Why were superhumans not the rulers of today’s world?

Raygun knew that he was stronger than everyone else! He was one of the most powerful men in the world and he could carve the world into anything he wanted with a wave of his hands! So why should he have to listen to what these fucking judges told him to do!? His wife and children were his property! His money was his property! Why would he allow them to take everything he owned and leave him with nothing even though he had all this power?

Raygun realized after thinking that he had been a fool! If he had fought back with his physical strength, then what could they have done to him!? They wouldn’t have been able to take anything from him! They were just holding him back because he allowed them!

He would show them all! He would show them that the superhumans were stronger than anyone else! They were the ones blessed by evolution to become the new rulers of the world! They were the ones who would take charge in the future, so he had every right to do what he wanted!

Raygun looked around at all the people running from him in fear and he felt a sadistic pleasure filling his body at the sight of it! Yes! This was how humans were meant to react to the sight of their betters! This is exactly how the world was supposed to be! Superhumans weren’t slaves who risked their lives just to protect humans! They were rulers! Kings!

"Run, you rats! RUN!"

Raygun rose his hand again and unleashed another blast of pure energy that tore through a crowd of humans! The humans didn’t stand a chance against the destructive power as they were immediately vaporized to nothing and the blast continued toward another building and tore it to dust!

The reporter that was watching the scene unfold felt vomit rise to her mouth at the sight of so many people being killed at once and she told the cameraman to turn the camera away from the scene immediately! There were likely children watching and it would be bad if they saw that!

The reporter watched for a few more seconds and she wondered if there was no one who would stop this madman, but she didn’t have to wait long before she heard the sound of a helicopter heading their way! She looked up in shock and her face brightened when she saw the SMD logo on the side of the helicopter! The Enforcers were here!

The SMD helicopter flew toward the scene quickly before it swerved to the side and began circling the crime scene! Raygun also looked up when he heard the loud sound of the helicopter and he roared in anger before putting his hand up towards them and letting off another blast! These fools think they were going to stop him!? He was Raygun! He was a fucking superhuman! These traitors were fighting for the wrong side! They didn’t understand that they were the ones with the power, so they had to learn!

The blast flew straight for the SMD helicopter, but before it could hit, a man jumped out from the door and spread his hand out below him! A wave of sand suddenly tore its way out from the fallen debris all around the battle scene and formed a shield in front of the man! The laser slammed into the sand shield with the force of a demolition bomb, but Raygun was shocked when the blast didn’t do anything to the sand! The sand stayed strong and protected the helicopter from the hit and after Raygun’s attack died out, the man falling from the helicopter dispersed the sand and began to free fall to the ground with a glare on his face!

It was only after the man got close enough that Raygun finally realized who it was that he had just fired at! That was Keith from the superhuman Enforcers! The Master of Sand! Why the hell was he here!? Every superhuman knew how Keith was and they also knew just how strong he was! He was powerful enough to take down most A Ranks! fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

Keith slammed into the ground as he landed and he stood slowly while giving Raygun a blank look. Keith looked around at all the people that were dead and running away and Keith felt his blood boil in anger as he turned back to Raygun and spoke.

"Lay down with your face on the ground. You are under arrest for murder and destruction of property. You have a right to remain silent. Anything you say or do can be used against you in the court of law—"

"Who do you think you’re talking to, you bastard!? Can’t you see that I’m doing this for us!? This is who superhumans are meant to be!"

Raygun had gotten angrier and angrier the longer Keith spoke and he immediately cut Keith off as he shouted at him, but Keith ignored Raygun’s shout and continued talking.

"You have the right to an attorney. If you do not have an attorney, then one will be provided for you—"

"I said shut up!!"

Raygun raised his hand and unleashed a blast of pure energy and Keith raised his hand and released his gift to form a wall of sand from the debris in front of him! The energy slammed into the sand and they both fought for dominance for a moment, but Keith was an A Rank while Raygun was only a B Rank, so there was no way Raygun would be getting through the shield!

The energy blast fizzled out after a while and Keith dropped the shield before he continued talking.

"Do you understand these rights?"

Raygun was breathing heavily! His eyes were narrowed in anger and his hands were squeezed so tight they were almost leaking blood! This bastard just didn’t get it! He didn’t know that Raygun was fighting for him! All of this was for the good of superhumans! Did he want to remain a slave to the regular humans all his life? They could become the greatest in this world if they just fought back! Raygun knew he was right! He was definitely not wrong!

Raygun got into a battle stance with both hands held in front of him and ready to attack.

"I don’t care what you say. I’m not going down without a fight. If you don’t get what I’m trying to do here, then I’ll just beat you until you get it!"

Raygun knew that the difference in their power was great, but he was sure that he would be able to put up a good fight! Power wasn’t the only thing that mattered in battle! And if he couldn’t win, then he would just run!

Keith sized Raygun up with a calm gaze before his mouth squeezed into a frown as he spoke.

"I said, do you understand these rights?"

"Shut up about your fucking rights and fight me!"

Raygun immediately put both hands forward and unleashed a blast on Keith and Keith turned to the left and easily evaded the blast! Keith allowed his body to fall forward for a split second before he suddenly planted his feet and dashed towards Raygun!

BOOM!

Raygun backpedaled for a second at the sudden movement from Keith and he put both hands out to where he thought Keith would be and unleashed another blast! But a pillar of sand rose from the ground under Raygun’s hands and slammed them up, forcing the blast to miss by a large margin and fly up into the sky! The sand pillar surrounded Raygun’s arms and Raygun cried out as they suddenly hardened like steel!
