Strange Worlds-Chapter 271: Second Day
Chapter 271: Second Day
The night passed quietly.
The next day, Aya and Evan brought Aren to the competition venue once again. Keiran and Lilac were also present and it seemed that their parents had agreed for them to continue watching.
"Is it fine for these children to skip school and come here again and again?" Dean asked in confusion.
"It should be fine?" Evan was unsure and turned to look at Aya.
"They already have the permission." Aya shrugged. "Besides, it’s just a few days in a year, which is nothing much as long as their lessons are not left behind."
From what she knew, these three children were smart and should be able to follow the teaching in the class easily. There wouldn’t be any problem with them taking a short break to come here and watch the competition.
At the very least, this was Aya’s opinion.
The three children were quite smart and the lessons in the academy were not difficult. Aya was persistently the first place in her class no matter whether it was the theory class or the physical class. The others could only compete for the second place.
Of course, the physical class would mostly be about sparring against each other.
The teachers would not ask them to compete in their magic spells’ level because some students’ development was slower. So they took the most direct method, which was to let these students fight against each other on the training ground.
With that method, Aya was able to beat up almost all of her classmates.
Except if they gave up directly.
"I see." Evan nodded and then didn’t pay attention to Aren anymore. The next opponent he was about to face was someone from the White Family and it would be bad if he couldn’t win.
Aya noticed Evan’s appearance and tilted her head. "You’re nervous?"
"Father told me that I’m not allowed to lose," Evan replied with a bitter smile.
Hearing this, Aya nodded thoughtfully. This Vance White was one year above them and then assigned to the same class with the others. If she was not wrong, Vance White was the most talented member of the White Family in the branch family.
He managed to fuse his magic inheritance, which made him qualified to contend for the position of the patriarch if there was no one from the main family who managed to fuse their magic.
Unfortunately, Evan appeared.
So Vance’s qualification was basically void. Besides him, there were a few other branch member of the White Family who managed to fuse their magic but they were older and their magic ranks were not very high. Based on talent and performance so far, Vance was only slightly behind Evan. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓
It was no wonder that the White Family Patriarch’s brother didn’t want his son to lose.
Because it would be embarrassing if Evan were to lose against Vance.
"His magic fusion is crystal eyes," Aya said slowly. "His defense is one of his weaknesses, so you just have to get close to him, fast enough so that he can’t react."
"What...?" Evan was confused.
Aya smiled faintly. "Crystal eyes do allow you to see more and if you want to focus on the details, you can see many things around you. But being able to see and being able to react in time are two different things."
This was something that Aya herself knew very well because she had crystal eyes. In her previous life, her physical strength was indeed quite good but because that method has been popularized for a long time, she didn’t have any advantage in this area.
Because of that, Aya’s reaction speed was often not fast enough to cope up with her opponents.
From that point, Aya went on crazy training mode when she was young and honed her physical strength to the fullest so that she could react to various attacks from her opponents. Be it magic attack or physical attack, she had to be able to cope up with it.
"I see." Evan realized that Aya was right.
As long as Vance’s physical skills were below him, then Evan might have a chance of cracking the other party’s crystal eyes. Thinking about this, Evan smiled brightly and felt more confident.
Aya saw Evan’s appearance and nodded lightly.
She looked at the arena in front of her and sighed silently. Who would have thought that their destined meeting would be in this arena.
But in the original history trajectory, Dean would have died.
"Sister."
Aya stopped and looked at Aren behind her.
Aren was listening to the two cousins’ conversation and realized that even though their so called magic inheritance was powerful, it was not invincible. But even if it was not invincible, Aren wanted to be able to use this magic.
Because it was very convenient.
"Do you think it’s possible for me to use our family’s magic inheritance?" Aren asked slowly.
’No, it’s not possible.’
After being attacked by that ghost when Aren was still young, Aya realized that Aren’s body had weakened terribly. Any kind of magic inheritance was something that was passed down through their blood and genes, but because Aren was very weak, he might not be able to awaken it for his entire life.
The branch family also had the chance to use their magic inheritance, but the chance was lower than the main family because the blood and inheritance was not as strong as the main family.
Aya and Evan could be said to be the few who had the highest chance.
And the best method to purify their blood was through blood refining, which was passed by their mother to their child after the child was born. The main family would have the complete method while the branch family would have the incomplete method.
Over the years, the main family would be much more powerful because of this method.
But the blood refining would also use the mother’s blood... which would definitely weaken them in the process. And... their mother died on the day Aren was born, so there was no chance for Aren to experience the so called blood refining.
