The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife-Chapter 395 – I’m really not sorry
Chapter 395: Chapter 395 – I’m really not sorry
"You mean the woman who stole your twin brother is here? Why are you so excited about it?" Cecilia asked in annoyance. She only expected to hear news about Jacob and not that woman.
Also, she wanted Robin to be upset and deal with her, not to be happy about her. However, as soon as Robin brought up the matter, Sabrina went upstairs to change into something more comfortable.
"Grandma, I think it was best for my twin brother and I to be apart. He has eyes on my wife and you know how I can’t stand anyone having eyes for what’s mine," Robin explained his reason for tolerating Ethel.
"So, he’s that serious?" Grandma asked with a shocked expression.
Robin explained it patiently since Jacob and his mother were about two minutes away. "Yes. He even told me that if we had grown up together, Sabrina would have never been mine."
Cecilia was having a pending headache. She had heard about these kinds of issues where two siblings would be obsessed with the same person, but it was usually two sisters being obsessed with the same man.
"The two of you would have hated each other because of Sabrina," she stated in careful thought. Robin nodded his head in agreement and somehow, he didn’t feel bitter talking about it anymore because Sabrina was his again.
"Exactly my point so we should be happy that things turned out the way they did."
"Alright. I will talk to the chef. Get Sabrina and the two of you should go and bring her," Cecilia gave up and said, but Robin felt that she did not understand.
"You didn’t understand it well, grandma. Jacob is here too."
Cecilia’s eyes lit at the mention of Jacob and she began to hasten around. "What? What are you waiting for? Hurry and bring them."
Robin frowned a little, not recalling when he ever earned such an anxious look from his grandmother.
"Grandma, you seem to prefer my twin brother over me." There was a slight jealousy in Robin’s tone and before Cecilia could explain that it was because she had never seen his twin brother before, Sabrina appeared above the stairs and interrupted,
"Stop being a baby, my King, let’s go and bring them."
Robin’s excitement returned at the sight of Sabrina but he was also scared because of how gorgeous she looked in that long simple dress.
God, a pregnant woman was rocking a simple outfit like a model. "My queen, you look so gorgeous but I don’t think you should have worn this dress."
Sabrina smiled as her cheeks heated up. She loved compliments, but it was always different when they were from Robin.
"My King, I’m only yours and since you already wasted so much time, let’s go and receive our guests," she said.
Cecilia was all smiles. The improvement of Robin and Sabrina’s relationship had sparked a desire in her heart, and she wondered why Robin’s parents were not alive to see this day.
She was certain that their happiness would not have allowed them to die so early. She went to do some final checks on the dinner table, and by the time Robin and Sabrina opened the door, Jacob was already there with Ethel.
"Your security men let me in easily. Did you inform them that I was a VIP guest or something?" Jacob asked seriously, but his expression carried amusement.
Robin realized how funny his twin brother was and responded with a smile, "No. I told them that you are family."
Jacob’s gaze pinned on Sabrina and he was mesmerized. "My lady, it’s a pleasure to finally meet you. You have exceeded my expectation with your beauty and charm," Jacob kissed the back of Sabrina’s hand and spoke.
Robin was a little uneasy but did not immediately respond as Sabrina let out a small smile and said, "It’s nice meeting you too."
Jacob stared at Robin and accused him, "You shouldn’t have let me see her."
Robin’s arms wrapped proudly around Sabrina’s waist as he revealed to Jacob, "Sorry, but we got married an hour ago. This is part of the celebration."
Jacob’s expression changed instantly, his hopes crashing to the ground. "I thought you only said it to scare me." There was no amusement in his tone or face. Robin only smiled wider, liking the disappointed look on his twin brother’s face and said,
"You should know by now that when it comes to her, I don’t joke."
"It’s nice to meet you, mom," Sabrina said politely to Ethel with an outstretched arm to diffuse the bickering of the brothers.
Ethel had a smile on her face as she hugged Sabrina and observed, "You are indeed everything Jacob said. But I am very happy that you are with Robin." When she turned to Robin, her eyes welled up.
"I apologize for taking your brother, but I don’t actually feel sorry and I don’t care if you take me to court. I had good times with him, but you still remind me of my unrequited love for your father."
Robin was torn between feeling sorry for Ethel and hating her. Due to his twin brother’s infatuation with his wife, he couldn’t bring himself to hate her, but he also couldn’t pity her.
"It’s okay. Let’s go inside and talk," he forced a smile and said.
As they entered the house, Jacob couldn’t help but comment, "I love the way this house looks. I’m sure it’s all Sabrina’s doing."
Robin kissed Sabrina on the cheek, and Jacob looked away as Robin explained, "Yes, it is. Besides her beauty and intelligence, she loves to keep things orderly and create attractive surroundings."
"I wish I had met her sooner," Jacob muttered. Robin heard him but chose to ignore the comment and turned to Cecilia. "Grandma, this is Jacob."
"He looks just like your mother," Cecilia said, tears welling up in her eyes as she hugged Jacob. The love from the elderly woman brought tears to Jacob’s eyes as well.
"I’m so happy to meet you, grandma," Jacob’s voice trembled slightly. The hug lasted for a while before Cecilia pulled away and looked into his eyes once more.
"You have no idea how I feel about all of this," Cecilia said, and Ethel spoke up, "I’m very sorry, Aunt Cecilia." Cecilia’s eyes darkened instantly.
