temple on Spiritual Mountain, abruptly lifted his head.

A burst of divine light emanated from his eyes as he looked towards the unknown void.

Just now, this Buddha, as steady as the earth itself, had been astounded.

Because in his perception, the fate of the Buddhist door, which had been calm for many years, began to shake. It was just like when the Buddha’s door was first opened, and all the Buddhas were born.

This was a sign of the birth of a new Buddha!

But...how could this be possible?

Thinking of this, the Tathagata Buddha glanced at the faces of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas seated below him, but none of them bore any signs of becoming Buddhas.

"Is it not them?"

At this point, the Buddha was even more puzzled. All the masters of the Buddhist Door were on Spiritual Mountain. If a new Buddha was to be born, he must be among them.

But he failed to see any sign of any individuals becoming Buddhas. This shows that the soon-to-be-born new Buddha is not from the Buddhist Door.

If he is not from the Buddhist Door, then who could he be?

The sudden turn of events had roused ripples in the Buddha’s heart.

The birth of each Buddha was no small matter to the Buddhist door, let alone the imminent birth of a new Buddha who could resonate with the Buddhist Fate.

He would certainly be a top-tier Buddha.

Thinking of this, the Buddha reopened his wise eyes, peered into the Fate of the Buddhist Door, and tried to find traces of the newborn Buddha.

But the result, no doubt, disappointed the Buddha. He saw nothing.

Just at this moment, everyone started calling Jiang Chen the Bodhisattva of the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon, intending to construct a Buddhist temple for him.

For a while, the atmosphere in the Buddhist door was affected, causing a tremor once again.

With the slightest illusion, the Buddha continued to observe with his wise eyes and vaguely discerned a majestic Heavenly Dragon with a treasure at the tip of its horn, freely roaming around Sumeru Mountain, safeguarding the beings within this realm.

"Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon, Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon Myōō, Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon Bodhisattva, Great Majestic King Buddha, Great Virtue, Great Majestic King Buddha."

In an instant, the Buddha understood the title of the new Buddha, the Great Virtue, the Great Majestic King Buddha.

Great Virtue, Great Majestic King Buddha!

This is the most supreme Buddha in the Buddhist door, second only to the Tathagata Buddha who is the lord of tens of thousands of Buddhas. He is revered as much as the Great Sun Tathagata and the Medicine Master Tathagata.

However, while the Buddha knew of the existence of the Great Virtue, the Great Majestic King Buddha, he did not know his true origin.

The Buddha was only aware that the Great Virtue, the Great Majestic King Buddha, was still undergoing tribulations and his merits were not yet complete. It was not yet time for him to emerge.

As for the other details, the Buddha did not know.

An attempt was made to protect the Great Virtue, the Great Majestic King Buddha from being strangled in his cradle. The fate of the Buddhist door spontaneously hid his origin. Even the powerful Tathagata Buddha could not glimpse a fraction of the truth.

...

"Oh, my Buddha, has anything happened?" Seeing the Buddha’s furrowed brows, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara asked.

Hearing this, the Buddha relaxed his brows and laughed, "It is fair to let you all know that there will be a joyous event in the Buddhist Door soon."

At these words, not only was Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara curious, but the other Bodhisattvas present were also very curious. Bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta, the closest one to the Buddha, asked, "May I ask my Buddha, from where does this joy come?"

The Buddha explained with a smile, "Just now, I united my spirit with heaven and earth and saw a hint of fate in the darkness. The Buddhist door will soon welcome a new King Buddha."

"Isn’t that a joyous event?"

Hearing this, all the Bodhisattvas clapped their hands and praised, "Amitabha! Indeed, it’s a great joy."

At the time when the West Journey is about to start, and another King Buddha is to be born, isn’t this a sign of the rise of the Buddhist Door? As members of the Buddhist Door, if the Buddhist Door could flourish, they would all benefit and naturally be overjoyed.

At that moment, Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara stood up and said, "Indeed, the time for the great rise of our Buddhist Door has come. As the Fate soars day by day, it has even bred a King Buddha."

"However, I wonder what the origin of this King Buddha is?"

The Buddha considered it for a moment and replied, "This King Buddha, the most divine, the most saintly, the most virtuous, the most great, possesses great divine powers and great magical powers, can subdue all demons and ghosts in the world, and can eliminate all sins."

"Wrapped in the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon, he is called the Great Virtue, the Great Majestic King Buddha. He saves the world in a vast calamity, enlightens people amidst the tumultuous world, universally delivers all beings, and achieves the highest fruit position."

Hearing this, all the Bodhisattvas stood up, praised, "I pay homage to the Great Virtue, the Great Majestic King Buddha. May he live long, may he radiate boundless light."

After paying their respects, someone asked, "Where is the Great Virtue, the Great Majestic King Buddha now?"

The Buddha remained silent and after a long pause, he finally said, "The King Buddha is going through tribulations now, and I too do not know his whereabouts. However, guided by Heaven’s will, I believe it won’t take long before the King Buddha returns."

"There is no need for us to worry about the affairs of the Great Virtue, the Great Majestic King Buddha. All of you should carry out your own responsibilities. When the time is ripe, I, along with all other Buddhas, will jointly welcome the arrival of the King Buddha."

Afterwards, everyone recited a Buddha’s name in unison, then they fell silent again.

Serenity also returned to the Spiritual Mountain.

Meanwhile, Jiang Chen, the instigator of all this, had no idea about what was happening on the Spiritual Mountain because he was busy preaching his doctrine.

...............

After rescuing the populace of a city again and killing the man-eating yaksha, Jiang Chen imparted the Dharma of the Great Majestic Heavenly Dragon and left without hesitation, heading for the next place.

The Human Race in Xiniuhe Continent was living in dire straits, waiting for Jiang Chen’s rescue. If he delayed a moment more, the sentient beings would have to suffer even more, how could he dare to rest?

On his way, Jiang Chen suddenly stopped, his expression filled with surprise and uncertainty. Just now, he suddenly felt a mysterious force coming from the void, blessing him.

Just for an instant, Jiang Chen felt as though his perspective had been elevated indefinitely. At the same time, his heart became extremely indifferent to everything.

It was as if he were a supreme God, overlooking everything in the world.

Under this state, Jiang Chen’s understanding of the Great Dao and Heaven and Earth undoubtedly became clearer, and with a flicker of thought, he could enter a state of enlightenment.

Moved by this idea, Jiang Chen wanted to give it a try.

Unfortunately, he didn’t succeed.

Because at that moment, a flood of chaotic thoughts suddenly streamed into his mind, forcing him out of that state.

It seemed to be the will of people praying, or the praising voices of spirits. All kinds of voices, huge and chaotic, echoed in Jiang Chen’s ears, assaulting his spirit.

It was discomforting, too discomforting. Jiang Chen felt as if he was going mad, slowly losing his self-identity.

At the critical moment, the Taoist mirror trembled, emitting mysterious fluctuations that devoured all these chaotic wills.
