Married For Now-Chapter 116: CULPRIT REVEAL
Chapter 116: CULPRIT REVEAL
KIM HEEDO sat on the chair next to Song Sihyuk, his eyes glued to Jin Taejoon and Han Yechan who were already both bleeding.
Han Yechan coughed up blood after getting kicked hard by Heedo.
On the other hand, Jin Taejoon was shot by Song Sihyuk. But the bullet only grazed the loan shark’s arm.
Luckily for these bastards, we still need them alive.
Han Yechan and Jin Taejoon both got first-aid from one of Song Sihyuk’s subordinates who had background in medicine.
Now the interrogation was about to begin.
"You already know why we’re here," Song Sihyuk said sternly. "I’ll get straight to the point since I don’t want to waste my time with you." He then turned to Jin Taejoon with a sharp look. "Why did you kidnap my son? I know someone asked you to do it. So, tell me. What’s their purpose?"
Jin Taejoon clenched his jaw tight. "They want your pheromones."
Heedo was kind of surprised.
So, Sihyuk Hyung was right about his assumption.
"Who’s your client then?" Song Sihyuk asked in a really cold voice. "Who’s stupid enough to make me angry?"
Jin Taejoon scoffed. "I’m not sure if even you could handle my client, Song Sihyuk."
"Try me, bastard."
Instead of answering verbally, Jin Taejoon just turned to Han Yechan.
"I have Jin Taejoon-ssi’s contract with his client," Han Yechan said, sighing as if he was defeated. "I was about to get rid of it for Jin Taejoon-ssi, but you caught us faster than expected."
Oh.
Heedo realized that Park Sohee was right.
Jin Taejoon’s mysterious brother really cares about that bastard.
"Give it to me," Song Sihyuk said. "Let me see the contract."

"GRANDPA, have you found any information about Jin Taejoon’s younger half-brother?"
That was the first question that Kim Heedo asked his grandfather after calling him on the phone.
He stepped out of the container while Song Sihyuk was busy verifying the documents that he got from Han Yechan. Of course, his bodyguards were standing nearby.
<"I’m sorry, my precious grandson. But that’s not something I was able to squeeze out of Jin Taejoon’s father. His other son is a civilian, and they have a rule that says you cannot drag civilians into their mess. I have to honor that if I want to continue working with people like them.">
"Grandfather, do you really have to continue working with people like them?"
<"You won’t understand since you haven’t formally begun your succession training yet. But in our world, we need to get along with people like Jin Taejoon’s father and the government. That’s how we protect our position in this society.">
Heedo really didn’t understand, and he was starting to dread his position as his father’s heir because he didn’t want to work with people like Jin Taejoon.
But I need to succeed the company because I want to make Sohee Hyung the husband of the chairman of a huge conglomerate.
Hence, he couldn’t give up being an heir to the Ilsung Group.
<"Why are you suddenly bringing up Jin Taejoon’s half-brother?">
"Jin Taejoon’s half-brother cleaned up after his mess this time, according to Sohee Hyung. They want us to "repay" the favor by turning a blindeye to what Jin Taejoon did."
<"If it were up to me, then I would suggest to just let this incident slide since Park Sohee wasn’t hurt. Moreover, according to the report I received, your husband wasn’t a target this time. It was just unfortunate that he was there when Song Sihyuk’s heir was abducted. But, of course, I was just looking at the bigger picture. What’s more important is Park Sohee’s opinion. What does your husband want to do?">
"Sohee Hyung wants to "repay" those bastards not by letting this incident slide but by keeping Jin Taejoon alive. He wants to put that scumbag in jail instead of burying him six feet under."
His grandfather laughed out loud as if he was amused by Park Sohee’s idea.
<"I agree with Park Sohee, my precious grandson. You have to pay what you owe them. Even if you don’t want to admit it, it’s still true that Jin Taejoon’s brother helped your husband. But if you simply follow what they want you to do, then they’ll think you’re a pushover. However, if you decide how you want to repay them, you’ll show them that you’re the one who has more power in this wretched relationship we have with the "underworld." After all, chaebols still run this country.">
Heedo didn’t want to admit this, but both Park Sohee and his grandfather were right.
If I kill Jin Taejoon, then his younger brother will probably avenge him by harming Sohee Hyung. I should be satisfied with putting Jin Taejoon in jail. That’s better than starting a vicious cycle of revenge.
Haaah.
<"Heedo-ya, just throw Jin Taejoon in jail. There are many ways to make that bastard’s life a living hell while he’s there.">
Oh, right.
Why didn’t Heedo think of that?
<"I’ll take care of it. After all, Park Sohee is my precious grandson-in-law. I won’t let those bastards think that they can hurt our family and get away with it easily.">

AFTER Kim Heedo’s phone call with his grandfather, Song Sihyuk came out of the container and handed him the documents that he got from Han Yechan.
It was the contract that revealed who Jin Taejoon’s client was.
"Is this true, Sihyuk Hyung-nim?" Heedo asked while reading the documents in his hand. "Is this person really the mastermind?"
He then lifted his head.
Song Sihyuk was leaning against the wall while smoking. "It’s hard to believe, isn’t it? But my subordinates already checked several times. All the pieces of information written there have been verified."
Heedo’s gaze landed on the picture of the culprit, unsure how to feel about it. "The whole country will get shaken if this gets leaked to the public."
"I know, right? Who knew the grandson of the current President of our country would try to kidnap my son for my pheromones?"
"No wonder they had the guts to mess with you, Hyung-nim."
It was true that chaebols ran the country.
However, there was one thing President Lee Hoon had power over the chaebols.
"What are you going to do, Hyung-nim?" Heedo asked curiously. "If you harm the President’s grandson, then the President might give you a hard time about your inheritance tax. You’re going to receive your inheritance this year, aren’t you?"
Yes, tax.
The government taxes the hell out of us.
But the thing that chaebols dreaded the most was the inheritance tax that they had to pay the government.
Because it’s too damn high even by our standards.
"The inheritance tax in our country is high because the government wants to stop the chaebols from passing down their wealth and maintaining "disproportionate" influence over the economy," Heedo reminded Song Sihyuk even though he knew that the older Alpha was already painfully aware of it. "But President Lee promised to ease the excessive inheritance tax, and he seems serious about it. If Hyung-nim goes after his grandson’s throat, then President Lee might give you a hard time with your inheritance tax, though."
"Heedo-ya."
"Yes, Hyung-nim?"
"Would you care about your inheritance tax if you were in my place? If it were Park Sohee who got kidnapped because some bastard wanted your pheromones, would you hesitate to go after the culprit just because he was the grandson of the person who could lessen your excessive inheritance tax?"
Heedo clenched his jaw and shook his head, and then he answered without missing a beat: "No, I would still get back at that bastard, Hyung-nim."
"Exactly," Song Sihyuk said firmly. "Whether that bastard is the President’s grandson or not, I’ll still go after his throat--- my inheritance be damned."

<BREAKING NEWS: Lee Jaebeom, the grandson of President Lee Hoon, was found dead in his penthouse...>
Kim Heedo let out a gasp while watching the news on his phone.
His grandfather told him to tune in, so he did. But he didn’t expect that the news would be about the death of the President’s grandson.
We’re supposed to confront him...
"Why is that bastard dead already when I should have been the one to kill him?!"
Heedo raised his head.
Song Sihyuk was yelling on the phone, angry--- as expected.
"Suicide? The bastard killed himself?!"
Oho?
The news that Heedo was watching didn’t mention the cause of death of the President’s grandson.
But, as expected, Song Sihyuk’s informant was better than traditional reporters.
"He killed himself after his Beta died from drug overdose?"
Oho?
Heedo felt a chill down his spine.
He could already imagine what might have happened.
Lee Jaebeom probably forced his Beta male to take those stupid miracle pills to the point that the poor Beta overdosed.
But there was also a possibility that the Beta male wanted to turn into an Omega.
And that was the point that Heedo didn’t understand.
Why are there Betas who want to be an Omega?
"Damn it. That bastard is really already dead," Song Sihyuk said, frustrated, after ending the phone call. "How can I have my revenge on a dead person?"
"Did he try to turn his Beta partner into an Omega, Hyung-nim?"
"That seems to be the case. My informant found several bottles of miracle pills in Lee Jaebeom’s belongings. They also found the contract that he signed with Jin Taejoon. I already asked my people to get rid of it. It would be troublesome if people find out that bastard kidnapped my son for my pheromones."
Oh, right.
If people find out that Sihyuk Hyung-nim’s pheromones could make miracle pills work, then people would come after him again.
"Should I just kill Jin Taejoon instead?" Song Sihyuk said, his eyes looking all frenzied. "I shot him earlier because seeing him pissed me off. Even if he wasn’t the one who wanted my son kidnapped, he was still the one who committed the crime."
Right.
Sihyuk Hyung-nim has a point, but...
Heedo shot Song Sihyuk a cold glare. "Hyung-nim, Jin Taejoon is my business."
Song Sihyuk smirked. "Oh, yeah? Can you stop me if I really wanted to kill that bastard?"
"Hyung-nim, you owe me a debt."
"How do I owe you a debt, you brat?"
"It was your fault why the kidnapping happened easily," Heedo said bluntly. "If you didn’t rent the entire café, then the kidnappers wouldn’t have easily blended with the staff members."
Song Sihyuk glared at Heedo, but the older Alpha couldn’t talk back.
Because I’m right.
"I didn’ t say this earlier because I wanted to focus on saving Sohee Hyung, and blaming you wouldn’t have changed a thing," Heedo said, avoiding Song Sihyuk’s glare. Not because he was scared, but because he wanted to end that conversation already. After all, his business with Jin Taejoon and Han Yechan wasn’t over yet. "Hyung-nim, I also have a family to protect, so please don’t get in my way."
