Chapter 113: Chapter 113 - The drug T

Hana sat outside the ward, worriedly shaking her legs. The chairs were quite tall for her, making her feet dangle slightly. She peered at her dirty shoes, anxiously biting her lips. By now, her family would have found out about her runaway act.

She took out her phone from her duffle bag and peered at it nervously. Weirdly, there were no missed calls.

"It’s better I face their scoldings after I reach home." Thinking this, she switched off her phone and dropped it into her bag.

A few doctors walked past her, silently murmuring to themselves. "Goodness, Muchen is pregnant. Do you think...?"

"Oh, he definitely did it with that college student. Do you remember that rumor?"

"Ohhh, that made me shiver. Men getting pregnant is bizarre, man." One of the doctors mumbled, massaging his brows.

"What is wrong with your hand?" the other doctor whispered, gazing at his bandaged palm.

"Oh, some crazy patient bit me. Geez, I just want a break. These crazy ones are going out of control. I heard it’s because of some new drug."

"You think so?"

"Yeah, I heard it’s something called T. It became quite famous in the underground bars since last month. Now it’s making these people insane." The doctor rolled his eyes. "My everything hurts... Can I just go home?"

The other doctor chuckled. "Even if you whine and cry, they won’t let you go home. We are short-staffed. Plus, don’t you want to know what happens to Mister Muchen’s child?" The man grinned.

Listening long enough to their conversation, Hana intervened. "That’s enough." She glared up at them.

The two doctors just looked at her, raising their brows.

"You just signed an NDA. Talking shit like this is what is going to get you sued." Hana stood up, trying to make herself more intimidating, but even so, her height was just... not up to par.

The doctors simply rolled their eyes and walked away.

Sighing, Hana glared at their backs. "All they know is talk gibberish."

Someone came up behind her, standing tall, casting a shadow. Hana turned back to look at this person. It was a doctor in a white coat. Strangely, the man had a blank expression on his young face. He had a striking face with peach blossom eyes, a straight nose, and small pink lips. Weirdly, he did not look a day older than eighteen.

"You look too young to be a doctor," she commented in a daze.

With that same blank look, the person peered into her. "I’m not a doctor. I’m just a research specialist hired by the hospital."

Feeling his intense gaze, Hana grinned. She knew she had the looks, and many of her schoolmates had secret crushes on her. So, she secretly relished in the handsome young man’s attention.

"Well, research specialist~ what is your name~?"

The boy coldly peered down at her. "Move out of the way."

"Move out of the way is a big name..." she paused to think. "Huh?"

The boy gestured behind her. "Move out of the way."

Gazing back, Hana saw that she was standing right in front of the door labeled "Lab." Grimacing, she stepped aside.

The man coldly entered the room without even giving her another glance.

Hana pouted, touching her face. She had traveled a whole night without stopping. Of course, she didn’t care if she washed her face or not. Swiftly, she took out her dead phone and gazed at her vague reflection. "I don’t look that bad. Tsk, I might not be his cup of tea. Besides, he must be old. I don’t date old guys." Huffing, she walked over to Muchen’s ward.

Outside the door, she heard vague sounds of cursing. Poking her head in, she listened to Muchen cuss out loud.

Hana gasped. "Wow, he looks so handsome even when he is cursing."

Noticing her presence, Muchen shut his mouth with a steaming look on his face. He gripped his duvet tightly. "Where is your brother?!"

Grinning awkwardly, Hana entered the ward. "Actually, I came here to talk to you about that... You see, my brother has been acting weird this past month. He has been stuck in his room, not talking to us. He barely eats."

Muchen’s grip on the blanket tightened even further. "Why is that?" He ragingly glared at her. He knew that this little girl was not at fault, but that strikingly similar face made him burn with fury.

"I came here to ask you that..." she sheepishly whispered as she huddled close. "You see, last month, he came back from that date with you, and from that day on, he has been weird. Plus, your fans were not making things easy for us. So, Mom had us move." fгeewebnovёl.com

Muchen took a deep breath. "Where?"

"To City S. We live in a small rural village. I even had to take a month off from school. I feel so left behind." She sat on the edge of the bed, looking at his face intensely. "So, can you tell me what happened?"

The once shining star suddenly looked so dejected. He wiped his face tiredly. "I don’t know. I got sick in the middle of the date and had to leave... Maybe that upset him. I mean, how can he be so childish? It was just one date. I made sure to treat him well! Fuck, I even bottomed for him!" After shouting that out, his face turned a deep shade of pink.

He hurriedly looked away, clearing his throat. "As I was saying, I have nothing to do with him. He... he left on his own. Fucker, I’m going to find him and tie him up until he spits out what is on his mind." He gritted his teeth.

He had failed to notice the signs. Actually, Yunfeng had been in a strange mood the past couple of weeks before his disappearance. He would strangely bring up the topic of children and would sometimes have that dejected look on his face.

"How did I not notice it?! Fuck, something must be bothering that boy!" He took a deep breath to calm his aching heart.

"When I see him, I’m going to throttle him until he spits it out!"

Suddenly, a loud scream was heard out in the corridor.

Everyone froze. Shao instantly went to check outside. A few doctors were seen running away frantically. One of them stopped by him with blood dripping down his neck. "Fuck... they have gone crazy!" The man panted, blood pooling down his mouth.

Shao gripped his shoulders and helped him sit. "I’ll call a doctor." But the man gripped his forearm tightly.

"No... just... just run. There are too many." Just after saying that, Shao watched the man’s eyes dull over.

His blank eyes peered up at him, lifeless.

Shao froze. "Fuck... hey, hey..." He cupped the man’s neck tightly in an attempt to stop the blood flow.

All of a sudden, the man’s empty eyes turned into a weird shade of red. It was like blood was pooling directly into his eyes, spilling over like tears.

The man’s body started trembling violently, and the next second, he pounced on Shao.

Taken by surprise, Shao was pushed down. The cold floor made his whole body tremble while a very hot body struggled on top of him.

The doctor was frantically trying to take a bite off his neck.

Shao hurriedly pushed him off.

The man did not give up. He gripped his shin, taking a bite at his leg.

Thankfully, Shao moved in time, and the man was only able to bite into his sturdy, thick shoes.

"Ryan!" someone shouted, gripping the crazy doctor by his shoulders. "What are you doing..."

The rabid man found a new target and pounced on the doctor who was trying to stop him.

Shao watched in shock as the man tore into the doctor’s neck. Pieces of warm flesh and blood splattered on his face, snapping him out of his daze.

Panting, he crawled backward and ran to the ward. He tightly closed the door behind him, breathing heavily.

"Shao... are you hurt?!" Muchen shouted from the bed, but the numerous wires were still attached to him, preventing him from running over.

Shao looked back at the two with absolute fear in his eyes. "They... they are eating each other... Fuck, it’s a monster!"
