Lord Of Doom!Reincarnated Into a Novel as the Strongest Side Character-Chapter 67: First Solider of the Demonic Legion
Chapter 67: First Solider of the Demonic Legion
This wasn’t necromancy; it was the complete reshaping of the two soul, a forging anew to his will, bound to serve its new creator.
Gojin, his eyes blazing with a malevolent purple light, stood before the subdued demon. The air was static, charged with raw power.
He envisioned a legion of terrifying might, forged from the very essence of his enemies, and this creature was the first offering to that dark ambition.
He focused, his will a sharp, invasive probe that pierced the demon’s being. Two souls, one of life, one from the abyss, shimmered within, their ethereal forms roiling under the assault of his power. The demon fought back, its primal instincts screaming defiance against its impending fate, but Gojin’s power was a relentless tide, a dark ocean engulfing its resistance.
He unleashed his devouring eyes. The demon’s essence, its very life force, was drawn into the vortex of his gaze, its light flickering like a dying ember. The soul tethered to the abyss struggled, clawing at the encroaching darkness, but Gojin’s grip was absolute.
A fierce wind tore through the surroundings, ripping off rooftops and causing deep cracks in the ground. As he hadn’t fully mastered the power, he could only contain the destruction, preventing it from spreading beyond the area.
Purple tendrils of energy snaked around the creature, binding it to Gojin in a union that transcended control. It was a fusion, a perverse symbiosis of power. The demon’s form contorted, its features dissolving and reforming as Gojin infused it with his own energy, a painful metamorphosis that stripped its identity, replacing it with something far more sinister.
At this point, he was no different from a demon.
The transformation reached its agonizing crescendo. The two souls, caught in the maelstrom of Gojin’s power, were drawn into his being, their essences entwined with his own. The demon’s form shimmered, flickering between existence and oblivion, its last vestiges of individuality struggling against the inevitable. Gojin remained impassive, his energy flowing with unwavering purpose.
With a final surge of power, the transformation was complete.
The wind subsided, creating distance and producing a groundbreaking sound of whoosh.
The demon stood before Gojin, its eyes now reflecting a chilling obedience, the former defiance utterly extinguished. It was no longer an enemy, but a soldier, a tool of Gojin’s will. Their bond was unbreakable, forged in the crucible of suffering and domination. The first member of his legion was born, ready to serve.
A grim satisfaction settled over Gojin. This was but the first step. With each subsequent transformation, his legion would grow, and he planned on going... lazy mode at that point.
Turning away from his newly forged soldier, Gojin felt the intoxicating thrill of impending conquest. The underworld would soon tremble before his legion, and he would reign supreme.
Such dark ambition made him appear as a villainous character in this world. In truth, he merely sought to end the battle between demons and exorcists.
His eyes returned to normal, and the blindfold appeared out of nowhere, covering his eyes once again.
Now that he had a soldier, exorcising demons and completing other tasks would be much easier. Consequently, each kill the demon made would automatically contribute to his goal of 1,000 kills—literally beneficial at every turn.
He smirked.
Fortunately, he didn’t need to carry the demon around, as he could simply leave it to lurk and call for it when needed. Additionally, he could see whatever the demon saw and control its movements whenever he switched perspectives.
This is going to be fun, or so he thought.

And finally, after a week, they had managed to secure an inn for their stay, paying for three weeks. Gojin lay on the comfortable bed, legs crossed and eyes glowing purple. Sakura and Kenji had gone out to hunt demons, and he was watching them through his soldier, switching his perspective to it. The demon had managed to conceal its presence from them, keeping a short distance away.
He observed them as if they were part of a reality show; in this world, there was no such thing as television, nor any hope for one to be invented even in 700 years. All he could do was use them for his own entertainment to alleviate his boredom.
The trio had split up, and Gojin could only watch one of them at a time. Currently, he was focused on Sakura. She was engaged in battle with an Exile demon, jumping around and sending shadowy blades in response to the creature, which was likely a grade 2. He shook his head as he watched her perform a flip in mid-air, summoning a shadowy chain that ensnared the disfigured creature’s torso. She stood on a narrow wall, breathing heavily.
Then, she tightened the chain, causing it to sprout dark spikes that pierced the demon all over. Soon, it crumbled into dust.
Gojin sneered; the entertainment wasn’t as intriguing as he had hoped.
"I’ll give this a 4.5/10. No particular reason; it’s just not as entertaining as I expected from her. Don’t you agree, Boss?"
Gojin was able to communicate with his soldier, although it wasn’t the talking type. The demon simply continued to keep an eye on Sakura, waiting for a new command. He had bestowed the name ’Boss’ upon the demon and planned to make it a commander of a troop once he accumulated enough.
During that week, Gojin had killed only one Exile grade 1 demon, leaving about 15 grade 3 for Boss while he focused on mastering his techniques.
"Well, let’s switch to Kenji."
Boss instantly vanished from its spot, and Sakura caught a glimpse of the energy, but when she searched for the source, she was unable to find it.
Now, Boss was hidden in the branches of a large tree, staring down at Kenji, who was currently playing with five young children. They were engaged in a traditional game, and oh boy, was Kenji losing repeatedly, not even coming close to a win. It was a disgrace, and Gojin could hardly bear to watch.
"No, fool! You raise, not give a low! Giving a low will give them the upper hand. Why can’t you just reason? These little rats are actually beating you in this game!" Gojin complained, scowling.
It seemed Kenji had finished battling, as the last time Gojin viewed him, he was throwing punches and delivering deep cuts to a grade 2 Exile demon, going from limb to limb and adding kicks. The sight had been entertaining due to the widespread bloodshed.
Suddenly, Gojin heard footsteps approaching his door, followed by a knock. Through the shoji, he could see multiple armed men standing outside.
He released Boss from duty and decided to answer the men. What could they want? If it was anything harmful, that would be a reverse situation.
Sliding the door open, he saw seven imperial guards from the palace, their faces stern as they held swords, with the leader clutching a scroll in his hand. The guards were dressed in tough golden plates of armour.
"And how can I help you?" Gojin inquired, scratching the back of his head and staring blankly at them through his blindfold.
The leader, with a deep voice, declared, "The Great Emperor has commanded you to present yourself along with your friends before him. We are here to escort you, and with the Glory of the Emperor granting such a significant opportunity to meet him, we highly recommend you follow us immediately with your companions."
