Married For Now-Chapter 117: THE HALF-BROTHER
Chapter 117: THE HALF-BROTHER
LET’S GET this done and over with.
That was Heedo’s thoughts when he faced Jin Taejoon and Han Yechan inside the container again.
The two were still tied to their chairs.
"Jin Taejoon, Han Yechan, it’s you who owe me a favor this time," Heedo said smugly as he sat on the chair across from the two bastards. "If it wasn’t for me, Sihyuk Hyung-nim would have killed Jin Taejoon already." He shot Han Yechan a cold look then. "I’m being generous here because you saved my husband, even though the kidnapping shouldn’t have happened in the first place."
"I understand your generosity now, sir," Han Yechan said, flashing a business smile at Heedo. His attitude was so different from his attitude earlier. The kick probably knocked some sense into him. "Park Sohee-ssi has already repaid his debt when he saved Jin Taejoon-ssi’s life. But I’m sure it won’t end here. So, may I know what you’re planning to do to Jin Taejoon-ssi?"
Heedo ignored Han Yechan’s yapping to give Jin Taejoon a curious glance. "You’ve been awfully quiet, Jin Taejoon. Does getting grazed by a bullet scare you that much?"
"Shut up," Jin Taejoon said, but his voice didn’t really have any conviction. "Kill me or whatever. I don’t care anymore."
Hmm?
Jin Taejoon’s attitude was strange.
It seems like this bastard is scared, but the thing or person he’s scared of isn’t here.
"Kim Heedo-ssi, are you planning to put Jin Taejoon-ssi behind bars?"
Heedo turned to Han Yechan and raised an eyebrow. "Come to think of it, you act like a lawyer."
"I am not, but I’m in charge of cleaning up after Jin Taejoon-ssi’s mess."
Jin Taejoon just scoffed, but he didn’t refute what Han Yechan said.
So, his half-brother really cares about him a lot.
"This is ridiculous," Heedo said when he realized something. "Jin Taejoon’s father insists that his other son is a "civilian," and yet he uses his power in the organization to save his stupid brother’s ass."
His grandfather insisted that they should leave Jin Taejoon’s half-brother alone, and he had no intention of disobeying his grandfather on that matter.
It’s not worth risking my place as my father’s successor.
However, Heedo was starting to get really curious about Jin Taejoon’s half-brother.
"Sir, Jin Taejoon-ssi’s younger brother is a civilian with a normal job. The chairman wouldn’t have protected his identity otherwise," Han Yechan said, trying to sound convincing. "But he cares about his older brother a lot, that’s why he steps in if he has to. Even so, he’s still a civilian. So, let’s not get him involved here. Remember, he still saved Park Sohee-ssi’s life."
I hate that it’s true.
Hence, Heedo just focused on what he needed to do.
I already want to go home to Sohee Hyung.
"Deep-sea boat. I wanted to send Jin Taejoon to a deep-sea boat that would "mysteriously" sink before it even reached its destination," Heedo said coldly, making both Jin Taejoon and Han Yechan flinched. "But Sohee Hyung wanted to put Jin Taejoon behind bars so we could make sure that you wouldn’t be able to hide him again. This isn’t a bad offer, is it? If your boss really cares about Jin Taejoon, then he should be glad that he could still visit his hyung in prison. It’s a lot better than visiting his hyung in a cemetery."
Heedo didn’t want to admit this because he really wanted Jin Taejoon dead.
But this kind of negotiation would ensure that a vicious cycle of revenge wouldn’t start.
As long as Jin Taejoon’s half-brother is satisfied with the punishment that we decided for Jin Taejoon, then we won’t make an enemy out of each other.
"Jin Taejoon-ssi’s younger brother gave me the authority to decide which action to take in order to ensure Jin Taejoon-ssi’s saferty," Han Yechan said, pausing for a moment. "I agree with your terms, Kim Heedo-ssi. Jin Taejoon-ssi will turn himself in. But let’s wrap this up quietly. I know the Ilsung Group wouldn’t want this issue revealed to the public anyway."
"That’s not something you need to remind me of," Heedo said, scoffing. "We will handle everything to ensure that Jin Taejoon won’t be able to escape again."
"Don’t worry, sir. I agree that Jin Taejoon will be safer in jail than anywhere else."
Jin Taejoon flinched, but that bastard still didn’t open his mouth.
Did Han Yechan threaten him or something?
"What are you going to do about me, sir?" Han Yechan said curiously. "Are you going to put me behind bars, too?"
"You’re lucky because my husband asked me to spare you since you did save him from being raped, so I will listen to my husband’s request and let you live."
But, from now on, this bastard will be under surveillance.
"Thank you for your generosity, Kim Heedo-ssi," Han Yechan said, flashing that annoying business smile of his again. "I owe you one."
"Then you have to repay me--- now."
"Is there something I can do for you at this very moment, sir?"
"Yes--- I just need you to turn a blindeye," Heedo said, standing abruptly and grabbing Jin Taejoon by the collar. "I didn’t say I wouldn’t send Jin Taejoon to jail half-dead, did I?"

AH, I CAN finally go home and rest.
Han Yechan lit the tip of his cigarette with a lighter, and then he leaned against the wall of the container while watching the police car drive away.
Yes, Jin Taejoon was arrested.
Good riddance.
Thank goodness I didn’t have to babysit that asshole anymore.
Han Yechan was a free man again, but not really.
I’m pretty sure Kim Heedo-ssi put a tail on me.
Oh, whatever.
I’m planning to lay low for now anyway.
But, before that, Han Yechan made a phone call first to his boss.
<"Is everything taken care of?">
"I’m sorry, but I deemed it necessary to send Jin Taejoon-ssi to prison to appease the young heir of the Ilsung Group, sir."
<"I suppose it’s the best option for my older brother.">
"The choices were a deep-sea boat that would "mysteriously" sink later, or a prison where we could visit Jin Taejoon-ssi anytime we wanted."
<"You chose well.">
"Thank you, sir."
<"Did they believe that Hyung’s client was President Lee’s grandson?">
"They didn’t seem to doubt it because of the contract that we prepared in advance. Luckily, Jin Taejoon-ssi cooperated and shut his mouth the entire time."
Han Yechan had to threaten Jin Taejoon, though. freēwēbnovel.com
["Jin Taejoon-ssi, this is the last time we’re giving you a chance. If you don’t let us help you, then we will send you back to your grandfather. You don’t want to live with that pervert again, do you?"]
The threat worked well because Jin Taejoon was still traumatized by the person who abused him in his childhood.
<"Good job, Han Yechan. Now, make sure Lee Junsu will lay low in the meantime.">
Haaah.
Han Yechan couldn’t believe that they went all throught that trouble--- even earning the wrath of the future successors of the Ilsung Group and the SG Group--- just because of a useless idol that was no different from a ticking bomb.
<"I can hear your dissatisfaction, Han Yechan.">
"Can I speak as your friend and not as your secretary, sir?"
Yes, Han Yechan was going all through this bullshit out of loyalty.
But he was starting to regret it now.
<"Go ahead, speak your mind.">
"You’ve worked so hard to live a normal life, so why are you returning to the dark side just because of that twink? Is Lee Junsu really worth it, Jin Taewook?"
<"Don’t call me by my dead name, punk.">
"Oh, I’m sorry for trying to protect your civilian life, sir," Han Yechan said sarcastically. "Should I call you by your stage name and let your fans know that you’re the son of an infamous loan shark, Sanha?"
