Roby’s unexpected applaud winced Kylian a little as he could really see him making heart eyes at him, and not only him, Dan and Jack also had the exact gaze of affection towards him which somehow surprised him a little.

Even though he was faking his real trait, Kylian felt Roby’s words a bit insulting when he scolded him in a cold mumble, "Are you also prejudiced towards omegas like the other Alphas? Should an omega always be weak and whiny just according to your expectation"

"What? No...I didn’t mean that—"

"They can be stronger too, but the world has made it a fuckin’ hell to exist for the omegas, with their heads high, just like other Alphas or betas exist here. So yes, even if I was an omega, I would’ve reacted just this way towards those damn bullies. Take it as advice, it shouldn’t be wise of you to keep this prejudiced attitude, Roby."

Kylian’s unexpected grumble winced all the boys around him, especially Stephan who narrowed his cold gaze upon him. When he was done speaking, Kylian moved towards the washroom, leaving those boys behind, confusedly glancing at each other.

"I don’t understand, why Kylian felt offended if Roby called omegas weak. I know the world has been prejudiced towards omegas, but it is a fact. They need protection from the Alphas or Betas to survive, that’s the way they were born. But...as an Alpha himself, didn’t he react a bit too much?"

As soon as Kylian disappeared from their gaze, Dan sounded a little curious while asking that to Stephan who stared all the way, watching Kylian from behind.

But somehow his dark hazel eyes looked a little skeptical, when he muttered in a cold voice, "He seems kind of sensitive when it comes to omegas...so it’s better we shouldn’t use any term which might offend him in the future. "Damn it!" Splashing his face with a palm full of cold water, Kylian blankly stared at himself at the mirror of the restroom, while grumbling on his own.

Even though his meal was interrupted by Fred and the gang of bullies, Kylian made sure to bring his medicine along with him inside the washroom and swallowed it quickly, to make sure his pheromones wouldn’t be emitted as they please.

However, while gazing at his own reflection in the mirror, he felt a pang of anxiousness forming inside his chest when he muttered to himself, "I think...I reacted a bit too much against Roby...it was just a normal conversation. But...I just can’t help but feel like a fuckin’ shit whenever someone defines an omega as a weak being. It irritates the hell out of me...especially now that I have become one. But I don’t want anyone to look down on omegas... Zenith didn’t belittle me either even though he saw my transition, and yet why would anyone else..."

While he was grumbling to himself, Kylian trailed off his words, realizing that subconsciously he had started comparing himself with Zenith, in terms of how they were treating him. Indeed after knowing his secret, Zenith had plenty of chances to look down upon him, even though he was also a prejudiced Alpha himself.

But he didn’t. Rather, he was constantly worried about him and made sure he wouldn’t run into any danger, to the extent of agreeing to his condition of not bullying anyone ever again.

Reminiscing the series of events that happened between Zenith and him, Kylian could feel his cheeks had started to feel hot, with a reddish hue visible in them. Before he was about to splash some more cold water on him, his wolf Morpheus commented inside him.

"Shut up, I don’t need your stupid commentary now. First Alpha, my ass." Even though he always tried to act firm to the point of lying to himself, he knew Morpheus would accurately see through his inner feelings, and would pronounce them correctly even if he didn’t want to hear them out aloud.

~ "So, now did you finally realize he’s different from others? He’s being so gentle and sincere towards you, even after learning your secret. But look at the rest of the men in the world, would they treat you this way even if they find out that you are an omega? I don’t think so..." Morpheus sounded very gentle from his tone, but just hearing him, Kylian could evidently interpret his concern for him.

"You’re right...unfortunately, I realize that he’s different from the other men. Even though he pisses me off, but...I tend to be safe in his presence. Is it natural to feel this way towards a bully? What if those boys were right?

"After hearing what Zenith and his gang had did to them...What if he hurts me too in the end? Should I avoid their warning and still trust him?" Fiddling his fingers, Kylian asked Morpheus in a perplexed tone, but hearing him, his wolf could accurately understand the dubiousness in his tone about the uncertain future of the complicated relation between them.

~ "Don’t underestimate your ancestral wolf, Kylian. If Zenith tries to hurt or torment you later onwards...I can always take over your body and rip out his throat. At least you’ll have me and you’re not completely alone...even if things tend to go wrong in the future. But trust my instincts...I can never go wrong, Kylian. Put your faith in Zenith, you will be the safest with him...at least inside the Elite Academy."

Heeding Morpheus’s consoling words, Kylian smiled widely as the tide of uneasy emotions inside him found a bit of solace.

Exhaling a heavy sigh, he murmured on his own, "I had expected Zenith to also follow inside the Cafeteria after his gang...but where did he suddenly vanish? Everything feels strangely peaceful when he’s not around... Wait...have I started to crave for his presence already?"
