Married For Now-Chapter 41: THE REAL TRAP
Chapter 41: THE REAL TRAP
IS IT just me or does Ho Changmin look eerily similar to Lee Junsu?
That was the first thing Sohee noticed when he saw Ho Changmin.
He couldn’t help but notice that Ho Changmin had his face done, and he found it crazy since he could tell that the kid already had nice features.
Ho Changmin is an Omega, and most Omegas are born naturally pretty, so they don’t really need to get cosmetic surgeries.
Sohee respected Ho Changmin’s decision to go under the knife, though.
His body and money, his choice.
"Hyung, do you have anything you want to say to me?" Ho Changmin said, smiling. "If you’re staring because you’re wondering if I went under the knife, then yes, I did have my face done. I had double eyelid surgery since I hated my monolids. Then I had a nose job because I wanted a cute button nose. Lastly, I had my jaws shaved."
"Uhm, you didn’t have to tell me. But thank you for sharing," Sohee said. "And I’m sorry for staring."
An awkward silence ensued.
Right now, only Sohee and Ho Changmin were left in Kim Heedo’s fancy penthouse.
Since they had nothing to do, they just went to the living room and watched an action movie.
"Hyung, it’s late, but congratulations on your marriage."
"Oh, thank you."
"I know Heedo will provide food for us, but I still brought my favorite beer since I drink this when I’m nervous," Ho Changmin said, sitting next to Sohee on the floor. And then he offered a can to him. "Would you like to drink with me, Hyung?"
"Sure," Sohee said, accepting the can of beer. "Thank you, Changmin-ssi."
"Please speak comfortably, Hyung."
"Okay, Changmin-ah."
"Hyung, can I ask something personal?"
"Go ahead."
"You know that I’m Heedo’s past hook-up, right?" Ho Changmin asked nervously. "I thought Hyung wouldn’t like it if Heedo helped me."
"To be fair, Heedo isn’t doing this for you."
Ho Changmin blushed as if he was embarrassed.
Oh, I was too blunt.
"But I’m sure Heedo feels bad that you got hurt because of your ex-boyfriend’s grudge against him," Sohee said because he felt bad for embarrassing Ho Changmin. He got so used to exchanging friendly banters with Kim Heedo that he forgot that some kids were sensitive. "Don’t worry, Changmin-ah. We will protect you from your ex-boyfriend."
"Hyung must be really nice since you’re willing to help your husband’s former hook-up."
Why does this kid keep reminding me that he slept with Kim Heedo?
"It’s not because I’m nice," Sohee said. He really wanted to ignore Ho Changmin’s bragging, but he had a feeling that the kid wouldn’t stop until he acknowledged him as one of Kim Heedo’s former hook-ups. It was weird, but whatever. "I just simply don’t care about what my husband did before our marriage."
"You have a strong mental fortitude, Hyung," Ho Changmin said, smiling as if he was jealous of Sohee. "Is that why you’re not worried about Lee Junsu? Ah, Hyung knows who Lee Junsu is, right? That’s Kosmos’ Jamie’s real name."
Hmm.
This kid is crossing the line, but let’s humor him.
"Yep, Heedo told me that Lee Junsu is his ex-boyfriend."
"Hyung, I hate to say this. But since you’re a good person, I thought you should know," Ho Changmin said worriedly. "Heedo might still be in love with Lee Junsu."
No shit, Sherlock.
"I’m Lee Junsu’s friend, so I know what I’m talking about."
For real?
Sohee didn’t show that he was surprised to know that Ho Changmin was Lee Junsu’s friend, but he was really taken aback since Kim Heedo failed to mention that.
Heedo-ya, you slept with your ex-boyfriend’s friend?
"I watched Lee Junsu and Heedo date during our high school days," Ho Changmin continued with his story. "And I can tell how much they loved each other. It’s the kind of love that’s not easy to replace."
"Right? Our first love will always hold a special place in our hearts."
"Hyung, are you that confident that Heedo won’t leave you for Lee Junsu? Or do you not care about Heedo?"
"What do you want to hear from me, Changmin-ah? Just get straight to the point, kid."
"Do you really love Heedo?"
"Oh, I do," Sohee said bluntly, giving Ho Changmin a bright smile. "I love my golden goose to death."
You know what’s greater than a first love? Money. Cold hard cash, kid.
"’Golden goose?’"
"That’s what I call Heedo— affectionately, of course."
Ho Changmin knitted his eyebrows, and then he frowned. "Is it because Heedo is wealthy?"
Sohee just shrugged.
"So, you only married Heedo for money. That’s why you don’t care about his past relationships."
"How about you, Changmin-ah? Why do you care about Heedo’s past relationships that much? You seem to be particularly interested in his relationship with Lee Junsu."
"Lee Junsu is my friend—"
"I don’t think so," Sohee said, cutting off Ho Changmin’s bullshit. He was too old to listen to such nonsense. "If you were Lee Junsu’s friend, you wouldn’t have slept with his ex-boyfriend— much less brag about it to other people."
Ho Changmin’s face turned red as if he was embarrassed, then he quickly got up and ran to the bathroom.
I hope he doesn’t cry there.
Sohee felt bad, but he also couldn’t help but think that kids these days were too soft.
Dammit, I sounded like a boomer just now.

"HEEDO-YA, I’m bored~"
"So what?" Kim Heedo ignored Hong Sera’s whining, his eyes glued to his phone. "Didn’t you say Han Raehyun will be here in a minute? Play with your boyfriend once he gets here and stop bothering me."
Right now, Heedo was alone in his apartment with Hong Sera.
But, half an hour ago, it was lively there.
He took a group picture with Park Sohee, Ho Changmin, Hong Sera, Yang Jaewon, and Kwon Gaon.
Then he drove Park Sohee and Ho Changmin to his penthouse.
He sent Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon on a "secret mission."
And then Heedo returned to his apartment where Hong Sera was left to house-sit earlier.
"There’s no update yet?" Hong Sera asked curiously. "Lim Jinwook probably noticed that it was a trap. If I were him, I’d question why you were hanging out with Ho Changmin after you avoided him like the plague before."
"I posted our group picture on my social media account since Lim Jinwook is probably stalking me. It doesn’t matter even if we’re being obvious," Heedo said, shrugging. "I just need to trigger him by making him see that I’m with Ho Changmin. According to Ho Changmin, his ex-boyfriend goes crazy when he so much as mentions my name. So, let’s hope Lim Jinwook loses it once he sees that Ho Changmin is in my apartment."
In short, he wanted to lure Lim Jinwook there.
"What will you do once he gets here... oh, wait," Hong Sera said, and then her eyes sparkled before answering her boyfriend’s phone call. "Hyunnie, are you here?"
Heedo knitted his eyebrows while listening to Hong Sera’s high-pitched voice.
Argh, my ears.
Hong Sera would only use that disgustingly sweet voice when talking to Han Raehyun.
"Wait, babe," Hong Sera said in an urgent voice. "I’ll let Heedo know first."
Heedo immediately raised his head. "What is it?"
"Raehyun said he caught Lim Jinwook lurking around the basement parking."
"Ah, then tell Han Raehyun to bring that bastard here."
"Got it," Hong Sera said. "Babe, drag him here. Thanks!"
Lim Jinwook was an Alpha, but so was Han Raehyun.
Even though Han Raehyun looks frail, he’s actually strong enough to fight someone as tall as Lim Jinwook.
Well, probably.
Heedo immediately stood up when the doorbell rang, and then he quickly ran towards the door and opened it.
"Hello, Heedo-ya."
It was Han Raehyun— Hong Sera’s boyfriend.
Han Raehyun, at 179cm, wasn’t really that short— but Heedo and Lim Jinwook were both over 185cm, so they towered over him.
However, Han Raehyun looked the most intimidating...
... especially since Han Raehyun was holding Lim Jinwook by the neck.
And, judging by Lee Jinwook’s busted lips, Han Raehyun dragged him here by force.
"Thank you, Raehyun-ah," Heedo said, pointing his thumb inside the apartment. "You may go and play with Sera now."
Han Raehyun just nodded, and then he pushed Lim Jinwook before going inside.
Heedo then grabbed Lim Jinwook by the shoulder. "Don’t run away, Lim Jinwook."
"Why would I run away when I came here to meet you?" Lim Jinwook scoffed, removing his baseball cap in a frustrated manner— showing off that handsome yet annoyed face of his. "Kim Heedo, are you stupid?"
"Are you picking a fight with me?"
"Why would you let your husband near Ho Changmin?"
"Excuse me?"
"We’re both going to get disowned by our families if something bad happens to Park Sohee," Lim Jinwook said in a serious and urgent tone. "So, you better separate your husband from Ho Changmin, Kim Heedo."
Heedo knew that he shouldn’t trust Lim Jinwook’s words easily.
However, it wouldn’t hurt to be extra careful.
And he doesn’t look like he’s acting.
"They’re not here," Heedo said, grabbing Lim Jinwook by the collar. "You’re coming with me and if you’re lying, I’ll involve the adults in this "fight.""
Lim Jinwook clicked his tongue. "Petty bastard."
***
THIS BASTARD finally fell asleep.
Ho Changmin purposely stayed inside the bathroom and waited for five minutes before coming out.
And when he returned to the living room, he found Park Sohee asleep on the floor.
I just need to get this thing...
Ho Changmin got down on one knee, and then he reached for Park Sohee’s diamond stud earring— snatching it ruthlessly, not caring that Park Sohee’s ear bled as a result.
He then hugged the diamond stud earring close to his chest.
Ah, finally— it’s mine!
***
AIGOO.
Sohee opened his eyes after he heard the door close— indicating that Ho Changmin had already left.
He got up and touched his bleeding ear.
Fortunately, his pain tolerance was high. Hence, he didn’t flinch when his ear got torn after Ho Changmin snatched his "wedding earring."
"Kids these days are really scary, huh?"
