The President's Pregnant, Ex-Wife-Chapter 443 - I don’t plan to go easy on him
Chapter 443: Chapter 443 - I don’t plan to go easy on him
"Where did he go?" Robin asked, fuming. The agents carefully looked around from where the limo had smashed into a tree. frёeωebɳovel.com
After searching thoroughly, there was no sign of a person inside the limo, but one of them detected something odd and yelled,
"Take cover."
Robin observed that there was a fuel leak, coming into contact with the small fire sparked as a result of the collision, which meant that the car was going to explode.
The agents were experts at things like this but not Robin’s best friend. "Daniel, jump," Robin yelled.
They jumped together in different directions at the same time the limo was set ablaze in the air, causing a mess everywhere.
The beautiful lawns on the floor were all in disarray, and Robin was coughing from inhaling so much smoke.
"Are you alright, Mr. Jewel?" One of the agents asked, helping him from the floor. Robin nodded his head and began to look around nervously.
"Dan, where are you?" He asked when he heard someone coughing from behind. Quickly, he went to support Daniel to his feet.
"Are you alright?" Robin asked seriously, scrutinizing his best friend for any injuries, be it fire or anything else, but there were none, except that Daniel took a while to stop coughing.
"Yes, I’m fine, but does it mean that we lost him?" He asked seriously, not willing to accept that all their efforts were in vain.
He didn’t follow Robin’s look-alike all these hours to come to a dead end and was not willing to accept it.
"His car is here, which means that he could be anywhere," Robin said. No one saw where his look-alike went, and Robin did not believe in ghosts.
It meant that he could be anywhere at the moment. One of the agents called Laura to give her an update, hoping that she could help them solve the puzzle about Robin’s look-alike.
"Agent one, Mr. Jewel’s look-alike escaped," the agent reported. Laura had a scowl on her face from where she was feeding the twins.
Jacob had gone to shower as soon as she arrived and had resumed her duties as a nanny to the twins.
How?" she asked seriously. The agent explained patiently, "He drove into a tree but we can’t find him and the car already exploded."
Laura was uneasy from where she sat, her suspicions kicking in. "Did he die in it?" she asked seriously.
The agent responded from his side of the line, "No. The car was empty before it exploded."
Laura was a little relieved by the explanation and went on to reveal her suspicions, "Then he is hiding somewhere around. He can’t be far."
The agent shook his head in disagreement, saying, "We have searched everywhere. This place looks like a garden."
The moment Laura heard about a garden, an idea flashed in her mind. "What if there are houses underground?"
The agent frowned at Laura’s wild imagination. "Like those bunkers? I always heard about them but never saw any," he calmly replied as Laura explained it clearer.
"So don’t rule out the possibility until there is none."
The agent thought about her words carefully and analyzed, "If I understand what you mean, then I have to find an underground exit or entry?"
"Exactly. I would have loved to help but I already returned to being with the twins," Laura said with a smile.
The twins brought out her soft side, making her feel like their real family.
"Alright. I will take care of it." As soon as the agent ended the call, he spoke to the hearing of everybody.
"Agent one suggests that we search for an underground exit and entry for an underground bunker."
The news was like a wake-up call for Robin and he exclaimed, "Why didn’t we think about that? Let’s all begin to search for it."
It would make sense for an underground bunker to exist due to how fast the fake Robin disappeared from their reach. Robin was eager to find the exit or entry before it was too late.
On their knees, they began to search for the underground exits as Robin said, "He really planned a good hideout."
"Are you going to unite with him if he is indeed your brother?" Daniel asked, as he did not want to forgive this man if they found him.
Robin shook his head and replied, "Nothing draws us together like when I met Jacob. There was just something about him that kept hinting at me that there was more to him, but I don’t feel that way about this man."
"I’m glad to hear that, as I don’t plan to go easy on him. If he was the one responsible for me and Lizzy’s accident, he has to pay for it."
Robin nodded his head in agreement and replied, "You are right and you shall have the justice you deserve. But first, let’s get him for questioning."
Daniel frowned deeply and asked, "For questioning? Why so?" He wanted the idiot to be dealt with and not waste time for him to disappear once again.
"We just have to make sure of his DNA to know exactly who we are dealing with. That is the only reason why he might be privileged to be kept alive until the DNA test result is ready."
It wasn’t long when Daniel announced after a long search, "I got something."
Robin went to his side and lifted it together with one of the agents, explaining things to them.
"There is an elevator, but it won’t open to us." He could see that the elevator would need a password or fingerprint for entry.
However, Robin was not willing to give up and pointed out, "Then there should be a stair for emergencies. That might be the exit," one of the agents said and began to search for another exit.
"Got it," another agent said, relief washed over all of them, as they partly guessed that their enemies were going to be finally nailed.
