POSSESSION: The Hidden Omega In All Alphas' Academy [BL]-Chapter 107: Something Doesn’t Sits Right
Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Something Doesn’t Sits Right
After waking up from his long, peaceful nap, the first thing Zenith intended to do was rush outside to look for Kylian, since he was unable to detect his pheromones anywhere near the building.
But the moment he walked out of the classroom, approaching footsteps and a deep familiar voice called him from behind, "Zenith?"
He paused, quickly turning his head behind to see it was his homeroom teacher Mr. Matt who had approached him there. Mr. Matt had a somber expression on his face when he urged him, "Good thing you’re awake now. You need to come with me somewhere—"
"I can’t." Zenith adamantly declined, narrowing his dark eyes at him while sounding uneasy, "I need to go and look for someone now, it’s necessary."
"But it shouldn’t be more necessary than showing your teacher a bit of respect, at least."
Even though the whole administration of the Elite Academy was completely biased towards Zenith being blinded by his father’s influence, Mr. Matt had always found it unfair to give special privileges to a student for whom so many students have suffered inside the Academy.
Though he wasn’t allowed to rebuke him, still, Mr. Matt grunted at him, "You need to come with me to the Principal’s office right now. Your task can wait at least for a while until you’re done talking to him."
Unlike before, Zenith would have just arrogantly walked away from there without showing the slightest intention to obey any command, be it from the teachers or the Principal himself.
But now, after meeting Kylian, he had realized that his inner self slowly wanted to change into a better form of a person.
Instead of behaving like a rebellious brat...he tended to act a bit maturely as he obeyed his words, with a small nod. "Fine, I will come with you, Teacher."
Mr. Matt flinched a little from his quick obedience as he didn’t expect him to follow after him easily in the first place. But getting his response, he started heading in the opposite direction of the hallway that led to the Principal’s office, sensing that Zenith was indeed coming after him.
"Zenith, actually, I was thinking of having a quick conversation with you as well..." Getting a boost of confidence inside to deal with him, Mr. Matt uttered in a gentle but concerned voice, after a brief pause. "That boy who sat next to you today, be honest with me...did you threaten him with something to make him heed your command?"
"Hah," a look of discontent was evident on Zenith’s handsome face, when he grumbled in a cold voice, "I still don’t realize how everyone around Kylian gets overly concerned about him, eh? It kind of pisses me off..."
"Huh? As a teacher, I must worry for every student. It’s my duty." However, without realizing the hint of jealousy in his tone, Mr. Matt came up with his defense as a simple-minded person himself.
Without letting him understand his unpleasant feelings, Zenith blatantly answered, "It’s not like I will eat him up if he sits with me. I can understand your concern, but whatever dispute has happened between us, it’s all in the past now. You don’t have to worry about him too much, Teacher.
"Kylian will be safe with me...and I should be the only Alpha he must rely on...here."
They had reached the Principal’s office and before walking inside the door, Zenith grumbled and had indirectly warned Mr. Matt as a fellow Alpha to not barge into someone else’s territory, since Zenith had already considered Kylian as his own person.
Watching a cold smile tossed at him before Zenith marched inside, Mr. Matt stayed confusedly still outside the door as he muttered on his own, "Did I mistake his tone...or Zenith was warning me to stay away from Kylian with his Alpha instincts as if he was jealous? No...how can I come up with such a ridiculous assumption?"
....
"You had called for me, Sir?"
"Oh, Zenith? You came..." The Principal, Mr. Pablo, was a middle-aged Alpha in his late 40s, but he looked quite younger than his age.
He was one of the benefactors of Zenith’s father, Dolemort who had aided him with his power and influence to be elected as the Principal of the Elite Academy, which was the dream for any reputed professors across the whole country. Since that day, Mr. Pablo had aided Dolemort with anything and everything, even agreeing to his every request when Zenith got himself into trouble inside the Academy.
With his greyish black hair neatly styled with a gel, his handsome face shimmered under the glistening sunrays when Mr. Pablo enthusiastically greeted him with a smile, "Have a seat, Zenith. I had summoned you here to have an important conversation."
Even though none of the students in the whole Academy had the privilege to take their seat in front of the Principal, watching Mr. Pablo who was nothing other than his father’s puppet give him special treatment had already started to make Zenith feel agitated inside.
Zenith detested his father’s influence from his core, and that turned him detestable towards all the people who were actually benefitted from his Dolemort’s corrupted influence.
Thus, Zenith didn’t heed his request, and rather chose to stand firmly with a stony expression on his face as he conveyed, "Just say what did you want to speak about? I am fine standing here and listening to you."
"Um, alright." Mr. Pablo tried to sound cordial from his tone, despite realizing Zenith was trying to maintain his boundary with him there, "I have a good news for you. Your father had personally called me to ask for a few days of leave of absence for you, next week. Of course, I have agreed, and you don’t need to worry about the lessons. I will make sure to convey my order to the teachers who will help you to make up all the missing lectures after you return—"
"Firstly, there is nothing good about this news for me." Zenith coldly intervened in between his mumble, making the Principal flinch when he glowered his gaze on him. "I was supposed to go to the Agastya Mansion for one day...because it’s my mother’s death anniversary. Usually, just the thought of visiting there makes me riled with disgust, but since this was an important occasion for me, I couldn’t miss it. And...as I said, there’s nothing to feel happy about in that day."
"Oh...Ahem..." Awkwardly letting out a hoarse cough, Mr. Pablo tried to keep his serene smile intact while answering him, "No...I didn’t mean it like that—"
"And secondly," Zenith interrupted him once again, making his voice sound more angsty than before as he spoke, "I will be there for only one day and will return here the very next day. So, there’s no need for granting me any leave of absence because I despise the idea of staying there for even one extra second, without any occasion."
"Um, yes...I can understand that through your tone. But...your father had specifically mentioned to me to give you a few days of leave...and he also said that his secretary, Mr. Clark would talk to you about that. So...you can discuss that with him later onwards..."
Anxiously answering him, Mr. Pablo stood up from his seat he slowly approached Zenith. "I also wanted to have a talk with you about the new enrolled student here, his name...Kylian Marley. I have heard from the Superintendent Officer that he has been picking up a fight with you since the day of his arrival here. Do you want me to step into the matter or something—"
"That’s rubbish."
Zenith grumbled at him, as his protective instincts for Kylian triggered in when he grunted, meeting his gaze fiercely, "Kylian and I have no issues with each other. We are doing great, and it was me who had commanded one of my men to steal Kylian’s room key from the Superintendant office. If you want to give me any punishment, I will accept that. But don’t judge him based on groundless rumors. It doesn’t suit your image as the Principal of the Academy, though I know you have obtained this position without deserving it anyway."
Mr. Pablo had a cordial look on his face but hearing Zenith’s grunt, his expression turned a bit surly. His grey pupils dilated, making his anger evident in his gaze but he deliberately suppressed it with a forged smile, "Oh, okay. Then, feel free to leave, Zenith. It was nice talking to you."
"Then, have a good day ahead." Zenith held a cryptic smirk, realizing that his words had irked the Principal which he deliberately wanted to do.
The moment he exited out of his office, Mr. Pablo fiercely kicked on the wooden table near him, smashing the glass counter on it into pieces. He gritted his jaws, while his eyes were rolled in fury, "That darn little brat! If only I weren’t indebted to his father...I would’ve ripped off his mouth by now already! Instead of being thankful to me for clearing after his messes, how dare he insult me!?
"But wait...this is the first time I have ever seen him act protective for someone...especially a rookie. I am sure I didn’t hear it wrong from the superintendent about the fight between them...but why would he try to protect that boy from facing any action?
