As promised, madam Qian was there to give Alix a personal tour of the school. Along with her was the vice principal and two teachers. There was another woman that stuck to madam Qian's side but she was not introduced and neither did she make an effort to identify herself.

But Alix didn't dwell on that because sooner or later, she would find her identity.

The school had three buildings, one was newer but two were older and needed furnishing. Because the population of students was not large, one building was unused.

The school compound was not very large but they had a track field and enough space for outdoor gym class.

There was also a basketball ball court and a swimming pool with rusty facilities.

Within forty minutes, she had been given an entire tour of the school and also a breakdown on how the days normally run.

"Is this all?" Alix asked madam Qian. She had been expecting more. In her mind, the amount of money she had paid was quite large and she had been expecting more even though she had seen pictures online. But, everything was smaller online to fit into one picture or so she assumed.

"Welcome to the business of real estate." Answered madam Qian. "Money doesn't always translate to property size. Like I told you, most of the valuation is of the land itself. But, I heard that someone was asking around around and buying up properties here. If you want to expand, beat them to the punch." She advised.

"With which money?" Alix responded, in her mind.

But, she resolved to work even harder and get a few properties before everything was taken.

"The old principal also wanted to expand the school but it is so expensive. Properties here can go for up to five hundred million."

A squeaky sound escaped Alix's mouth. It was akin to the sound made by a trapped mouse. She had apparently been trying to fly instead of walking.

She had imagined herself buying properties and yet just one building could be sold for half a billion!!!!

The real estate market was a scam, a big scam.

"Are you okay?" Jin Kang asked her.

She nodded and pointed to a water pond that passed through school property and led further beyond the back gate. They were all standing behind the unused building and looking in it's direction.

The path towards the pond had some rocks, weeds and garbage. Most of the garbage were snacks or drinks. The students probably hang out here during breaks.

"Is that mine too?"

"Sort of because it's on your land." Madam Qian told her.

The vice principal added, "We don't allow the students to play around it. We also don't use it as it was built by the temple."

There was a temple at the back of the school, beyond the back gate. A small forest of trees was the boundary between the school and the temple.

"This actually used to be temple land many years ago according to an unsubstantiated rumor. If you want to use the pond, negotiate with the temple." Madam Qian advised her.

"I intend to." She said.

All the water plants and fish she had been given in the game could be placed in there.

"Do you want to take a look at the roof top?" The vice principal asked her.

She nodded and they walked towards the main building again.

Students were unsettled in their classes and many were squeezed against the windows, looking outside. Loudly, they discussed what they had seen outside.

"The new student must be from an affluent family. The vice principal is giving the mother a personal tour of the entire school."

"Does this mean it's another rich kid that has been expelled from their school and rejected by all the great schools. Aaaah, I don't like that type of person. We have enough of those already."

"But say, if the mother is being given a tour of the entire school then are they donating a building to get their child admission?"

There was a group of three girls, all friends and all members of a wannabe girl group. One of them said, "Girls, if he is a boy I have booked him as my first love."

Her two friends laughed and responded with questions.

"Are you trying to climb your way into a wealthy family already?"

"What if he is sixteen? We are already eighteen. Misty, forget about it, let's just keep working on our songs."

"It could also be a girl."

"Or it's not a student at all. Has anyone actually seen a new student?"

"Guys, on the forum, there is a new post. We have a new student, for real. The ninth grade class president has posted on the forum." Someone else, a boy run into the classroom and announced loudly.

Misty groaned in disappointment. Her first love was gone just like that. She could not crush on a 14 or 15 year old.

Her friends laughed as they watched her walking back to her desk. A few other students did the same. The new rich kid was not going to be their classmate after all. They were seniors and he was a junior.

"Oh, guys, it's not a new rich classmate. The school was sold and we have a new director. Wow, the owner is rich. Old Moo at the gate has said it is a woman, she has a bodyguard and a driver and she was addressed as young madam." A girl that was just arriving in the ninth grade class announced.

"Oooh." Some students groaned in disappointment.

"I really thought that I was going to meet a real life second or third generation heir."

"What about me? I had already saved him a seat next to me. I thought I would get a ride in the Rolls-Royce."

"Wow, new information on the forum. The new classmate is a straight B student and sportsman."

"Hoo! Really?"

"Really, really. He is from number one high school and he is a badminton athlete that has won some competitions."

"What is someone like that doing here?"

"Maybe his family took a wrong turn and came to the wrong school."

"Was he expelled from his former school?"

"Who knows the name of the new director? Aaah, is it a strict person that will make us miserable?"

All two student occupied buildings were flying with true and false rumors as if a scandal had broken out in the school. The students were excited, and lively, chattering like two day old chicks in a chicken coup.

Before Zhi Yuewei even entered the classroom, his name, age, talents, social media, favorite food, and last exam score were already known to everyone in the school.

Some were of the opinion that he was connected to the new director while others thought his arrival just coincided with hers. A few students had already gone online to find wealthy families with the Zhi name.

By the time morning assembly started, even Alix's identity had been dug up. The students were already discussing her and a few were watching clips from let's get physical.

If she knew what they were doing, she would compare these students to Sherlock Holmes. They sure knew how to investigate and dig up all the information on all sorts of irrelevant things.

If only most of them dug into their books in the same way!
