While Lindsey and Radeon began their battle, Curtis descended to the street where the burly undead was shouting.

As the man exited a crumbling building with a smile on his face, he kept yelling that he was looking for a challenge, lowering his gaze and seeing Curtis standing a few meters away from him.

The man had a large body frame, black hair resembling a lion's mane, and a short beard highlighting his jawline.

His body armor was a large shoulder pad supported by a thick string, short pants made of black hide, and a leather belt with a wide buckle.

"Are you a caveman brought back from the dead or something?" Curtis asked as he scrutinized his opponent's attire.

"A challenger!?" The man replied, ignoring Curtis' question.

Seemingly excited about his encounter with the fire wizard, the undead stood tall and introduced himself as "Saturio," a man who used to be known as one of the strongest barbarians in the world of Terra. Now, however, he was Saturio, the Death Knight.

'A warrior…?' Curtis thought.

When he and his sister, Lindsey, spent their time training with the Jade Dragons, Curtis sparred against Zac numerous times, and he believed that fighting Saturio would be similar.

"Tell me your name, warrior!" Saturio exclaimed.

"The name's Curtis—I'm a wizard, not a warrior…" he replied with a serious tone.

"HA! Anyone who steps up to the challenge is a warrior in my eyes!" Saturio shouted.

"I suppose you are not the type of guy to talk things out…" Curtis muttered.

"Talking? Let your attacks do the talking—Words are not needed in battle!" The warrior continued.

As the two of them fell silent, their gazes locked with each other's, and in the blink of an eye, Saturio advanced and appeared right in front of Curtis, slamming his arms down and hitting the ground after the blond quickly moved away from his attack.

"Fire Blast," Curtis muttered while moving back, releasing a wave of fire that exploded in a large cone area before him.

Still, when the smoke dissipated, he saw Saturio standing in the center of the attack with his forearms raised, slightly burnt from the spell.

'He just took that attack head-on?' Curtis pondered.

When he tried to cast another spell, he was interrupted in an instant as Saturio rushed straight forward, charging at him and slamming him to the side with his arm and flinging Curtis into the frame of a building.

"Is that it, warrior!?" Saturio shouted.

"Ugh… I see how it is," Curtis muttered as he removed some rubble from his body.

The blond's head was bleeding after crashing against the wall, so he just wiped his forehead to prevent the blood from blocking his vision.

'This guy might be faster than Zac…' Curtis pondered, raising his arm forward and pointing it at his opponent.

Without saying a word, Curtis produced a blinding flash of light from his hand that made Saturio look away for a brief moment, which was enough for the blond to encase his body with fire and increase his movement speed.

As Saturio raised his gaze after the flash and noticed that Curtis had moved from his spot, he grinned and turned around, sensing the blond's presence behind him.

"Flame Wave," Curtis chanted, raising a wall of fire that blocked the Death Knight's vision once again.

Even though the flames were slightly burning him and making the environment uncomfortably hot, Saturio seemed to enjoy himself in the midst of the fight.

Using his opponent's lack of vision to his advantage, Curtis was able to bend the flames coming from the destroyed building and turn them into a massive flaming pillar that traveled straight at Saturio.

Suddenly, the fire split in half, showcasing Saturio's weapon that had materialized in his hands—a giant double-sided battleaxe.

With one powerful wave of his weapon, Saturio dispersed the fire around him and targeted Curtis, who was standing over ten meters away from him.

The blond quickly reacted when he felt an intense sense of danger, and as Saturio appeared in front of him once again, he produced a powerful booster flame from his hands that blasted him away, avoiding the battleaxe aimed at his skull.

"Eruption!" Curtis shouted, generating a pillar of fire that appeared right under Saturio.

Nevertheless, the Death Knight was able to move quickly from his position and avoided the potent flames that rose from the ground.

"Ember Lance!" Curtis continued casting spells, realizing that he would need to use all of his power if he wanted to defeat the warrior.

As a massive fire spear formed behind the blond, he shot it straight at his opponent, who grinned and moved to the side to avoid it.

Still, Curtis wasn't done, and right after Saturio thought he evaded the attack, the blonde moved his finger and redirected the projectile in mid-air, making it turn to the side and hitting Saturio's torso.

The impact generated a small explosion that shrouded the warrior in black smoke, allowing Curtis to take a quick breath to regain some of the mana he had spent.

"AHAHA! Finally, we are getting to the good part!" Saturio exclaimed as the smoke dissipated. ƒгeeweɓn૦vel.com

When Curtis glanced at him, he saw his attack had left quite an injury on Saturio's ribs. His light gray skin was charred, and the blood trailed down to the ground.

With excitement plastered on his face, Saturio smashed his weapon on the pavement, making it shake momentarily as he banged his chest with his fists.

*Bam, bam, bam…* The sound of his fist hitting his chest echoed in the district, which had turned into a battlefield for them.

As Saturio removed his battleaxe from the floor, he grinned at Curtis and waved his weapon vertically, generating a shockwave that traveled all the way to his location, pushing him back with force.

Curtis rolled on the street for a few meters until he crashed with his back against a vehicle, shattering its windows and bending the doors.

'For fuck's sake… It's like I'm fighting a blood-crazed Zac,' Curtis thought, wiping the blood from his forehead again and standing up, preparing himself for the second round.
