Chapter 47: THE MAIN CHARACTER?

IT WAS past midnight when Lee Jinwook was fetched by people from the Navi Group.

Then Shin Kang came with the legal representatives of the Ilsung Group.

Apparently, Heedo made a contract with Ho Changmin.

Only after Ho Changmin signed the contract was he allowed to leave the villa.

The bodyguards that Kwon Gaon brought there escorted Ho Changmin.

"It’s finally over," Sohee said, gently patting Kim Heedo’s back. "Congratulations, Heedo-ya. You finally got rid of your stalker."

Kim Heedo nodded, and then he turned to Sohee with an apologetic look on his face. "I’m sorry you got dragged into my problem, Hyung. You even got hurt."

"Nah, I’m fine."

"Only because you’re an adrenaline junkie."

"Yah."

Kim Heedo just shrugged. "Anyway, would you like us to stay here for the night, Hyung?"

Hmm.

Sohee looked at their companions.

Kim Haewon and Kim Hanhae had already changed into dry clothes, ready to leave.

So were Yang Jaewon, Kwon Gaon, Hong Sera, and Han Raehyun.

"Everything is already ready to go, though?" Sohee said, turning to Kim Heedo with a raised eyebrow. "Be honest now, Kim Heedo. Do you want us to stay here? And, if yes, do you have any hidden intention?"

Kim Heedo looked confused at first, and then his face turned red. "I just thought you’d want to dip in the pool since you didn’t get the chance to do so, Hyung. Please don’t turn me into a pervert."

Sohee just laughed, and he was about to say he was only teasing Kim Heedo.

But the brat’s phone vibrated.

It seems like he got a text message.

Sohee was about to look away to give Kim Heedo some privacy, but the look on his contract husband’s face made him worry.

"Is everything alright, Heedo-ya?"

"It’s Lee Junsu," Kim Heedo said, and then he turned to Sohee with sparkling eyes. "He’s asking me if we can meet."

"Right now?"

"Yes, right now. As a celebrity, it’s normal for him to start his day at this hour."

Right.

"If Lee Junsu wants to meet you at this hour, then it must be urgent."

"He said he wanted to talk about Ho Changmin. I think he heard what Ho Changmin is up to now. Since we didn’t confiscate Ho Changmin’s phone earlier, it’s possible that he sent a message to Lee Junsu."

"There’s only one way to find out: go and meet Lee Junsu."

"Will that be alright with you, Hyung?"

"Do you want to meet Lee Junsu?"

"Yes," Kim Heedo said softly. "I want to know what he wants to say about Ho Changmin."

"Then go," Sohee said, patting Kim Heedo’s shoulder. The kid looked so serious that he felt the urge to tease him. "It’s not like you and Lee Junsu are going to cheat on me and Sanha-ssi, right?"

Admittedly, that was a bad joke.

SHIN KANG drove Kim Haewon and Kim Hanhae home.

Yang Jaewon and Kwon Gaon left together since the two live together as well as roommates.

Kim Heedo drove his own car.

Actually, the brat offered to drive me home first.

But Sohee could tell how excited Kim Heedo was to meet Lee Junsu, so he said he’d just call a cab.

He had the money to pay for a cab and give the taxi driver a tip.

But Hong Sera heard him, and then she insisted that she’d take him home.

That was how Sohee ended up in the backseat of Han Raehyun’s car.

Han Raehyun was the driver while Hong Sera was the passenger princess.

I feel like I’m their son, and they’re about to drop me off at daycare.

"Raehyun-ah, Sera-ya, thank you," Sohee said. He had already thanked the two earlier, but he felt like he had to thank them again after he found out that Han Raehyun and Hong Sera lived an hour away from his apartment. "I’m really sorry for the inconvenience."

"It’s alright, Hyung," Han Raehyun said calmly. "It’s no big deal."

"And I’m the one who offered that we bring you home, Oppa," Hong Sera said. "If you feel bad, then how about treating us to a yummy meal soon?"

"Sure, let’s do that."

"Yey," Hong Sera cheered softly. And then she paused before asking hesitantly: "Oppa, why did you let Heedo meet Lee Junsu?"

"I don’t have the right to stop Kim Heedo," Sohee said, shrugging. "We’re just under a contract marriage anyway."

Since Han Raehyun seemed close to Kim Heedo, Sohee assumed that he already knew about the true nature of his marriage to Kim Heedo.

And he seemed to be right since Han Raehyun remained calm.

"Is that so? I thought something was going on between you and Heedo," Hong Sera said awkwardly. "I thought wrong."

"Yes, we’re just friends."

Friends with benefits, that is.

"Thank you for answering my questions, Oppa," Hong Sera said. "And I’m sorry for being nosy."

"It’s alright, Sera-ya," Sohee said, smiling while shaking his head. "Thank you for worrying about my feelings."

To be honest, Sohee was actually worried.

He knew that he shouldn’t have pushed Kim Heedo towards Lee Junsu.

Aside from the fact that Lee Junsu was already in a committed relationship, it would be a pain in the bum if Kim Heedo decided to dump him for his ex-boyfriend.

It wasn’t like he trusted Shaman Jung completely.

But he also couldn’t ignore the shaman’s warning.

Sohee’s luck would disappear once Kim Heedo left him for another man.

But his conscience kept pricking him.

Perhaps I should start being greedy?

Because if Sohee didn’t want to lose his great luck and the comfortable life that came with it, he better start seducing Kim Heedo.

Goodbye, my clean conscience— it’s over for you.

THE HYPER SALON.

Kim Heedo wasn’t surprised that Lee Junsu asked him to come at The Hyper Salon— a famous beauty salon for celebrities.

It’s normal for salons like this to be open during these hours.

Aside from its top-notch services, the salon was also known for being a secured place for celebrities to meet their non-celebrities friends or partners. The staff members were tight-lipped, and there were bodyguards dressed as civilians patrolling the area to make sure no paparazzi were around.

"I’m sorry for asking you to come here, Heedo-ya," Lee Junsu said softly. "We have a recording at a music show later, so I don’t really have any more time to spare today other than now."

Right.

Lee Junsu’s group members were also there while getting their hair done by the stylists.

His group members know who I am, so we exchanged brief greetings earlier.

Since Lee Junsu was already done, he was given a short break by the manager. And he used that break to bring Kim Heedo to the salon’s private lounge.

No one else was there except for the two of them.

"So, I’m sorry for asking you to come here at a very inconvenient time."

"Nah, it’s alright," Heedo said nonchalantly while staring shamelessly at Lee Junsu. "We had just finished wrapping up things at the villa anyway."

A long, awkward silence ensued.

Heedo couldn’t stand the silence, so he blurted out the thing that caused him to stare at Lee Junsu as if he had no self-respect.

"You dyed your hair again."

"Ah, yes," Lee Junsu said, touching his blond hair. "I’m not sure if the color suits me, though."

Heedo stared at Lee Junsu’s blond hair, and then Park Sohee’s face entered his mind.

Sohee Hyung is blond, too. And now that I’m looking at it closely, Sohee Hyung and Lee Junsu have the same shade of blond.

Moreover...

"Blond suits you both."

Heedo only realized that he said that out loud when Lee Junsu responded.

"Me and who?"

"Sohee Hyung," Heedo said since he had no reason to hide it anyway. "Sohee Hyung has blond hair, too."

"Ah, your husband."

"Contract husband."

"Same difference," Lee Junsu said nonchalantly, and then he quickly changed the subject. "I received a long message from Ho Changmin."

"That’s what I thought. You wouldn’t have asked to meet me otherwise."

"He confessed everything to me," Lee Junsu said. "From going under the knife to have the same face as me, to harming your former hook-ups. He also confessed that he asked Lim Jinwook Hyung to scare your husband, Heedo-ya. If you need evidence to sue him, I’ll send you the screenshots of his messages to me."

"We’ve reached an agreement, so we won’t sue Ho Changmin. But he can break the contract anytime. If he does, we’ll sue him. So, please send the screenshots. It may come in handy later."

"I will."

"Is that the only reason why you wanted to see me?"

"I just want to personally apologize to you, Heedo-ya," Lee Junsu said, his face and voice full of remorse. "Because of me, you and your husband were harmed by Ho Changmin’s obsession."

"It’s not your fault, so you don’t have to apologize. And Sohee Hyung is fine now."

"I’d still like to apologize to your husband when we meet later."

Heedo knitted his eyebrows. "’When?’"

"I think I’ll get the chance to meet Park Sohee-ssi later," Lee Junsu said, his face slightly lighting up. "Our group was invited to perform at your university festival later."

Oh.

It’s the time of the year again, huh?

***

"AW!"

Sohee checked his diamond stud earring in the small box to make sure that it was still there.

But when he tried to touch it, he felt like he had been grounded by electricity.

What the hell did Shaman Jung do to my wedding earring?
