Overlord Tamer: All My Pet Monsters Have God Potential-Chapter 120: Soul Talent, Jibril Wakes Up
Chapter 120: Soul Talent, Jibril Wakes Up
"Great. He is manifesting a soul talent," Chuthulos said, grinning. "As they say, fortune favors the bold."
Azelis’s eyes widened in shock.
Soul Talent’s manifestation was a rare phenomenon, but John had already received two.
The first one was due to the old method of ranking up by ingesting resources, which was also a reckless thing to do, as it was very painful, yet he did that and awakened a soul talent upon ranking up to Silver-rank.
And now this.
Even she had awakened two Soul Talents so far, and John was already caught up in that regard.
"I’ll send him to the bedroom," Chuthulos said as he waved one of his tentacles, sending John to the emperor-sized bed in his bedroom where Jibril was also still sleeping.
"Well, I don’t know what to do, so do you have any idea?" Azelis wryly asked.
"I can give you the Monster Geno Art that John got for you," Chuthulos said before one of his tentacles entered a portal, accessing John’s storage space, and took out a mysterious book with exotic patterns of dark gold swords, purple crystal designs, and shadowy demonic monsters.
Azelis looked at the book, feeling the extraordinariness it gave off. "Don’t tell me the Monster Geno Art is in this book?"
She had never seen such a Monster Geno Art!
Azelis grabbed the book as Chuthulos extended it to her and asked, "What rank of Monster Geno Art is this?"
Chuthulos grinned. "Its last stage is higher than Sovereign-rank, that’s all you need to know."
The ruling sects and big forces had monopolized the Monster Geno Arts, keeping Emperor and Sovereign-rank Geno Arts to themselves while only giving out King-rank to other smaller sects, so their Tamers’ physical stats couldn’t get stronger than the peak of King-rank, unless those Tamers joined the big sects.
There were only some lucky individuals who acquired Monster Geno Arts of higher rank by chance while exploring the Archipelago.
But each lucky person was merely one out of over ten who died in the same attempt to get lucky.
And now, she was getting a Monster Geno Art above Sovereign-rank...
Azelis opened the book and a wave of spirit energy in a unique vibe oozed out and entered her.
"Drop your blood in it so that the book can be stored in your soul space. It will be bound to you and you can view its content in your mind."
Azelis nodded and dropped a small drop of blood on it, causing it to shine briefly before it turned into a light and vanished into her.
"Ink-Shade Blightborn Warrior...." Azelis muttered. "Sword attribute?!"
Azelis’s eyes shone. "T-This is perfect."
She was a master of the sword, as she liked it more and worked hard to hone her style.
And now, this new Monster Geno Art she was going train in had a frigging sword attribute!
Her increasing excitement was clearly visible in her eyes and expression.
"This is awesome!"
"Well, good luck training in it. I shall go now," Chuthulos said with a chuckle before disappearing.
"Eh? Where did he go from here?" Azelis was startled. ’Outside? But...that can’t be...’
"Don’t know. He just appears and disappears randomly," Becky said as her big eyes looked at Azelis. "Becky won’t allow you to take resources from this garden. It’s for Master."
Azelis chuckled and patted Becky’s head. "Don’t worry, I will not take resources from here."
"Mhmm."
Becky left after nodding, resuming her tending to the growing resources.
Meanwhile, Azelis flew up and took out her six Pet Monsters. They were in mini forms, and Azelis supported two who couldn’t fly using her Wind mastery.
"Yo, what kind of place...is..this?!!!" The black dragon was shocked. "Why am I speaking like humans?!"
"Aa...aaa...uuu...You’re right, Asher! Is it because we are here in this?!"
"What kind of magical place is this?!"
Azelis smiled at the surprise and shock of her Pets.
"You can relax here and also play football there. But don’t bully anyone just because you are stronger than other Monsters here, okay? The Master of this place is super strong."
"You see those two?" Azelis pointed at Jason and Tavros in the prison cells.
The Monsters looked there and were shocked!
They recognized the two guys, and one of them was stronger than their Master!
"How?!"
"Who did that, master?!"
"The master of this place, duh."
Azelis nodded. "Yes. So don’t be naughty. The master of this place can snap his finger and you all will be imprisoned."
"Who is the Master?" Asher, the black dragon, curiously asked.
"Well, you all have seen him once or twice at least," Azelis said with a chuckle. "You’ll see him later. For now, go play and enjoy."
...
While her Pet Monsters began playing or roaming around, Azelis sat down at a good, peaceful spot near the lake, under a tree, and began training in the new Monster Geno Art in the proper way— in her Spirit Physique.
Although her progress transferred to the Spirit Physique, she no longer had any Geno Abilities.
To acquire the Geno Abilities of this new Monster Geno Art, she would need resources.
Fortunately, she could at least gain her first Geno Ability right now because she had a bunch of Silver and Gold-rank resources in her storage ring that she was going to store in Logistic Hall, which didn’t matter anymore now that she had resigned.
The first Geno Ability required Silver-rank resources. Azelis read the information of the Monster Geno Art and took out—
1 x Darkness attributed resource.
1 x Crystal attributed resource.
1 x Shadow attributed resource.
1 x Water attributed resource.
The book itself had distinct spirituality of its attributes, so all she had to do was to refine the resources and use their energy to connect patterns in her Spirit Physique based on the Geno Ability she chose, as each Geno Ability had different patterns to connect to awaken it.
Shadow Ink / Crystal Blight / Sword.
Shadow Ink was Shadow and Water attributes mixed with variation.
Crystal Blight was Crystal and Darkness attributes mixed with variation.
Sword wasn’t an elemental attribute, but an ethereal one, requiring one’s own soul energy infused with the intent of the Sword produced by one’s Sword Mastery.
Azelis absorbed the first resources first and refined them into spirit energy before familiarizing it with the spirituality of the book to give the signature of Shadow Ink and Crystal Blight attributes.
’Now, let’s see which Geno Ability I should choose first.’ Azelis looked at the section in the book where the Geno Abilities were listed.
’Wow...’
She couldn’t help but get thrilled as she read the details of the Geno Abilities.
...
Four hours passed by and Jibril woke up.
The first thing she saw was John sleeping beside her.
Her mind was blank. No thoughts were coming to it as she got up and looked around.
"Where is this place?" Jibril muttered. She had never been in such a luxurious room before.
And then, the memories began activating as the last things that happened to her surfaced in her mind.
She remembered the prison and the decapitated heads of her parents as her face paled instantly and her eyes welled up with tears again. ’Mom, dad...’
Getting off the bed, she walked towards the window when suddenly, Azelis arrived in the room, sent by Chuthulos, who sensed Jibril waking up.
"Senior Azelis..." Jibril’s lips trembled. "T-They killed my parents."
Azelis bit her lip and hugged her. "Those two were wrong and evil. And they are being punished. John has given them a fate worse than death."
"And he also got your parents’ bodies, so you can properly say farewell to them."
Jibril began bawling her eyes out.
"Cry and release all the emotions, but know that you are fine now and nothing will happen to you."
"Not just fine," John woke up as he spoke, his voice firm. "I’ll make sure you make your parents feel proud as they watch you from the afterlife. Even if not directly, this was my fault, and I intend to make it up to you."
Jibril turned to him and wiped her face. "It’s my fault..."
"Shut it, both of you," Azelis said with a snort. "It’s not your or his fault. It’s the wrongdoing of Jason and Tarvos. It is their fault."
"And they will suffer," John coldly said as he got off the bed and walked towards Jibril. "Come, see the fate of those two that took away your parents."
"I will make it worse for them each day while giving them hope, and when I am done experimenting on them, I will take that hope and drop them in the pit of despair right before their death."
Jibril clenched her fist. "Let me give them the death when the time comes."
"You can do that if that’s what you want. Come."
John snapped his finger as he teleported Azelis, Jibril, and himself before the prison cells.
’I have given them unimaginable pain already, so Tavros had already gone half-mad and only the hope I gave them of freedom is keeping him sane.’
’That bald bastard is sane and silent mostly, but his eyes show the hate.’
John relayed to Jibril in a magic whisper.
"T-This..." Jibril was startled at the sudden gibberish uttered by Tavros as he grabbed the bars.
"I don’t know what he is saying. I didn’t want to hear anything they spoke, so I made it so that whatever comes out of their mouths is gibberish."
John kicked the bars in Jason’s prison. "You both want to get freedom or not?"
Jason didn’t say anything, but Tavros began uttering gibberish.
"Make 2-centimeter spikes all over the prison, that randomly grow to 4 centimeters and shrink to 1 centimeter every second."
In the next moment, a few Molding Essence were consumed, and the prison turned spiky.
Tavros began shouting and crying as the volatile spikes pierced him, starting a bloody mess while Jason’s face turned ugly as he moved around, but slowly and stably.
Jibril looked at them as they suffered, but it didn’t make her happy. However, she wanted to make them suffer nonetheless.
"You took away my parents. They were simple and loving people who only wanted my happiness and peace. They simply worked every day and were living peacefully without hurting anyone," Jibril said as she hatefully looked at them, her eyes red. "And you took them away."
"No matter how much you both suffer, it won’t bring my parents back."
Jibril turned around, no longer wanting to see them as her fist clenched.
"So I don’t care if you live or die. As long as you suffer first, I don’t care if you get freedom later," Jibril spoke, her eyes hateful as she lied without blinking an eye.
She was giving them false hope, as John said, because she wanted to make them suffer!
Instead of freedom at last, she would give them death with her own hands!
"There you go," John said as he sneered at the duo. "If you manage to endure suffering, you’ll get freedom."
"Let’s go, we don’t need to see their rotten faces anymore."
John teleported again, arriving near the garden with the ladies.
"John, what is this place?" Jibril asked the question she wanted to ask the most, but was sidetracked.
John grinned. "This is Monster Paradise, my private world."
Azelis smiled and said, "Let me show you this place from the sky, so you can watch it."
Azelis waved her hand, creating whirling winds around John and Jibril as they flew up.
...
They looked around a bit at all areas and also met Monsters that gave her shock as they spoke like humans.
She already saw many absurd things at once after waking up, and she became kind of numb and accepted everything easily.
Her mood improved as well.
"John, you’ve got a soul talent alongside awakening your Space affinity if you don’t know. Why don’t you show us that talent?" Azelis asked with a grin.
"You awakened Space affinity?! And awakened a soul talent, too?!" Jibril looked at John, shocked.
"Haha, yeah. Well, let me see what I got."
As John focused, the same thing happened when he awakened his first talent!
He got three options to choose from!
’Hell yeah!’
