My Ex-Husband Is Proposing Again-Chapter 1184: I’m Not the Person You’re Looking For (6)
Chapter 1184: Chapter 1184: I’m Not the Person You’re Looking For (6)
Su Hongxing quickly approached him, handing over the child to Ding Ye with pride, "This is my son, good-looking, right? Do you want to hold him?"
Ding Ye stared blankly at the pink and tender baby, seemingly at a loss.
Su Hongxing smiled knowingly and handed the child over to him, "Have a hold and see, he’s very well-behaved."
"No way!" Ding Ye withdrew his hands as if electrocuted, his expression somewhat comical.
Seeing this, Su Hongxing couldn’t help but laugh: "What’s the matter? He’s so little; what, could he eat you up?" She then pushed the child into Ding Ye’s arms again.
Ding Ye clumsily caught him. The child, just over two months old, was a soft bundle, and he didn’t know how to position his arms and legs, his movements very stiff.
Su Hongxing patiently instructed him from the side, "Don’t be nervous, he won’t fall. Your posture is wrong; you need to hold him horizontally, yes, just like that..."
Under her guidance, Ding Ye finally found a somewhat correct way to hold the baby, and she felt quite relieved. When she looked at Ding Ye, she saw his head was covered in sweat.
She chuckled and took a tissue to wipe his sweat, "If somebody didn’t know better, they’d think you’ve been through a battle. Is there a need to be that nervous?"
She clearly remembered that when the child was just born he had held him too, and back then his movements were quite smooth. Now why is he so nervous? Has it been too long since he last held a child?!
"I need to work, you take him away." Ding Ye maintained the stiff posture of holding the child, daring not to move.
"I’m tired, let me rest first." Su Hongxing saw the child pout his mouth and laughed, "This child likes you. Look, he’s smiling. You know, he really recognizes people. When Cao Shiyu touched him, he cried. He only smiles at people he likes."
The child looked at Ding Ye, and Ding Ye looked back at the child. The large and the small staring at each other made for an especially amusing scene.
Su Hongxing quickly took several photos with her phone, busy and overjoyed.
Assistant Luo, a bit concerned, found an excuse to enter the office. As a result, he pushed open the office door to find Ding Ye holding the baby while working.
He was somewhat stunned, hardly able to imagine this was their company’s usually stern Ding. The image of him holding a child was too dissonant with Ding Ye’s characteristic features, too painful to witness directly.
Yet there was Su Hongxing playing mobile games on the side, not taking care of the child herself but leaving the child in Ding Ye’s care.
Assistant Luo was quite frustrated and walked up to Su Hongxing, kicking her foot, "Miss Su, why did you leave the child with Director Ding?"
If clients saw this scene, wouldn’t it sound terrible?
"Don’t you think Director Ding has a natural talent for taking care of children?" Su Hongxing replied with a smile.
Initially, Ding Ye was indeed clumsy at holding the baby, but he quickly adjusted. Just now she was about to take the child back, but it was Ding Ye himself who wouldn’t let go. She couldn’t be blamed for that.
"Our Director Ding is a man meant for big things!" Assistant Luo was very conflicted.
Su Hongxing smiled, walked up to Ding Ye and said, "Give me the child, I need to go home now, don’t want to disturb your work."
"You have things to do at home?" Ding Ye asked.
Assistant Luo felt something fishy as soon as he heard this question. Ding Ye usually didn’t speak much; his starting a conversation must mean there was more to come.
"Not really anything important," Su Hongxing replied honestly.
"Then there’s no need to rush back. Wait for me to finish work, and I’ll treat you to dinner. Didn’t you say earlier that holding the child was tiring? I’ll hold the child for you, and if you are bored, you can lie down in the resting room for a while."
