Star Gate-Chapter 1138: Improvement of All Hands (III)

Cheers rose and fell from the Silver City side. Even so, there were so terrified people who couldn’t resist their impulse to run. Multiple scarlet figures sought to escape, but they were all cut down by powerhouses in the void.

“Do not move or seek to avoid the thunder and lightning!” Li Hao’s voice rang out. “There will be no mercy shown to those who violate orders! This is a great opportunity for everyone, only those with guilt in their hearts will try to flee. Anyone can kill the deserters!”

Once these instructions were given, those who tried to escape were immediately cut down by those around them as soon as they took to the air. Don’t get in the way of our cultivation!

The thunder tribulation did not end, it continued to strike everyone in the vicinity. Tendrils of Red Moon power were repeatedly annihilated and absorbed by people, alongside great dao strength, once they were destroyed.

Li Hao hovered over the Great Li army, claiming all of the great dao strength for himself.

The Great Li king was loath to accept the situation and flew upward, tentatively absorbing some for himself.

“Commander Li! It does not reject me...” His eyes lit up. The king wanted to follow that up with—that means my army can absorb this energy as well!

“You’re strong, so you can absorb some.” Li Hao shook his head. “Great Li does not cultivate the new martial dao. Those who are weaker will die if they absorb this energy. I can do nothing about the inherent clash between daos. They lack dao meridians and acupoints—they will explode if they are unable to digest the energy they take in!”

“Ah...”

“It’s fine for you to absorb some, but you can’t absorb too much. You’ll also explode from energy that you cannot digest, understood?”

The Great Li king was so dejected that he wanted to vomit blood!

Everything would be perfect if the young man could open thirty-six dao meridians! He would then truly be able to stand against some Saints, as opposed to borrowing strength from others.

Li Hao absorbed energy for all his worth! He’d expended several hundred million energy stones and thousands of drops of Water of Life to set up this domain formation. It would be quite the loss if he couldn’t make back this expenditure!

The Red Moon exalted emperor paused—was the power that he’d sent out rapidly dissipating? Why was that?

The man frowned. He was an exalted emperor. His level of strength was so high that even Saints and Empyrean Kings weree hard pressed to expel his energy once they were contaminated. So then, why would his power fade away on a large scale?

His frown deepened and he tried extending more power to Silver Moon world. It disappeared like smoke and vanished once it landed in the world.

He’d expended a great deal of Red Moon power to infect these people. He’d also expended a great deal of his resources over the years because he’d been kept isolated from the world. His strength was a far cry from yesteryear, but he soon discovered the problem.

“There is no one that exists within Silver Moon world who can erode the power of an exalted emperor. Even the bloodlines of the eight families can only barely defend against me. Unless... there is... a new dao universe!”

The look in his eyes sharpened. Was there a dao universe for a new martial dao in play here?

Damn it! How was this even possible?

Even if there was a new dao universe, that shouldn’t mean that everyone could enter it. Not even the core origin dao universe was accessible to all. The same went for the Red Moon dao of the Red Moon universe.

Therefore, why was this happening?

“A repulsion from great dao...” Being an exalted emperor, he knew much of the world’s functions. His brows were tightly knit together from the implications. If the dao universe rejected him, why did it reject everyone else as well? It was very strange!

“Damn it!” he cursed with extreme anger. He’d expended endless Red Moon power to infiltrate Silver City, but something seemed to have gone awry. Damn it all!

Not only that, but the Sword Sovereign shadow from the family of the Lis suddenly grew a little stronger. The exalted emperor paused...

“You little bastard!” he howled with indignity. “You borrowed this emperor’s strength to enhance yours! You blasted whelp!”

Indeed, Li Hao was of the bloodline of the Lis and one of the eight threads was tied to him. The stronger he was, the stronger the shadow would grow. The young man had been too weak before and Stellaris stronger than him, so that cause and effect hadn’t been as noticeable.

Now, however, the sword was broken and the shadow extremely fragile. Hence, any changes in Li Hao were clearly reflected in the shadow.

How would the exalted emperor not understand what was at hand when he saw the reaction!

It would be one thing if it was the Sword Sovereign was the architect of his loss, but it was an insignificant junior being the cause of all this! It was unacceptable!

“Li Hao!” snorted the exalted emperor. He withdrew all of the Red Moon power and no longer sent it into Silver Moon world. Damn that kid!

Sending more of his power out would just be for Li Hao’s benefit and turn into the kid’s strength. When he weakened and the Sword Sovereign’s shadow grew, wasn’t that just using his own strength to kill himself?

At the same time, Silver Moon province.

Some people sensed changes in the world and walked out of the ruins. Their replicas hovered in the air and looked in Silver City’s direction. The distant city was as resplendent as a sky of stars. It was a puzzling sight. So much had happened over the past couple of days. What was going on in Silver City now?

White Moon City.

Zhang An also sensed the changes and floated outside of the ruin. He looked into the distance and saw a cosmic expanse. His expression shifted slightly. What was Li Hao doing now?

At the moment, Li Hao was clearing acupoints in addition to absorbing great dao power. He observed the universe at the same time, wanting to see where the power of the great dao was originating from.

These places might be where clusters of stars gathered, or it might be where the divine spirit great dao was located. Even if they weren’t, they were zones in the Hao Cosmos where energy gathered. It would be very useful for his continued organization of the great dao.

There were thirty open dao meridians in his body by now. He’d absorbed a variety of great dao power in a very short period of time that helped him open six dao meridians. Granted, this result also had to do with his personal strength.

The young man had been restricting himself all this time, refraining from opening more dao meridians so that the limits of the world wouldn’t increase further.

Indeed, not the top brass, but regular soldiers! Some had cleared 181 acupoints, which represented they were Mountain and Sea!

It was such a short amount of time for their cultivation to progress thus. They’d almost all been Sunderers to begin with, then Dominators after they cultivated for a few days and opened their body dao meridian.

None among the regular troops had advanced to Mountain and Sea. But now, someone had—and more than one!

Li Hao’s original boast of having tens of thousands of Mountain and Sea under his banner might become reality today. Even if that goal wasn’t reached today, these soldiers might attain that level in days to come!

There really would be tens of thousands of Mountain and Sea then!

“Accelerate your efforts, time is of the essence.” Li Hao’s voice rang through the area as Huang Yu nearly capered with joy. “You have ten more minutes at most. Clear as many acupoints as you can! Everyone is to consolidate their mind and heart after ten minutes before disengaging from this place!”

The energy that he’d activated was nearly depleted and the Red Moon power completely eradicated. The exalted emperor was miserly and refused to send more energy down—there was nothing that Li Hao could do about that.

As a result, they would disengage from the Hao Cosmos soon, albeit with great gains!

Li Hao felt that he would be at thirty-three dao meridians when the cultivation session came to an end. It wouldn’t be thirty-three of the thirty-six as some of them were attributed meridians.

There were also changes in the dao universe. Shimmering stars filled it!

Some of the dimmer, weaker stars abruptly sparkled to life. This meant that part of these celestial bodies were possessed by those present in the army. Their star brightened when they grew strong!

Li Hao was in a fantastic mood and hid all of his previous thoughts in his heart. The Hao Cosmos is stronger, which means I stand more of a chance! Perhaps I’ll be able to awaken them soon!
