Star Gate-Chapter 1136: Improvement of All Hands (I)

Li Hao reappeared over Silver City airspace and hovered beneath the diagram of the eight trigrams. He glanced at its internal workings—the red line representing the Li family was much weaker than before.

Tendrils of scarlet energy were infiltrating Silver City.

Almost all of the regular citizens of Silver City had been evacuated. Millions of soldiers were camped inside and out of the city. Innumerable people had congregated on the locale—all of them supernaturals. Each instance of absorbing energy created a small energy storm.

While everyone speculated over why Great Li was withdrawing its army and the absence of Silver City powerhouses, Li Hao busily planted supernatural characters in various parts of the city. He also hid countless energy stones in various corners.

The young man wanted to drag the entire city into the Hao Cosmos, or perhaps have the dao universe descend for a second and cleanse Silver City.

It was unknown how many were affected by the Red Moon power and he didn’t have time to identify them one by one. In that case, he would give this idea a try. It would also be an opportunity for everyone.

Li Hao didn’t give advance notification of the events to come. That would leak his intentions and give time for some to escape. There might even be riots that developed. When the Hao Cosmos descended, mutineers would naturally die.

A small horde of energy stones was hidden throughout every corner of Silver City. They would be the activation energy for the formation. A tiny bit of strength from an exalted emperor would be more than enough to enhance the soldiers.

Time passed second by second. Some powerhouses arrived at Silver City—Huang Yu of the army and some of the commanders. They were going to select their people from the millions camped in Silver City.

This time, Li Hao delegated his authority to others beneath his command. He was no longer solely in charge of the military, that was the five commanders. The army and navy both had their own portion of strength, as did the Inspectorate.

Everyone was here to choose a batch of elites for their troops.

The armies stationed at Silver City had received word; they didn’t hide anything. Silver Moon province was going to disband part of the military and some of the elites would be redeployed to various troops for war.

Some were gratified to be spared from further fighting, others were disappointed.

Many armies had congregated on this spot, but no one was willing to stay. It was too dangerous and they’d suffered numerous injuries after many days of fighting. Although Great Li seemed ready to retreat, Silver City’s side was still worried that battle would break out again.

The Great Li king frowned slightly at what he sensed. He’d received a message from Li Hao earlier that asked him to wait until tomorrow for his retreat. There was no rush at the moment.

Not only that, but Gan Wuliang had come.

The Great Li king did not like this person—Gan Wuliang did not fit in with the typical Silver Moon style and seemed rather two-faced. But once Gan Wuliang explained his purpose of helping Great Li eradicate the three great organizations, the king didn’t find it appropriate to say anything. Jiang Li understood some of the situation by now and looked at the city for a while too. “My king... Is Silver City... covered by a special energy?” he asked softly with confusion.

“I’m not sure.” The king shook his head. How would I know? I can’t see anything, but I can sense that the city is filled with shifting emotional states of violence, anxiety, and unease.

It felt like a powder keg!

It wasn’t only Silver City, but also the Great Li army that fidgeted restlessly at the command to retreat. Some people didn’t want to withdraw, which put the king in a helpless mood. What, were they to imitate Divine Nation if they didn’t retreat?

Great Li was less than the late Divine Nation. Watercloud Dynasty had surrendered, Divine Nation had lost its army and countless divine spirits. The heavens smiled upon Great Li for it to be able to retreat wholly intact and losing only ten thousand soldiers in the invasion.

The Great Li king rather suspected that if he hadn’t been part of Li Hao’s ambush yesterday, then the next nation to fall after Divine Nation would be Great Li. At that point in time, the young man had urgently sought to slaughter people to quiet the emotional uprising of his heart.

Toppling Divine Nation hadn’t fully quelled his thirst for violence. When the Great Li king offered to retreat, he’d done so with extreme apprehension. He’d been deeply worried that Li Hao would still choose to annihilate Great Li.

Thankfully, the young man regained his mental faculties in the end and didn’t do so. He agreed to the king’s proposal of withdrawal and staying out of Skystar affairs.

Power collected by supernatural characters formed a massive shield over the city. The slightly tattered ‘dao’ character hovered in the middle of the city. Power surged to it from all sides and formed an enormous dome of light with the ‘dao’ character in the center.

The dome encompassed everyone.

Li Hao took a deep breath. It was no small feat to bring the Hao Cosmos to Silver Moon world. Not to mention, he wanted it to envelop all of Silver City. It was even more difficult without Stellaris being a tool!

But, it was worth a try.

If he succeeded, it would certainly cause the dao universe to erupt in a rampage since there was a lot of Red Moon power in the area. A thunder tribulation would be upon them; the subsequent convergence of great dao power would be very useful to him in times to come. The soldiers would only be able to absorb a limited quantity of dao power.

Additionally, the dao power would also make hidden dao meridians apparent. Li Hao had been unable to locate the god of prophecy’s dao meridian before. So despite killing the god, he could resurrect at some point in time.
