"As you wish, Sir Aoni, being hybrids, the individual values of our bloodlines are what separate our race from its other members, with those having more even percentages being higher up in the caste system, and those who are more lopsided, such as myself, falling into the lower rankings."

"Ideally, our inevitable goal is to equalize them out, resulting in 25% for each of the four lines, once that occurs, the four will merge into the true Varnithm bloodline, making us whole, as the upper class has done," Famitil stated after hesitating to call Aoni by his name.

"And it is only once our lines merge that we are accepted as true Varnithm. Although I can't quite remember the specific's I do have memories of happiness upon finding out my Tundra Elf Blood had reached such a high numerical value."

'High…bro it's only 3%! How diluted is that bloodline to cause such joy in your mind…' Flicking his eyes away from Famitil, Aoni checked the values again and chewed on his bottom lip.

Sensing the strange thoughts of his Lord, Famitil smiled ruefully. freeweɓnovēl.coɱ

"I understand your thoughts, Sir Aoni; however, you must understand that of our four lines, the Tundra Elf blood is the most difficult not only to acquire but also to refine. Take my daughter, for instance; she only has 0.1% Tundra Elf blood running through her veins."

"Oh? Is this from memory, or some type of Varnithm sense thing?" Aoni asked curiously while leaning forward in his seat.

"It's from memory, upon birth, every child's blood is tested, and if they are born with certain percentages, their caste would naturally be raised, along with the standing of the parents."

"However, it appears that you do not need to do such a thing, as if the knowledge I received upon my summoning is correct, you, as a Traveler, have the ability to read our Bloodlines."

"Not only can I read them, but technically I can also help you train them up."

"What? Is this true, Milord?" Upon hearing this, Ellewen flinched and looked at Aoni with glistening eyes filled with…hope.

"Ellewen dear, please calm yourself…" Before Aoni could say anything, Famitil gently pushed her back into the couch and straightened his wife's posture.

"No need to look at me like that, as my summons, of course, my goal is to make you all as strong as possible, if not to increase my might, then to ensure you all have long and prosperous lives. Regardless, yes, I do have a means of upgrading not only your Bloodlines, but also personal strength, along with your Grade and Passives."

"But there is no such thing as a free lunch in life, Ellewen, so I expect everyone to do their part, and so long as effort is put forth to the best of your ability, I have no problem helping make my people stronger." Ignoring the stinging sensation caused by Charlotte pinching the shit out of his thigh, Aoni smiled warmly at the Elven couple, completely unaware of how his words could be taken in a certain direction.

"Whatever you ask of me, Milord, I will do it, so long as my daughter will have the chance at becoming a true Varnithm…"

PINNNNNNCCCCHH

"Ah, Charlotte, what the hell?" With the pain in his leg finally reaching a point where his Pain resistance didn't block, Aoni glared at his sister, only to flinch away from the fierce glare in her eyes.

"Ellewen, please don't allow your mind to wander, you see, my brother here is quite dense and doesn't understand the inuendo he just used. In HIS mind, doing your part is anything from cooking, sewing, or whatever tradeskills you may have, as for you, Famitil, since you are more combat oriented, I wouldn't be surprised if he placed you in a military capacity." Taking control of the conversation, Charlotte gave her brother a swift and devastating chop on the head before placating the elven couple.

"Aoni is young, so sometimes he doesn't understand how his words could be misconstrued. I hope you wouldn't think poorly of him, as he has no ulterior motives behind what he said; it's a simple misunderstanding."

"The hell are you talking about!" Furiously rubbing the top of his head, Aoni couldn't help but feel lost at the conversation while Ellewen's cheeks blushed a purple hue, causing her to hide behind her husband's back.

"Idiot brother, she thinks you want to have sex, and are using that as a cost for adding points." Char snapped, causing Aoni to gasp in horror at his fumble.

---

With Aoni's innocence proven, the conversation flowed naturally until it came time for a meal, and that was when he and Charlotte found out that, unlike their forest cousins, the Varnithm were omnivores, and as such, had no problem eating whatever was served up.

"Say ahhhh," Ellewen said while carefully feeding little Faelar some of the rice.

"Awwww, so cute. Come here, Glaci, say ah…" Charlotte mused while replicating the same situation with Glacia and then Blixt.

"You being a mom is a scary mental image," Aoni grumbled as he scooped some rice into his mouth.

BAM

"FUCK!"

BAM

"AHHH WHY THE SECOND ONE!" Understanding the reason behind the first chop to his dome, Aoni wiped away some of the foam threatening to drop on his shirt and shot Charlotte a wronged look.

"No swearing in front of kids,"

"You..but, Dad and…"

"No buts, Aoni. She is not YOUR child, so you have no right to," Char stated matter-of-factly while Ellewen giggled and wiped her daughter's mouth with a napkin.

"The two of you are rather close, it seems," Famitil said while cutting into a piece of chimera meat and bringing it to his mouth.

"Well, we are the closest in age compared to my other siblings, so pretty much." Rubbing away the large bump on his head, Aoni nodded before digging into his food, something he'd never tried before as Ellewen cooked it.

It was a cross between a kebab and a rice dish, so while the ingredients had come from Aoni's storehouse, they were entirely new to him.

"MMMMMhh so good, say, Ellewen. How would you feel about being a maid at the Manor? Of course, you and Famitil will have your own house, so you wouldn't be required to stay here, but given how all your passives revolve around housework, I think it should be a good place for employment." Aoni mused absentmindedly, without thinking about how weird it was to ask someone to be their maid out of the blue.
