Whenever incense is offered, one can gain the blessings of the Incense Willpower. The more people offering the incense, the more significant the accumulated Incense Willpower.

Even without an Innate Treasure to suppress Fate, Buddhism can thrive based on the vast Incense Willpower. This is why it pays so much attention to spreading its faith.

Compared to them, Daoism, which uses an Innate Treasure to suppress Fate, is much more casual towards the Incense Willpower, not contesting or seizing it.

Believe if you will, leave if you do not.

Furthermore, because of its similarity to Profound Yellow Merit, Incense Willpower is also referred to as the Human Path Merit.

The Human Path encompasses all spirits, and since Incense Willpower is born from the hearts of all spirits, it is appropriate to categorize it as Human Path Merit.

Profound Yellow refers to Heaven and Earth. The Profound Yellow Merit originates from Heaven and Earth and serves as their foundation, a power that belongs to the Heavenly Dao.

Because of this, they could only focus on the path of incense. The path of incense was able to flourish because of their covert encouragement.

There was no choice, the benefits in Heaven and Earth were set, and they could not compete with their seniors, so they had to broaden their thinking and find solutions elsewhere.

The strong always grow stronger, and the weak become weaker. There’s a logic to that. The strong control the best resources, hence they naturally grow stronger, while the weak can only get the worst resources, naturally becoming weaker.

And Jiang Chen was undoubtedly among the weakest, in fact, he was even a cut below that. Neither Merit nor Fate were meant for him, it was not yet his turn. For this reason, he could only set his sights on Incense.

As for the toxicity of incense? It’s just a rumor, never confirmed nor disproven.

Upon scrutiny, it is for the purpose of utilising the fire from the incense to get rid of the mixed thoughts inside one’s willpower, to eliminate all potential problems.

Great Divine Transcendents always possess great wisdom, and they could not only foresee the issues that ordinary people worry about but also find solutions to them.

Incense is very safe!

As for Jiang Chen’s initial reaction being so dramatic, it can only be said that everyone who acquires Incense Willpower for the first time reacts the same way.

It serves as a warning to those receiving the Incense Willpower. Never forget that the Incense Willpower originates from all living beings. If one day this is to be used for cultivation enlightenment, it should be seen as a responsibility to protect all life forms.
