Midwak and Gary were running along the outside of the glass of the large Garden, with Midwak taking the lead. Both of them were carrying one person each.

It was in a split second that Gary had to realise why Innu had jumped towards him, after thinking back to the words he spoke it was all making sense.

If they were to run they needed to run at full speed. They were running against Werewolves. Predators that were great at hunting, and Innu was beyond drained, so it was the best option for them.

Honestly, Gary was quite surprised with Innu's quick thinking, but it always did seem to be the case, in a desperate situation, he could find the best way out of situations, maybe it was how he managed to survive so far.

Seeing how Blake's father was nowhere to be seen, Gary thought it was best to not ask the question, especially since Blake was knocked out as well.

The two of them leaped off the glass and as they did the force from them jumping had shattered it. The two then landed on top of a rooftop building, and continued forward.

As they turned their head, they could see though, there was still a large amount of Werewolves following them, all of them moving at various different speeds, and at the very back of them all, Ylva was still with them as well.

"As long as she stays with them, I imagine the rest of these guys still get a boost right?" Gary asked.

"Correct." Midwak grunted, he was hoping they would give up.

"This isn't good." Gary said. "Right now we're heading to where Lupus and the others are. They are going to have enough trouble as it is fighting against them.

"If we bring all of these with us, it will only make the situation harder not easier."

They continued to run, but as to where, Gary didn't want to head to the Garden where the others were, but judging by Midwak not replying he didn't have much of a plan either.

"I don't understand!" Innu said. "The sun is out right, so aren't people going to start coming out soon, maybe out already. They'll see all of the Werewolves jumping across rooftops, don't they want to keep this whole thing a secret!"

"That won't be much of a problem." Midwak answered. "In the first place, the general public think they are just Altered. Those that have lived here, think that the Lupus gang is a group of Wolf-like Altered, so that's one thing.

"As for the second, Lupus controls this entire city he always has done. With such a large situation like this, I imagine that he has made procedures already.

"They will have blocked all forms of signal so phones will no longer work. They'll stop the internet within the area, and they probably already will have controlled the people coming in and out of the city.

"No information will be leaving this city, and as for other things if they happen… the Werewolves have never had to worry about that."

"What do you mean?" Innu asked.

"The Werewolves and Vampires have had their fair share of problems with each other. But neither side wants the public to know the truth.

"Lupus will limit the information within this city, and the Vampires will make it seem like it never happened."

"They can do that?" Innu asked, shocked, it sounded impossible.

For Gary though, who had seen what the Vampires were capable of, of clearing out an entire city like Slough, he believed it.

Still that didn't help them at all with the situation they were in.

'The best way to stop all of these from following us… is to stop Ylva… but I need to do it fast. The last time, I was unprepared and the Werewolves got the jump on us, and I had to worry about the others as well…'

Gary started to think about his options and he had three of them. He could use his Dragon Form, but doing so came with serious downsides and he might need to use that against Lupus.

Then there was his special weapon he had received, but he didn't know how to fully utilise it. In some cases it might be worse for ending a battle quickly. freёwebnoѵel.com

There was also one powerful feature of the weapon that Gary wanted to use. In this case it wasn't that he didn't think he couldn't beat Ylva it was how to beat her in the fastest way possible.

"Keep running!" Gary said. "I'm going to take care of Ylva… and I'll catch up with you."

"Gary!" Midwak shouted.

"Don't worry, I remember, and remember your promise as well!" Gary shouted back, as he turned around.

He was running past the Werewolves that had shocked them slightly, They didn't know whether to go for Gary or continue running after the rest.

As Gary made his way to Ylva she couldn't help but smile.

"I figured out your class a while ago, and I know why you're in such a rush, you're not the same in this state, don't underestimate my strength!" Ylva said as her iris started to glow.

Her premonition abilities were coming into play, as she knew what Gary's next moves were going to be, but when she looked into the future of things, she stopped right on one of the house's rooftops.

"How… how can you?"

Gary's eyes started to glow red.

"There's one more thing I got with the class upgrade. I can only use it once per day, but in this situation, I guess it's the perfect time."

For a moment, both of Gary's pupils had turned jet black, and not a single piece of light could be seen in them, as he activated his special skill.
